Blues Kitchen Brixton
Friday : 5 PM - 2:30 AM
Saturday : 10 AM - 3 AM
Sunday : 10 AM - 10 PM
Food is great. Drink selection as well. Only issue I have is that our table was 15 minutes late, but we had to get up at 10pm. So our reservation was cut short for 15 minutes. If you come when it's not that busy - it should be great.
The variety and generous portions were perfect for sharing. I went on a Wednesday during the drinks special which my friend and I enjoyed. There were lots of drinks choice and we were happy with everything. Service was attentive and prompt. I would definitely go again.
Great time with the family at blues kitchen. We had a lovely waitress who was very intensive to our needs as my sister is pregnant and my mum is elderly so thank you for being understanding. Food was phenomenal as always.
Table was not ready, Sauce on the seat which went into my jeans. Not child friendly what so ever. Ordered orange soda from the menu, did not have. Food took 45 minutes to arrive and came cold. Ordered a burger for my 9 year old and instructed it needs to be 100% plain. Burger turned up fully dressed which we all had to wait for it to be amended. Which Meant our food to be even colder. Terrible Sunday to be honest.
Enjoyed our night out here!
first time for all of us. food was excellent!
Will come again!!!
Lovely birthday meal for our friend who had never been to London before. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table to be ready but the service was good once seated. The portions were massive but also of very good quality! It said that there would be live music at 10pm but this didn’t start until 11.15pm but the general vibe was friendly and relaxed. Prices were as expected in London and good cocktails for the price. Service charge automatically added to the bill.
Everything about our visit was excellent. The venue was cosy.
Our waiters knowledge of the food and drinks on offer was exceptional.
The brisket beef was the most tender that we had ever tasted.
They even packed up what we couldn't eat for us to take home.
This restaurant was amazing....we had amazing service from beginning to end. A few staff members checked in on myself and my friend to make sure everything was going ok and if we needed anything else. The portions are large and price worthy, the tastes are mind blowing and the drinks are very well made. We had margaritas which had us slurring a little (lol) I would recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Brixton, make sure this is your go to for lunch or dinner 😊
Didnt put my partners order through the food arrived an hour + late.
Best restaurant ever 😍
The food was generous and awesome so was the service
Really humble place in Brixton - staff were incredibly polite and friendly. Very well looked after by all. Food was wonderful and drink prices rivalled local bars with ease. Didn’t break the bank for a really nice experience overall. Highly recommended.
The cooks have captured the spirit of a great Southern BBQ! If you fancy some proper, unapologetic, delicious meat and well made cocktails, this is your place.
Great service. Very friendly waiting staff. Cocktails are top class and we had some good recommendations. Would have to say its one of my best blues kitchens.
Was on a date and was sat at our table with some drinks. Waiter came over and asked what we were eating. Told him nothing for now. He then made a comment that we were supposed to be eating to be allowed to sit here, implying he'd go speak to his manager about whether to kick us out. Place wasn't busy, plenty of free tables. Did eventually order some food which was good but still didn't help the mood for the date. I probably wont be seeing the date or blues kitchen again.
very exciting and fun place. Food is great and nice atmosphere!
Sevice was good if a little slow due to the amount of people.
Food was disappointing. The burnt ends were more like a strange BBQ pork stew. The signature burger had a fried egg in it which was overkill.
Starters were good, lovely place to eat. Cocktails are good also. I have been there several times and the food was better on the first two times.
The Blues Kitchen is an excellent place to eat. I've visited a few times boe for various different occassions and all have been wonderfully lovely experiences. From the design of the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff and the food is to die for. This place is top quality!
Love the place and decoration was absolutely stunning, live music was also very good ! I booked a table for 8 but had 10 people with me, so I said that it was okay and we could squish in... I was told that wouldn’t be possible... we weren’t aloud to sit together... only 8 and that the other two couldn’t stand ! I felt this was very silly and showing a lack of trying to accommodate clients... speacially because we did squish in and it was fine. So why this attitude ??
Another critic that I hope can be constructive was the smoking area ... hated it ! It’s small and made me feel once again not welcomed. Could you not consider stamps or any other idea and we could smoke outside ? While getting in again without paying ?
Still would go back as the benure was beautiful and staff serving at the tables really kind and playful!
Great food to match the great atmosphere, would definitely recommend the Blues Kitchwn and will definitely be going back again
I totally underestimated the portions! Massive and filling and tasty!
It was absolutely amazing!!!! Definitely will be back again!!!! Awesome experience too!!!!
Danni our waitress very friendly and attentive. Starters great very filling. Main courses not great bit of a let down.
Deserts - missing an apple crumble on the menu. A fruit option would be good. Missed out on 3 sales as we all wanted a crumble.
Atmosphere great, deco amazing
Booked this as we were up in London for the weekend, we purposely booked a table for 8.30pm so that we were there for when the music started at 10.30pm.. at 11.15pm the music still hasn’t started. By this time we were fed up of waiting so we left. The food was lovely although a bit over priced, the mains came out while we were still finishing our starter platter. We asked for another drink and never received it. Overall the food was good but was disappointed as we had heard good reviews. We didn’t feel it met its expectations.
Always awesome food and left very satisfied especially as Tuesdays with the loyalty tag gets you 50% off.
Management is young and inexperienced. A waitress spilt 2 cocktails on us, offered no apology and management argued when we asked for compensation of some kind.
In the service industry, you should never argue with customers... Just apologise, offer some form of compensation and move on!
It put a real damper on our evening for having a discussion with the inexperienced manager on the night and left unhappy.
Absolutely amazing food, cocktails and atmosphere. Easily best food and drink I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the sharing platter and banana daiquiri! HIGHLY recommend! Will definitely be returning.
Food was great once it arrived, but we waited nearly 40 mins for it. The waitress was quite brash and could have been much friendlier.
We went for the nile rodgers and chic night it got to 1030 no music had started as stated on the event details. A band finally came on at midnight which was a country band. We spend nearly £200 waited 4 hours for a night to start that we were very excited about and it didn’t happen. No one notified customers of any change in the event. Disappointing.
Great food, great ambiance.
Really good experience!
Was great, v expensive for 2 people, but would highly recommend, service was particularly good !
Very authentic american - blues bar. Ribs on Monday are simply amazing and price is very low. Live music which is always great! Will come back and back and back...
Very nice atmosphere, the food was great & staff very friendly.
Food was very nice. Cost us £70 for 2 mains and 2 drinks. Beers are really small (come in a Coke sized can) nice for a special occasion. Disappointed that the music didn't start until 10:30 which was quite a bit after our table was booked, we expected there to be music all night. Staff were dressed in plain clothes so it was hard to tell who was staff and had to ask another server to get us more drinks.
Everything was absolutely top quality. Nothing else compares to the ribs and brisket. I also had the burger of the month which was undoubtedly the finest chicken burger I have ever tasted. Service was also impeccable.
Watched Hyde Park Brass live upstairs - made the experience amazing. Fantastic!!
having been recommended to eat here we had a wonderful meal and drinks we look forward for our next trip to London so we can relive the experience.
Good food as always, was a little bit disappointed at the music choice for a Sunday.
Great ambiance...great interior decorations/vibe. Great BBQ!!!
Best best in london on a Tuesday evening. Good service and great atmosphere
Arrived at the restaurant & once my reservation was confirmed, me & my partner were shown to our table. Shared starter of Buffalo wings was very nice. Main courses followed later & I certainly enjoyed my Beef short ribs & fries. My partner’s didn’t like her Jambalaya which was drowning with sauce. Overall the service was good, food a bit hit & miss & unfortunately some of the plates were not cleaned (Think their dishwasher needs looking at). Need to improve on the hygiene concerning the plates & in my humble opinion reduce the prices. Live music gave the venue a lovely atmosphere.
