Great to sit outside enjoying the delicious mushroom burger and unlimited fries. Very helpful staff.
I picked Bobo Social because I was meeting a friend for a leisurely Monday lunch and somewhere close to Goodge St Station on the Northern Line. I hadn't been there before.
We had a lovely meal, and opted to go downstairs which is cosy, and pale grey like the upstairs. We spotted two cavern like tables with lights, and have noted these for future meet-up with friends to book a big table.
We also took advantage of the Monday mains offer, which made the whole experience extremely reasonable as well as lovely food. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Cocktails (2 for £10) were good although they ran out of strawberries for the yummy One Day in Summer cocktail. Burgers were interesting - we had the lobster and crab burger and the bellisimo burger. Have to say I wasn't that impressed with the lobster and crab one - the waitress did say it was more mushy - fine - bit like a mushier fishcake in fact but the taste wasn't that great for me. I probably should have opted for a different one (I don't eat beef but was enticed by options apart from beef - wished they'd had a lamb option!). The Bellisimo had a fair bit of pesto which usually overpowers anything so my friend scraped most of it off. Sweet potato fries were tasty - cant really go wrong with those. The actual place was cute and intimate. Might go back and try a different burger at some point. Dessert listing didn't whet our appetite so we went elsewhere for dessert in the end. Overall, cocktails were nice and burgers were interesting and there are non-burger dishes which I might try next time.
Staff were so friendly and the food was great. There was a little confusion with our order which was quite slow and we wasn’t asked initially how we like our meat cooked. Lovely ambience and would probably consider there again perhaps. Was expecting a little special treatment as they delayed the main and also didn’t have the sea bass on the menu. No special treatment or deduction from the bill which would have demonstrated great customer service in my opinion.
Nice food. Would go again.
The food was good but overpriced, was £60 for a burger each , one chips each and 1 drink each.
Nice spot, burgers are really nice and they had a great offer with 2 cocktails for £10 that made us order way too many :))) anyway will come back for sure
One hell of a good burger, inadvertently booked on a deal offer so excellent value. I like the small ground floor space a lot, nice bar, trendy ad land crowd.
Bobo Social is on the quieter end of Charlotte Street. It's a small, homey restaurant with maybe seating for 12 unless you want to sit outside (not advisable in this chilly weather). Very intimate and had more the ambiance of eating at someones house with great personal details even to the bathroom. The menu was adventurous with specials like ostrich burger or zebra meatballs unfortunately none of us were brave enough to try it. I had the lobster and crab burger which unfortunately didn't have much flavour to it, but my friends thoroughly enjoyed the pulled chicken and the beef burger. It was empty on a Monday night so great for a catch-up. I would definitely be interested in going back to try out the cocktails and the beef burger next time!
Finally a burger that can capture your imagination and transport you into a full sensorial experience. The burger with peanut butter was to die for, so mouth-wateringly good! Great attentive service, a bit on the expensive side for a burger, but very well worth it!
Amazing burgers! My husband and I just popped in following some after work drinks, I'd been before so this was a spur of the moment 'oh, I know a good place we can go' kind of thing.
We both went for the classic bobo with cheese and it was delicious! I am so pleased that we decided to go there.
One of the best burgers ever, certainly the best burger for 2017 so far!
The waiter was also great, recommended a red and gave me a couple to try to see which I preferred for the evening - it was great for him to go the extra mile.
Inventive menu and worth the price for a more-than-average-day eating out experience. Small venue but beautifully decorated. Staff are very friendly.
Really enjoyed the meal and drinks. Service was fast and friendly, checked our food was OK when we got it. Not the cheapest place to eat but very good value for the quality and atmosphere. It lives up to its great reviews from restaurant critics.
Booked a table for a small birthday dinner, had a great time! Really good food, service, and overall a really enjoyable atmosphere.
Will definitely be coming back!
Great burger (with peanut butter!) and good, attentive service.
Had a fabulous double-birthday meal. The food and cocktails were great and the service absolutely spot-on. Would highly recommend!
Great service, atmosphere, original burger menu, and nice sides.
Service: Really good. Waitresses were friendly and very attentive. Although, we did come in at for 7:30pm booking, surprisingly it wasn't that busy at all.
Food: I highly recommend the beef-dripping 'Bobo chips'! The burgers themselves were just alright. We tried the mushroom and truffle burger- I was not a big fan of the addition of guacamole; and the peanut butter burger- there was too much peanut butter imo, and that overpowered the overall flavour.
Nice ambiance - the burgers were good but the wine was terrible. Ordered two different glasses, unable to finish either of them.
It's the second time I have been here, and the first time on Saturday. I liked it being quieter than the last time I went, and I am sure that it normally is busier as it has always ben popular when I walk have walked past.
The waiter was very attentive and charming, and the decor is amazing. I liked the kitsch mismatched china, and my dessert coming in a little jam jar. They did say it was little, but that was a little lie, it was deceptively rather generous.
Do have the wine, and have a dessert cocktail or two (you might have to prepare yourself for a sugar coma for some of them). All burgers looked delicious. Mine (the guest ostrich and beef burger) was divine.
Came with a few friends, the staff were very accommodating. Food was delicious.
From the street and the moment you walk in, to the very end of the evening, everything in Bobo is delightful.
Only place I found in central London not booked up on Friday so gave it a try. Pleasantly surprised - good chill atmosphere, perfect for going with friends and there was a great selection of burgers and it tasted really good! The sweet potato fries were a bit disappointing and the prices were a bit expensive but that is the only downside! Thoroughly recommend the peanut butter burger and the wagyu burger is pricey but it was also huge!
Very much enjoyed our meal - birthday celebration.
Little bit pricey but delicious burgers.
Amazing food, great Deco. Hight recommend.
They have something for everyone and different from most restaurants.
Went to this place with 3 other people on Friday night and got a seat on the benches downstairs. We all loved the homey feel of the restaurant. It seems to be a converted house which was cool and quirky- something a little different. The Shabby chic decor, and minimal 'on trend' light bulbs were a lovely touch.
As for the food- all got burgers which were fantastic- sweet potatoes were a little on the soggy side so would have been nice if they were a little crispy- apple slaw was nice.
Merlot- was very good! BUT the winner for me was the mushroom burger - did not realise I had ordered a fully veg burger (originally thought it was meat with mushroom on top) but I was not disappointed at all! It was AMAZING- highly recommend it!
Service- could have gone better - we had a waitress who had just started so not her fault but kept forgetting bits and pieces and also service was generally slack as we were downstairs I think. But overall - good experience. Would return!
If you want an unusual burger, this is a good place top start. They do the more traditional burgers too; I played it safe with the standard BoBo burger with cheese, and wasn't disappointed. One of us had the peanut and bacon burger, which looked great and apparently tasted really good. Worth a visit if you're a burger fan!
This is a fun, casual place to meet friends for a drink and a burger. The food is lovely and the cocktails are good, but it did feel a bit expensive all in. The service was good, but the ambience was a little lacking. We sat downstairs, and unfortunately for us we were right underneath the speaker and even though they kindly turned the music down a bit at our request, it was still too loud to talk to a group of 5 people easily.
Original and tasty burgers. Been a while I didn't get one like this 🤗 Highly recommended although a bit pricy
We came to Bobo social for a special Valentine's dinner meal. The food was quite good, although not specially memorable or original. The ambience was very intimate and romantic, and the service excellent. It was very disappointing to learn that the live music that was supposed to be part of the Valentine's dinner deal was over by the time we arrived.
Staffs and the ambience of the venue were top class! However, I've ordered a zebra & beef burger which was a bit tougher than I would like. Staffs were kind to make me a new one, but I feel that the second one was still a bit tough.
We booked at Bobo Social as one of the few places we've not been to up and down Charlotte Street, and it totally outstripped our expectations. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, with focus on simply presented food to let the quality ingredients and cooking shine through.
Our party ate the Peanut Butter and Capsicum burgers, both of which were fantastic. Sides of chips and deep fried pickles (deep fried pickled onions - inspired!) were welcome additions, though the chips in a tea cup was bordering on too twee for me.
As with anywhere on Charlotte Street, perfect position for a great meal before a train at Euston/Kings Cross. Would definitely recommend, and we'll be back when not in as much of a rush to try out the cocktail menu too.
Lovely space and friendly, attentive staff. Probably the best burger that I've had in London, and considering how much competition there is these days, that's saying something. Would definitely return.
Some of the best burgers I've had in a long time (and there are a LOT of burger places in London). The small plates and sides were to die for and the service was absolutely excellent. Such a refreshing surprise on a Friday night in London. Highly recommended and will be back multiple times!
This is a cozy little place that features a nice burger and wonderful sweet potato chips (fries). I enjoyed my visit albeit being a little cramped inside and noisy.
I stumbled into Bobo Social one rainy evening in December and had the Christmas special. I still sometimes dream of that spectacular first bite of stilton-infused meat in a poached pear dressing. The next morning, I took a colleague there for lunch. A week later, I took my cousin and his family. I posted about it on Facebook and a couple of my friends tried it out. This weekend I too my gourmet friends. I've never been disappointed. Every visit has been just as excellent as the first time.
I'd expected a bit more from Bobo Social given I'd seen queues outside this place in the past. It was decent but nothing to write home about. The Bobo cocktail was the highlight for me..... absolutely delicious. Service was good too. I had the lobster burger which was ok, more fishcake like, topped with cold onion rings. There are too many other better burger joints in town for me say I'd recommend this place in particular, but it was ok.
Delicious burgers and good service in a quite noisy room.
Delicious burgers and great service!
