Always love the blues kitchen - I go every year on my birthday. Great food, vibes and entertainment.
Love the atmosphere in here and the food was to die for. Not bad value for money either!
We came for the live music but were extremely impressed with the food. Really well cooked and tasty, good portions and very good value for money. It was very busy and loud as a venue (fair enough since it was a Saturday night) so don't come if you want quiet conversation!
Food was great. Service was poor.
We ordered sides with our mains. The mains arrive within 15 mins of ordering. The sides arrived after we had finished our main. We therefore didn’t want these anymore and asked them to take it back, which is when the waitress had attitude and did not apologise for the length of time.
You could not get a look in at the band - it was so busy we were packed in like sardines - so far out we could only see the tops of the instruments. We moved downstairs where there is a smaller folk style band - but then the downstairs also became so packed you're stood on or spilt on every two minutes. Queue to leave for the cloak room was MASSIVE - took about 25 mins to get our coats. If you are fresh out of university and used to the sardine experience, this may be your bag. Otherwise try elsewhere...
Came for the music which was great but a bit of a shame you can’t see from the table.
What a great place! I travelled from North London too see a live band, and had dinner there first. The decor was amazing, the food was very good, the service was friendly and efficient, and the vibe was great. Definitely well up there with places I'll keep going back to...
The staff were friendly and relaxed . The food was good. Will definitely be back.
Good Service and good quality food. Great pancakes.
Monday night rib night, was soooo good even brought another set of ribs home for the boyfriend.
Great venue lovely ambience, food was nice but bad service and a very rude waitress unfortunately
SO GOOOOOOD - the southern fried cauliflower is the best thing I've ever tasted. Had it before but came back again to show my boyfriend and he loved it too..
The best veggie option ever at a restaurant! Better than the chicken (said my friend who ordered chicken)
Another great evening at Blues kitchen. Great band in the evening and everybody loved the food.
Slight thing was were around 15 minutes/20 minutes late to be sat down despite our booking. This resulted in a few friends not wanting to pay service charged (which normally I always would)
But other than that -- the food was exceptional as usual and we had a great evening.
My fav place for a funky Saturday night in London. Best music, the live bands are amazing every time. Food is delicious! Proper hearty comfort food.
Burger of the month - return of the Mac (n’ cheese) - Just wow.
First time at this restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing! Service was great also. Cocktails are abit pricey but overall had a great time, would definitely visit again.
Everything about my experience was positive. The decor was beautifully finished. The service was attentive, friendly and swift. The food was amazing and was reasonably priced.
This will be my new goto Brixton spot for food.
We had a good time but after having been told there would be live music from 10pm, we were really disappointed that there wasn't any at all. We stayed until 11.30pm hoping someone would come on, but unfortunately it didn't happen.
A very poor service in this otherwise pleasant venue. The food was tasty (fried chicken and Oreo shake recommended), but the staff was really laid back and not even polite.
Well selected bunch of staff and cool interior and ambience. Food was good and everything you need to cure a hangover.
Expected to be able to hear the live music but it was so noisy that was impossible. If that changes then I’ll be back.....
