Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo opened Bocca di Lupo in November 2008. The restaurant has since received various awards and accolades for its stripped-down, honest regional Italian cuisine. Despite the buzzy feel and glamourous surroundings, we are a family business, a small and humble trattoria at heart.

We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.

Private Dining

Our Remus Room is a warm and sumptuous setting for any party. It can accommodate twelve to thirty two persons seated, fifty standing, and is always served by its own chef in a dedicated, adjacent kitchen.

Excellent girly lunch with my 9 year old daughter; we sat at the counter which was great for watching the chefs cook. Food was delicious and the wine suggestion spot-on. The service was superb; the blonde haired lady who seated us was extremely kind to my daughter, gave advice about what to order, and packaged up what we couldn't finish to take home. Will be back soon with my husband for more of a date night.

Superb food and customer service. Transferred to a table despite booking online, nice touch and totally unexpected. Certainly one to visit again when staying in London.

Efficient service and delicious food from unusual menu. Starter of prawns squid and lemon slices shared - who would have known lemon slices deep fried would be so tasty. Reasonable price for dish of the day. Convenient location and a pleasure to be somewhere that’s not part of a chain and has high standards.

Good, authentic Italian cooking, 'trattoria' style, which means 'not fine food', which is not necessarily a bad thing. The deep-fried courgette flowers were very nice, as well as the fried calamari and prawns (very fresh) and the roast suckling pig (very tasty). However the roast potatoes that came with the suckling pig were vile (yes, I mean it). They were completely burnt and therefore inedible. As to the restaurant, it is quite outdated, with no vibe. It is also extremely noisy and expensive. £135 for two people. We only had a small starter, a small main and we shared the suckling pig with potatoes. No dessert. Wine: only a carafe of white wine shared by the two of us. I would recommend this restaurant for the food, but I find it too noisy and expensive, so no value for money. The service was average. I also noticed that the restaurant manager was so focused on serving the people sitting in the table next to hours and totally ignored us. We were clearly not as important as them! For all these reasons, I don't think I will visit this restaurant again in the future.

So another wedding anniversary (17yrs) and we celebrated with lunch spent at Bocca with our kids. Looked after by Phil and his lovely team (superb wine choice btw). Gawjuss food, perfectly balanced, cooked and presented. Bocca has such a lovely vibe and the front of house guys, charming as ever. The thing about Bocca is they are always consistantly good and this not only applies to what comes out of the kitchen but the service, friendliness, warmth and genuine ease in which you are welcomed and looked after. Thanks for a wonderful lunch. x

Nice atmosphere, buzzy feel without too much noise. Many delicious sounding choices, and good to know which region of Italy they are from. All the dishes we tried were excellent, blood orange granita a real highlight.

Very good Italian! We’ve been to the best in Tokyo and NY, but Bocca di Lyon is definitely up there with them all, if not better!! Great lively atmosphere and the counter seat by the chef was super fun to watch.

Tables quite close together, if a couple sitting at the bar overlooking the kitchen would have been quite fun.
Burrata, orecchiette and seabream carpaccio particularly tasty.

Amazing as always - great variety from all the provinces of Italy and very fresh food and ingredients. Risotto had too much salt in it, but the rest of the food was fab.

Everything was great but the counter seats were too close together, I was elbowed the whole night by the person next to me and got worse when he had more to drink. Waitress was nice but a bit irritating as she kept coming too often and breaking up conversation. Also, speaking very very loudly in my face to the point it was unpleasant. Other than that food was great and a good value.

Food is great, service was a bit rushed. Downside was that the tables are crammed too close together. Menu offers a great array of options. It is tapas style so you get to try many different dishes.

Great food and a great dining experience especially if seated at the counter. Was initially disappointed that our seats were at the counter, but it turned out to be quite an entertaining view of the open plan kitchen in full flow. Food was delicious, service exceptional - overall a great night. Thoroughly recommended - we will be back.

We ate as widely from the menu as possible, wanting to try as many different dishes as we could. Everything was delicious; some dishes were outright spectacular. And being a wine merchant I was glad and impressed to see the wine list, which is nicely extensive and eclectic (in an Italian sense). Fabulous experience all 'round.

There was some confusion with the booking and we were initially put at the bar despite having booked a table. But when we questioned it, staff were quick to rectify and we got a table for two straight away. The place was great, food terrific and staff attentive. Fun, lively atmosphere and great wine selection. Would definitely go back and recommend.

I like Bocca di Lupo a lot. Service can feel rushed at times and I wish they’d sort this out. Food is generally outstanding and the baccalà, sausage, monkfish and granita all were. My rigatoni was over cooked which was unfortunate.

Wine was great and it’s so well located I’m happy to overlook some mild irritations. The quality of ingredients is hard to overlook.

Bocca Di Lupo is always great. Simple Italian food at it's best. Great to share plates. But we always end up skipping desserts, great thought they are, and simply grabbing a massive tub of Gelato from across the road.

Great food! It’s tapas style really as portions are small (so much better for me!) but so delicious.
I had bruschetta and Trofie with pesto. Each dish has its provenance next to it on the menu so my friend’s lettuce was from Sperlonga. I doubt that is where the actual lettuce came from but he was served what looked like a whole lettuce and it had taste! He was thrilled with what he ate. We drank very nice rose. Service was good-it is very busy pre-theatre so booking is essential. Highly recommended.
