We went to the restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening. The booking was made smoothly online and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the night.
Unfortunately the food was below average of the London Korean restaurants but it charged decent money. I don’t recommend the restaurant for eating Korean food as there are many other Korean restaurants in central London.
The restaurant is more like a bar. The place has a large counter bar and wide variety of cocktails. Unfortunately they play music really loud like a pub full of 18 years old, and the customers on the night at the counter were really drunk and spoke loudly. It completely ruined my dinner experience at Bo Drake. Maybe the happy hour offer attracted a wrong type of crowd? We ate as quickly as possible and left within less than an hour. It’s an overrated Soho place which simply caught the recent wave of modern Korean(ish) in London. I will not return again nor recommend Bo Drake to anyone.
Poor value for money and pretty limited food
I love this place. They give consistently great service and helped me find food I can eat that's delicious.
Love it! The dishes are creative and delicious! They do really good cocktails too!
Great little place. Good ambience, great food and very attentive and friendly service.
Great cocktails and tasty Korean fusion dinner. Lovely atmosphere, place really small so better always booking! Staff nice, despite were putting a bit of pressure trying to remove dishes and glasses too quickly (still not finished my drink yet). Slightly expensive than the value!
Great service - waitress gave us some really good info about the food which really helped with our choices. Meal was amazing. Will go again.
Absolutely abysmal! Do not eat here, try china town or somewhere with some dignity first.
Booked an evening table and was told to wait at the bar. Once enquiring about our table, we were told that we needed to book a dining table and our reservation had only merited a bar stool.
After complaining, we were split over a 4 person table with another couple, right in front of the door!
The staff obviously do not care about customers unless they’re paying a tonne.
They then had half of the plates (on what is a very-restricted menu) off for the day.
I was angered by the disrespectful experience and only paid for a drink for me and my gf and told them we wouldn’t be eating.
Needless to say we walked by 30 mins later after finding anoher place and half the tables were empty.
Very bad way to run a business!!!
Yummy as always, the food doesnt disappoint and the waiting staff are attentivs
I went there because of Dojo recommending it and what an amazing food experience it was!! Everything tasted incredible, big flavours, interesting combinations and the staff was really lovely. Not cheap but worth the money! I’m def going back (soon).
Pre theatre perfect for Chicago. A bit dark at the back of the restaurant but the food drinks and service all fabulous
Delicious food, cocktails and great atmosphere. Sweet potato noodles too salty and no need for more than four dishes between two people :)
No Drake was excellent - great food, great service - and would definitely go back again.
Second time back - food selection is great and service is very prompt. Beware it is a busy, busy place at peak time and can get a bit noisy. A Greek street gem
This was my second visit to Bo Drake. This is a great little Korean fusion restaurant in Soho. They run happy hour everyday between 5 - 7pm (and again after 10pm) where you can get 2 cocktails for £12. I would recommend the KFC chicken wings - they're delicious and are accompanied by a sauce that can only be described as "divine"! Also, if you're feeling adventurous order some kimbap (Korean sushi roll) which is made using cooked eel. They can be a bit heavy handed with the kimbap dressing, so ask for the mayo dressing on the side. Finally, book in advance to avoid a long wait.
Crispy Kimbab and KFC are definitely ones to order . Will be back for the Creme Brûlée.
Not on the menu but across the other side of the table was the star of the evening, by some distance.
It was a really good experience , the food is nice so is the staff as well. Definitely recommend the Wings and the cocktails (especially the cashew old fashioned)
This was my fifth or so visit to Bo Drake - an absolutely reliable fun time!
Really disappointing. The food taste very nice especially the ribs. The menu is limited and expensive for what you get.
However, the overall experience and ambiance is terrible. Their is din of chatter with a tinny sound music system you can hear a hum but the overall sound of chatter drowns our everything. It is a small restaurant and table layout not ideal. We previously went during the day for lunch so much better. We will not turn
Delicious Korean food, great cocktails and friendly service. Perfect for catch up with friends.
Love this place and always coming back. I had a friend who was on a fast but he had to break it when he saw the food on offer.
The food is tasty, but there is not enough of it! If the portions were a bit bigger and more complex then I would rate it more highly - it's a bit expensive for what it is.
Delicious food. Good service once seated. Shame that they gave our table away because we were 10 minutes late! We did get free drinks to compensate though. Very buzzy atmosphere. Amazing shiitake bao !
Visited Bo Drake for dinner with my boyfriend and we were really pleased to be able to book a table on a Saturday evening, without planning days ahead (which gets rare in Soho these days)
The restaurant is really lovely and the service professional and efficient.
We were very impressed with the menu and struggled to pick something as everything looked really appealing.
We went for the Burrata & Beetroots salad and Pork Belly Bao as starter and both were absolutely delicious.
As mains we chose the Miso glazed Baby Back ribs and Soy Ginger Salmon Fillet. The ribs were huge and so so tasty and the salmon was very nice as well (although we did struggle to eat all!)
The bill was mid-range and totally in-line with the quality of the food we were served.
All in all: great address and great pick for a nice dinner.
I love the KoreanFC and have been raving about it to friends (even typing this makes me drool). Service is always excellent, we never have to wait to be seen to. Bo Drake is an absolute favourite!
Good food for sharing with friends, good service and nice wine too
A quick pre-Theatre dinner of amazing shiitake bao and spicy chicken with mash... delicious!
Absolutely delicious food with subtle flavours. Surprisingly good cocktails as well.
A pre Theatre bite to eat here, namely two amazing miso mushroom bao, and a spicy chicken main. Delicious, and lovely service too!
Food was ok, nothing more. All things looked tasty on the menu but the food was a bit disapointing. Chicken wings and the porkbelly was the best. Service was also a bit sloppy. Took a long time before we got our drinks. SInce its not a cheap place I would not say its value for money. It was ok.
The food was lovely as usual, but the service was really poor. We have clearly communicated to our waiter (and he repeated back to confirm) that we would like to have starters FIRST and when finish, to have our main. While we were half way theough the startes, our main arrived. We told the waiter we’re not done and we want to finish startes first. He didn’t say anything(but rolled his eyes) and some other waitress at the background said “this is how we serve our food”. Great-but we have specifically said we want it served one by one...
The guy took the food back and then again came back few min later while we were still eating our starters! Not sure what was unclear but we felt rushed and unwrlcomed.
He left again without saying a single word and then another waitress took over servig us. She asked later on if we were ready for our main to be cooked and it arrived shortly after.
Very weird experience...I appreciate how this type of cuisinw is being served all at the same time, but I struggle to understand what’s unclear when you specifically ask for things to be served one by one.
Seems like Bo Drake doesn’t care and just want a quick table turnover....
Friendly staffs, great food, really enjoy the night at Bo Drake
The food was amazing. Plus 2 4 1 cocktails was great. The only thing I would say is they didn't advise they needed the table back after 1hr 30 until they told us the next party was in waiting on our table. We had not long ordered more drinks and we felt pretty rushed. Which kinda ruined the experience a bit.
Delicious as always - the wings are out of this world!
Service was very slow and table right by the door, which in winter means constantly getting cold. Food was mostly average, though the salmon and bulgogi beef sliders were very good. I wouldn’t rush back at the price, the duck at £19 was not good value for money.
I have been to Bo Drake a few times now and have always enjoyed the food and service is very good.
defo recommend this place.
The ribs were a bit chewy. Okay meal, but nothing exceptional.
More casual than I had expected, but good if that's what you're looking for
Amazingly tasty food, great cocktails, friendly staff and great service! This is our 3rd trip and I wasn't disappointed.
Enjoyed the evening with close family and friend to share my Earthday. Would recommend the Korean Inspired dishes for anyone new to it.
