Well I thought my dinner was fit for an appetizer I am a big person and scallops were small and Sweet mash potatoes.
The fresh shrimp was a little hard to chew.
Also the dinner was not cheap.

My gf and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Our server was excellent. He gave his honest opinions as to what to order. He didn't say everything is good or push us to the more expensive option. He was attentive and had a great sense of humor.

I was a little hesitant about choosing this restaurant at first because of some of the negative reviews regarding the creativity of the food and the price point. First, our server explained that the chef doesn't want to overpower the flavor of the fish. He wants it's natural taste and quality to stand on it's own, akin to steakhouse. He was right. Our branzini filet was cooked perfectly. The actual flavor of the fish really stood out. It was delicious. The portion was 7 oz., which is a good sized piece of fish. We also had the crab dip as an appetizer. It was good, but could have used a bit more crab. The side of sweet potato fries we got were abundant, cooked perfectly, and didn't have that heavy fried feeling you can get with fries. We also went with a side of broccoli that was a larger than expected portion that was well seasoned with garlic.

At this point we were quite full, but decided to have dessert on our date night. I went with the chocolate chip bread pudding and my gf got 2 scoops of the vanilla sea salted ice cream. Both were good, but nothing to rave about. The portions were also a bit small, which ended up being good because we were full enough from dinner.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Blue Point to everyone. Great service, delicious food, and if you split dishes it isn't as expensive as it appears. Especially if you bring your own wine or beer.

Fish is fresh and perfectly prepared. Service is wonderful. They know us because we are regulars and they really take care of us. Virginia is our favorite server - friendly, thoughtful and conscientious. Prices will seem a little high but we feel it is reasonable given the outstanding quality and they buy from people who have sustainable fishing practices. Best fish in the area.

What an amazing meal my Daughter & I were able to enjoy tonight.

It started with the Owner seeing us walk along the street with the stroller for our Granddaughter; opening the door and then ushering us to a table with ample room to park the stroller without it getting into anyone’s way - Other Diners or Staff.

Little Things like this make the evening dining that much more memorable!

After getting my Granddaughter settled in and while we were taking out coats of, fresh bread and water was brought to the table. Good start.

We ordered a bottle of sparking water and we remarked that it was too bad we had decided not to drink that night as this restaurant is one of those perfect places to enjoy a BYOB experience.

Cindy our waitress was very warm and welcoming. As She was presenting us with our menu’s she explained that everything they had was on these menu’s and we had several options to how we could have the various fresh fish catches prepared.

She also advised the portion sizes of the main courses; which allowed us to decide on the appetizers and ensure we could enjoy and finish our meals.

Firstly, their Clam Chowder is one of the BEST you can find. Not just a thin soup filled with potatoes and then clams you need a microscope to find. It was served very hot; was filled with clams and the flavoring was exceptional. Their Bowl; not a cup; is a great dish to start with.

Cindy asked us if we enjoy grilled octopus; which we do.

She recommended it and again we were not disappointed. It was tender and seasoned with a light olive oil dressing. I do like mine to also have Capers & Onions. This starter was finished quickly.

For our Mains I opted for their sautéed scallops that came with a huge baked potato that can be shared; plus an order of Asparagus. There were 10 or perhaps 12 scallops on the plate which totally surprised. My Daughter opted for one of their Tuna plates and she loved every bite.

Definitely must return!

This was our second time dining here. The fish is the best we have ever had. It is fresh and perfectly prepared. We had Icelandic cod, blackened Florida mahi mahi, grilled shrimp and mixed grill (barramundi and steelhead salmon). The vegetables were also perfect (broccoli, Brussel sprouts, baked sweet potato). Be sure and bring your own wine or beer (no corkage) as they do not serve alcohol but welcome guests bringing it in. The atmosphere is casual-nice.

Another great experience at Blue Point Grill. Tried a new fish, Wolffish, it was delicious! Simply prepared quality seafood that allows you to enjoy the fish. Friends had Arctic char and blackened Mahi Mahi. They were just as happy. Started with crab and guacamole appetizer that was perfect for sharing and full of crabmeat. BYOB too!

Excellent oysters. Our server helped us choose. The lobster was outstanding. The yellowfin tuna was delicious. The service could not have been better! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable.We look forward to returning. This was a memorable dinner!

My husband and I have been going to the restaurant since it opened. The food has always been great and most importantly consistent! We live in town so we walk to dinner and whenever our friends come in from out of town we make the res at Blue Point Grill ! We feel it’s the Best food in town and we Love it !

The food is always consistently great. However this time we were seated "outside" in the glass enclosure. The heat lamps were so intense and aimed right at your face, I was so uncomfortable, it felt like I was being cooked. Then there was the cold inter air that came in anytime the door opened. I wouldn't opt to sit there in the future. Maybe in the summer it is nice.

Blue Point Grill is our go-to restaurant for special occasions because it is reliably excellent! This last visit re-confirmed our choice. Our appetizers, including excellent oysters, our salad, and entrees were perfectly prepared and oh-so-delicious! I had the mix grill and my wife had the scallops. An appreciated touch is that the dessert menu always includes fresh berries. For us, this is the perfect ending to a delicious meal. Most restaurants do not offer this option.
Our service was excellent. It started weeks earlier when we requested a particular table. Quite honestly, the host said he could not promise, but he would try. We appreciate that. As it turned out, we did have our special table and were texted when it was ready. (Smartly done, so if we were not on our way it, others could be seated.)
A final note: Blue Point Grill has converted my wife to a seafood lover.

The blue point grill is one of our favorites. We went there to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Her North Atlantic Char was fantastic. I had the fried oysters, and I have to say that they were not good at all. The amount of breading on each oyster was triple what it should’ve been. The oysters were thick and crunchy, as if you had gotten them on them on an all you can eat buffet. The breading was not flavorful and I will never order that again. We will go back to the blue point grill because it does have other awesome dishes.

We were not crazy about the food. The crab cakes were little fishy and definitely not jumbo lump or lump crabmeat. Another fish dish was undercooked.

We have eaten here at least 75-100 times over the past 10-15 years. The fish is always very fresh and prepared so the natural flavor of the seafood comes through. Servers are helpful and upbeat.

Always dependably good.
Nothing fancy here, just fresh, simply and well prepared seafood ( they will prepare your your liking).
Try their buffalo calamari, it is well prepared, not over done where it almost melts in your mouth. I have been going to this restaurant since it’s opening which has to be over 15 years or more and have never been disappointed.

The food and service at the Blue Point Grill is always excellent. The fried shrimp dish is incredible; tried the wild rice with it for the first time and found it to be very satisfying. Service was also excellent and very attentive. Table was mid-restaurant and was very roomy.

Blue Point doesn’t disappoint! We dined with out of town guests, everyone enjoyed there meals from Trout to Atlantic chard not to mention the sushi appetizers.

Make sure you have a reservation! The Place was packed. Staff were friendly. Our waitress (Virginia) was outstanding. She answered all our questions. Made sure we were well taken care of. The food was served hot, well cooked and seasoned exceptionally. The raw bar was also great. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Highly recommend. Although a bit pricey everything was great!
