Bocca Di Lupo
We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.

Food is good and good value for money. Nevertheless all the fritti are cooked in the same oil so the boccocini have a bit of the taste of seafood. The ambiance was not very nice. We were seated at the counter which is supposed to be nice to see the kitchen team cooking. But the team was not very welcoming. They never looked at us which I found a little bit rude. Also the counter is very high compared to the stools so it was very inconfortable. The front of house team is very nice and friendly.
Dining experiences was amazing, the food is scrumptious.
Thank you Lisa. We are so thrilled you enjoyed your experience with us. We look forward to having you with us again soon. Best, The Bocca team
Amazing food, ambience and service. Definitely worth a visit
Thank you for the great review Mandem, and thank you for coming to support us so soon after our re-opening. We hope to have you back with us again soon. Best, The Bocca team
Bocca continues to shine in the post-Covid world. Perspex screens around the bar area create the feeling of private booths and still offer unimpeded views into the kitchen, showing you previews of what's in store.
The food is excellent, without standout favourites remaining while the majority of the dishes change with the seasons. Staff are exceptionally helpful in assisting to construct a menu, and will tailor the service to make sure you have time and space to try as many things as you wish.
Wine and cocktails range from reasonably priced to exceptional, and unbiased opinions are available from wait staff and sommeliers.
If you are looking for a place to go for dinner that makes you feel safe, cared for, and will serve you the best on offer, go to Bocca.
The food here is amazing and our server was lovely, this would have been a 5 star review but for us constantly having to fight other waiters trying to clear our table before we had finished our meal. At least three times they attempted to take plates away that we were still working on. I appreciate that there was a time limit but we were well within that and didn't need to constantly have to fight to keep our plates.
All the dishes, first and main, arrived together and had we known we would have asked that they didn’t. My main dish was lukewarm by the time I got to it and it wasn’t a menu where all the dishes could be enjoyed together beyond the excellent fristi misti appetisers. Overall excellent though and especially as they had only recently re-opened after Covid19 lockdown.
Dear Alex, Thank you for your review. We apologise that the dining style wasn't made clear, we will ensure servers communicate this better in future. We are very glad that you enjoyed the overall experience however and hope to have you back with us again soon. Best, The Bocca team
Our first time back since lock down. The wait was worth it and we have been looking forward to this day for ages. One of our favourite restaurants and it didn't disappoint. We always go for smaller dishes so we can have more of them; a great idea as there are so many to choose from. To start, the Olive stuffed with minced pork all were totally delicious.
The wait since our last visit made the whole experience so much better. We are already looking forward to returning to this, one of London's gems.
Thank you so much for your lovely review Stewart. We are so glad that you enjoyed your meal - sounds like you are a pro at navigating the Bocca menu - small plates, but plenty of them is definitely the way to go. (Saves you from suffering from a bad case of food envy). We hope to have you back with us again soon. Best, The Bocca team
Perfection. It s just the most wonderful dining experience and the food is out of this world.
Brilliant service and exquisite food. I’ll definitely be returning again soon
Great restaurant, great food and wine. Amazing service too
My birthday. My first visit. The restaurant has worked hard to provide safe, Covid protection. However I did find the Perspex cubicle for two downstairs quite claustrophobic. The WiFi is also unreliable and I could not access the various menus using the app so had paper ones.
The food is really good, especially the risotto and the ‘fossil’ fish. Good house wine too. Excellent service by warm and friendly staff.
Please work on the WiFi downstairs, otherwise highly recommended!
As a returning customer, our first post Covid visit was just as brilliant as previous visits! The staff are all excellent and clearly enjoy being there, food is very good, authentic and the service great. Ambience is perfect for dinner, staff added a nice subtle birthday dessert to our table upon hearing it was my sisters birthday. Love this place!
The restaurant has put in some covid “measures” such as screens at the counter, temperature checks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing in the toilets. With the glaring exception that NONE of the staff was wearing face covering/masks. In addition, the staff does not do not observe any social distancing and comes way too close into one's personal space in this pandemic: for example, leaning into the plastic screens to speak to you and clean tables, or loudly announcing your food as they hand the plate over... Makes the restaurant’s protective "measures" literally pointless when strangers are breathing directly onto your food.
Food was just ok, the pasta dishes were the better dishes, some of the other dishes were under seasoned. We sat at the bar and observed the head chef yelling at everyone in the kitchen about incoming orders and orders that are behind (also no masks), which is kind of a stressful atmosphere when someone is just constantly yelling next to you during a meal. Just overall very uncomfortable and other restaurants have managed covid much better - I would have preferred to visit another place that took the pandemic seriously.
Thank you for the feedback. We apologise for how you felt and that we did not respect your wishes. Following a review here is a summary of our Covid measures Perspex screens Hand sanitiser throughout Social distancing notices in toilets and at the door Daily record of staff temperatures Regularly sanitise guest/staff touch points Staff wear face coverings Social distance for taking/delivering food/drinks orders Take all guest temperatures. Wonderful Italian food. Pasta’s are delicious. Service is first class.
Very good! Would definitely go again without hesitation
Best restaurant in London, hands down. Part of me doesn’t want to write that so that it’s a secret.
Great vibe fantastic food and wine a great night out!
Very good service, waiter was fantastic. Food was very nice, porcini risotto a little too salty but still worked very well. Cannoli for dessert was delicious. Nice for trying a range of dishes.
We've been coming to Bocca since it first opened and it is so good to see Jacob and the team back. They have thought creatively about how to give guests a safe experience in the current Covid situation and steps are thorough and unobtrusive. A temperature check at the door on arrival and a polite request to use the hadn't sanitiser, screens at the counter which don't impact on the dining experience and use of QR codes to call up the menu on your phone.
The welcome was warm and friendly and, as always, the food, wine and service were outstanding.
Thank you all!
We love this restaurant amongst our favourites in London. Always excellent food and drink with brilliant service. We will return
Fantastic food as always, with service to match. The new socially distanced set up has been done very well and didn’t hurt the experience at all.
I love this place. The food is not fussy, but it is of a very high quality. It is served by people who are warm, welcoming and friendly. I have hosted dinners for dozens, eaten business lunches and even dined alone (on their first day back after lock down) and on every occasion Boca di Lupo has delivered.
Have a small starter and a couple of small plates for lunch, or add another plate or dessert for dinner and you'll have spent about £35.00-£50.00 inc a couple of glasses of excellent wine and service well.
It was the first day of opening since Lockdown but the food and service were excellent as usual. These in which the restaurant had been organised for safe distancing was very good we were at the bar which was cleverly organised and we could still see what the staff were doing. Part of why we go there
Excellent restaurant. It is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to in the UK. Great menu, and very reasonably priced.
Loved Bocco di Lupo had a very warm welcome food was amazing and staff helpful . Bill nighey sitting opposite Only weak area our table was booked for 2.45 and kitchen closed at 3 which we didn’t know felt it was a bit rushed . Certainly recommend the suckling pig
Excellent food with good, friendly service. Really buzzy and we enjoyed being there.
The most perfect restaurant in every way. My favourite place to go.
You’ll have to reserve weeks possibly months in advance, but the summary is it’s worth it. The staff are friendly. Service feels genuine. Mine was a party of six including a nonagenarian wheelchair-bound grandmother. They were considerate. I appreciated it. The selection of dishes we chose was 80% vegetarian. It was tasty. We chose prosecco and primitivo red from southern italy. The desserts were excellent - I had a caffe alla nocciola. Around half the tables were birthday parties. It was about £45 a head. I’m looking forward to the next time.
This is my third time at this fantastic restaurant and I can’t rate it highly enough. Top class food, location and service and I will definitely keep coming back! The best calamari I’ve ever had.
The food is remarkable and delicious, not generic italian at all. Wine was also crisp and refreshing.
Would be good to get a general guidance on portion sizes as it's difficult to understand how much to order.
Also the tables are quite small which makes sharing multiple plates tricky.
Good food with nice service. Nice to have small dish options so we can try many foods and all of them were outstanding.
Food was great and came quickly, server was very knowledgeable about the food. Wine was harder the first bottle was out of stock and the re-ordered one came after food had been served. Overall very good
Fantastic service and food, but portions are small. Also, I newer paid £15.00 for very average taste ice cream anywhere else. Very hard to justify this
Allerbeste italienische Küche..., dazu Top Service
Booked counter seats via the web site close to closing time. But we arrived early and managed to get seats within the restaurant. All aspects of our visit - service, food quality, ambience and price - were very good. Will return.
Great food, great service, everything was really delicious and the price is good value for money.
The food at Bocca di Lupo is very good and truly Italian cuisine! Everything is fresh and the pasta is homemade. I have lived in Italy for 5 years and this is one of the few restaurants in London that will actually serve Italian cuisine and not Bristish-Italian cuisine or American Pizza. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Only thing that could be better is the staff at the entrance.. The woman taking our coats and bringing us to our table was very rude.
Authentic regional Italian dishes served with the friendliness and professionalism that Italians bring to the hospitality industry
This has been a favourite for a while now, the staff are lovely and really down to earth. Stuffed safe leaves with anchovies are divine, the wine is lovely too.
I wish we had visited sooner. One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in London in a long time. If we could have I would have ordered the whole menu, there wasn’t a single dish that didn’t appeal. All of it was tasty and you could tell it was cooked by people who also like to eat good food. Service was excellent too.
