First time here and we really enjoyed it, within walking distance to the SAP center where we had a concert to go to after dinner. They called in the afternoon to confirm my reservation, when we arrived they were just cleaning our table, we were a few min. early, we went to go order a drink from the bar and our table was ready. They brought our drinks over, we ordered our food and it came pretty quickly. It tasted very fresh, awesome flavors only mistake was we ordered 2 of the sushi tacos and only got one but our waitress quickly ordered another one for us. I hear happy hour is great we were there just 30 min after so we will go back to check out happy hour. It is a little bit noisy but we could talk just fine.
My husband & I LOVE coming here for date nights, the food is AMAZING & the drinks are so delicious & dangerous lol the service is phenomenal👍🏼
Only two unfortunate issues.... a) got seated at the table closest to the front do on a very chilly evening so very drafty each time someone came in, and b) since we were there the night after Xmas and the fish market was closed, there were no oysters, which was the primary reason we had come down.
However! This is a great downtown place if you come during happy hour. The prices for many of the dishes (.including California roll, fondue (yum!) etc) are greatly reduced. A great deal - just make an Open Table reservation prior to 5:45
We love Blush. We love the many small plate options, including sushi. We had the tuna poke, mango seafood cerviche, beef carpaccio as well as the seafood tacos - they were all wonderful. Russ, the owner, is always warm; he does a great job. The service is always very good. Kendra served us and she is always very attentive without being pushy. Blush is a great restaurant in the lively San Pedro Square. Even though San Pedro Square is more of a food court, Blush is a small indoor/outdoor restaurant that should not be missed.
i dont know how you can offer oysters and not know how to shuck them. that was the appies and it just got worse, one of our unagi rolls showed up with no unagi. The drinks are good but the quality of the food was below par. I will say when we complained the waitress talked to her manager and they removed it from our bill but this must be normal because he didnt even bother to come over and apologize.
Great food and happy hour. Never a let down.
I chose the venue because I read that it was .2 miles from the San Jose Performing Arts Center where we had theater tickets. In fact, it was closer to .7 or .8. My husband walks with a cane and had some problem. Even though the food was very good, I think that the staff was a little taken aback with us "seniors." I, personally, loved being there for the Warrior Playoff game, but it was really noisy and the service was not at it's best. Would be GREAT for the under 30 set.
Good service and a great place to have large groups for special occasions
