Bocca Di Lupo
We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.
Our Remus Room is a warm and sumptuous setting for any party. It can accommodate twelve to thirty two persons seated, fifty standing, and is always served by its own chef in a dedicated, adjacent kitchen.View Private Dining Details
What Insiders Are Saying
If you want to know where to find the best Italian food in Soho is, it’s at Bocca di Lupo.
Nothing interesting but kinda expensive
Not our first time here but we hadn't been for about 3 years.
We had a lovely welcome and were shown to our table. One of my guests had a coat with her and nowhere to hang it but when she asked the waiter to help he was a bit dismissive and said he was seeing to someone else and would get to her in a minute, leaving her holding her coat.
When he then came to the table, having by now taken the coat, he took drink orders but kept leaning right over me to put menus down, take glasses away etc. I can see why (because the restaurant is quite cramped) but surely this can be done better. I was frequently having to lean out of the way!
I will now stop moaning and get on to the food. It was gorgeous. Everything I remember about Bocca, and so I will still no doubt go back.
Perfect place for pre theatre dinner. I much prefer to sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare the very tasty food. Wine by the glass is expensive but there is a great selection.
Seaonal menu but just as good with every visit . One of the best Italian restaurants in London.
Amazing food, amazing staff. So worth a visit! Every dish was cooked perfectly
We went for a pre-theatre dinner. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was tasty and fresh - the sea bream carpaccio was particularly good.
Was very happy with food and ambience. Was disappointed by the early closing of kitchen given we had made a booking for 10.30pm so felt rushed.
Seating aligns with the theatre schedule so booking is essential. Efficient, polite service. It’s best to go with a medium sized group and share the dishes amongst the table.
Great pre theatre place to meet and eat
Fantastic experience, our waiter was really great, he recommended dishes from the menu, and considering the restaurant was really busy, the food came out quickly.
Food quality is very average. Service scattered and lacks attention to detail. It was my friend’s birthday and i requested for a candle to arrive on the dessert and was told it will be done but then wasn’t. Good potential, poor execution.
Amazing service, delicious and typical Italian cuisine!
Great food experience, would recommend it rather for a fun night out with great food than a romantic dinner. It's fairly loud, but the food is very fresh and we really enjoyed observing how the food was being prepared. Desserts are to die for.
We have been coming her every year for 5 years and it is consistently excellent. Sit at the counter and watch the kitchen ballet.
Best Italian restaurant in London
Very special place, amazing food and wonderful staff.
Meal was great and wine amazing! We sat at the marble bar. The service was exceptional!
The food is fantastic but we had to wait a long time between starter and main, and they forgot 3 dishes.
Never disappoints. Delicious food and friendly helpful service. If I lived in London I would be a regular.
Enjoyed a pleasant lunch but my expectations of the food were very high and the food didn’t meet them.
This must truly be one of the great restaurants of the world.
Loved it - could eat the whole menu! Can't wait to go back.
Delicious pasta, nice wine and refreshing espresso ice cream
Excellent service and wonderful varied menu. Regional specialities are wonderful.
Excellent food, the only slight criticism is that a couple of mains were a little cold.
Great food, great wine, wonderful atmosphere and attentive service. Five stars
We were celebrating our fourth Wedding Anniversary in London on a family trip, so we decided to sneak off for a special dinner. We were met with champagne to celebrate our special day. Once seated, our waiter took the time to highlight the most effective (and delicious) manner to explore the menu. We started with tortellini and orzotto. They were both divine, and the rabbit was cooked perfectly. We then moved on to the "main" course, of lamb shoulder with a sides of spinach and white asparagus salad. The spinach was served cold, which although unexpected, was delightful. The white asparagus salad with cheese and walnuts was light and refreshing. The two sides paired well with the tender lamb shoulder. The sauce that the lamb shoulder was prepared with was comforting.
Unfortunately we were too stuffed for dessert, but our drinks were well made with no skimping on the Hendrick's Gin.
Overall, we had an Anniversary dinnerto remember, not only from spending it in a new city, but with fantastic food!!
My fish was a bit undercooked. Veg were over salty.
My fist visit to Bocca Di Lupo but one of my two guests had been several times before. In fact, the only downside was that there were two items that he had eaten on previous occasions and had been looking forward to having again (including a radish salad) but these were not on the menu on this occasion. We shared starters and had a main each. All of the starters were good but the fish carpaccio was magnificent. I had suckling pig porchetta with a side of spinach; really delicious. We shared a bottle of Primitive Reserva, which was delightful. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Altogether it was a splendid lunch and I am looking forward to returning before too long.
Great restaurant super food friendly professional fun service
Table was cramped but ok
Will come again
Always very good fresh, seasonal Italian food. Helpful waiters as well.
Good god this place just gets better with time. Brilliant hospitality and food. Always going to come back to the Boc.
Great place, we love everything about it, food is always fantastic, staff really helpful, and informative, a definite stop for either lunch or dinner, but don’t forget to book, or you will be disappointed.
From the moment we arrived the team were fantastic. Really attentive and helpful.
The food, as always was incredible.
One dish arrived late and we were given a drink on the house - very kind offer.
It was our anniversary and without asking our waiter arrived with a candle in our dessert.
Such a wonderful experience - thank you
Not Impressed: too loud, too dark and the food is ok, would definitely not classify it as one of the best Italian restaurants in London.
I’ve been to Bocca di Lupo once before and absolutely loved my first experience. Unfortunately the second time around the food was much less impressive and we were moved from the chef’s table spot that we were originally promised. The tortellini were hard. Not sure how they accomplished that. The tomatoes were far from ripe. The only item that peaked my interest was the suckling pig. Almost seems like a completely different restaurant than a year ago. Perhaps this one is trying to be more Asian fusion now instead of Italian? I likely won’t be back.
Screaming chef made for disruptive lunch, only complaint.
We are regulars at Bocca Di Lupo so know where to ask for a seat and what to expect. We love sitting at the bar watching the team of chefs prepare our food and watching them getting food ready for others diners. Sometimes we say "we should have ordered that" but know that there will be a next time. This occasion was an anniversary celebration and we were given a complimentary glass of Champagne, we selected about 8 or 9 small dishes which are perfect for sharing. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked in a wonderful atmosphere; a real culinary treat.
Excellent place just had to season dishes which why it was 4/5 and not 5/5. Definitely will go back.
A favourite restaurant of ours. Food freshly cooked in front of you. Attentive waiting staff and great ambience. What more could you want
