I love the outdoor seating area. Really nice atmosphere. The staff are really nice and the satay chicken starter was amazing.
My only criticism is that I wasn’t allowed to have just two starters and get charged for that, it was set meal only for starter and a main. I didn’t want a set meal I wanted to just choose what I wanted. But other than that it was good
It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings
The Thai food was a joy and was well presented
There was a bit of chaos when we arrived as there didnt seem to be a system of bookings, however we did get an apology before being shown to our table. Once seated, we waited for at least 30 minutes before someone took our order for a drink let alone food. The restaurant was really busy, especially outside and they seemed to be short staffed hence the wait. Once the food arrived it was delicious. I had fish curry as main which I ate but the fish was really dry even though it was coated in curry. My hubby has lamb shank which he enjoyed. There was a live band outside; they were awesome, playing mostly mowtown music for over 40s I would say. It was a fantastic atmosphere and a memorable evening for 1st time eating at a restaurant since lockdown. We'll definitely be going again.
1. bit of a scrum on reaching the premises: esp in Covid times, having someone handling arrivals *promptly* would reassure customers and help maintain social distancing.
2. Partly our fault, given the place's musical name, but a loud live band were playing in the (adjacent) garden, so quiet conversation was difficult for long spells of the evening.
Just a tad disappointed with the full priced cocktails.
No Visible peach purée in the Bellini, no passionfruit (fruit) in the PornStar, there was no Happy Hour as stated on the Website plus we were not advised of this when the enquiry was made for us to attend earlier for pre meal drinks.
We’ve had these cocktails cheaper in other establishments made up to expectation, apart from that, food and service was very good.
Will visit again when the full menu is back in service but will probably have Cocktails elsewhere.
Food was fabulous. So glad you are back open. All of my friends ask to be taken there again. A firm favourite.
Great food. Friendly staff. Great band. Lovely place.
Excellent as always... The covid 19 situation could not have been handled any better.
Safe.. Clean... Friendly and delicious. Had a lovely evening.
Very highly recommended
Very nice, authentic food. Young guy who served us was excellent too.
Have brought many friends as I think the food is fabulous.
Never write reviews but SO impressed...!!
It was a surprise birthday meal and the staff were fantastic at facilitating the secret. A special complimentary dessert too, with a candle! And a song 😲as well.
We have eaten at The Blue Piano before, so expected good food, and on this occasion it was excellent, our choices assisted with the waitress's recommendations.
It was a quiet evening, really relaxing, with a good choice of music played in the background. A big thank you to the staff. In all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience!
The menu offers a good range of South East Asian food. We had a range of different starters, mains and desserts between our group and all were well presented, extremely tasty and reasonably priced.
I little piece of Singapore in Birmingham! Possibly the best Rendang I've had - certainly in the UK!
Their carrot cake is excellent and a real treat to find this outside Singapore.
Good cocktails, excellent ambiance with live music from the next door bar. Friendly service and a thorough allergy menu.
Friendly service, good food (but could have been hotter). Difficult finding somewhere to park if you don’t know the area.
Thank you for coming to the rescue when I forgot the candles for my partner’s birthday cake. The cake made his day and it wouldn’t have been the same if it hadn’t been lit! Thank you.
allways love blue piano, food is to die for and the ambience is carm and relaxing. highly recommend the blue piano.
Amazing food, great service and a lovely setting. Perfect Valentine's meal out!
Valentine's dinner. Absolutely spectacular food. The carrot cake starter was insanely good. The lamb stirfry main was brilliant. The chocolate brownie desert was epic. Even the sorbet palate cleanser was amazing. We stayed upstairs overnight too - wonderful and quiet room. Loved this place and we'll definitely be back.
Fabulous food, as always! Singapore carrot cake is the bomb!
Quick service, always an enjoyable experience.
Very nice food and drinks. Just need to do something about the lighting as it was quite bright in the room we were in.
The food is amazing and the main reason to go. Tastes authentic and nice presentation. Would definitely recommend it
As always the food was fabulous, andcoming early it was also not too loud.
A really lovely evening, great live music, the Chinese style food was extremely well done and very taste, service just right, never rushed , we had a nice window table and we were able to talk to each other, overall a very good evening we will definitely visit the Blue Piano again
I always enjoy a visit to Blue Piano. Very friendly staff and consistently delicious food, good wine too.
I look forward to the next time!
Food was great as always! Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The place was very busy so food and drinks orders took a long time to come. But I have no doubt I’ll return...I like the food too much.
Excellent food, good friendly attentive staff and lovely ambience. Will definitely come back again.
As always, the food was marvellous and the service very friendly! Amazingly good value at lunchtime.
The food was utterly delicious. The staff were delightful.
Very nice food
We had a lovely evening on Friday night. The food was amazing. Such good value for money and we would recommend to anyone. The staff couldn’t do more to help. Thank you for a lovely evening
A warm welcome on arrival. Fabulous cocktails. Our waitress was very knowledgable and helpful with our food choices. Food amazing we’ve been several times and will definitely return xx Love the place xx
Outstanding food and value for money, as always. Blue Piano really is a star in Birmingham's culinary scene.
Great food and very friendly service. Definitely recommend and will certainly be back. Great veggie menu
We came in for lunch and was one of the first to arrive. No one else in for lunch, but it did pick up around 12-12:30. We ordered from the lunch menu and was great food really tasty and good portions. Took a while for the food to be made which was a little disappointing as I only came in on my lunch break and only 3 others came in for lunch at the same time. I would recommend this place but maybe for evening meal.
We had a party of 5 and the food was lovely. The service was slightly slow, but it was busy in the restaurant and it didn't really matter as we were chatting.
I have been here a few times now and it certainly did not disappoint!
I would recommend!
We expected high standards and were certainly not disappointed.
The building itself is very nice.
We were impressed with the table restaurant layout as they weren't arranged to maximise turnover. This meant that you could have a conversation without being overheard or trying to compete with another neighbouring table.
The live music was in another room to the restaurant so even though we could hear it the volume didn't disturb us. After diminishing our lovely meal we then went into the bar to enjoy the music which was excellent while sipping on cocktails and whiskey.
The food was first class and we really enjoyed.
Lovely staff who responded well to our request for quick service & a quiet table
What a little gem! Busy enough for a buzz, but not so busy that it felt manic. Great service and truly tasty food! Great value too - a starter and a main on a Saturday night plus around 2 glasses of wine each for a bargain £30 a head. Highly recommend.
This was our first visit to Blue Piano. Both the food and service were excellent and we will definitely be back.
