Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo opened Bocca di Lupo in November 2008. The restaurant has since received various awards and accolades for its stripped-down, honest regional Italian cuisine. Despite the buzzy feel and glamourous surroundings, we are a family business, a small and humble trattoria at heart.

We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.

Cosy restaurant with top gourmet food. Everything we ordered was surprisingly better than expected and left us wanting to order seconds... Menu is not huge but as long as it changes every so often keeping it interesting and with the same level of quality, I would be more than happy to return.

It was ok, don’t know what the fuss is all about. They also are not very clear about their policy about sending you to the counter instead of giving you a proper dining table. The food is ok, the pastas were the best of the lot. I tried the salted cod, which was a bit on the wet side and was basically battered fish. The boar ragu was nice as and to pork and pancetta pasta. The chickpea side was tasty but not really wow or anything. Generally ok but I will not make an effort to go back.

Sensational food and atmosphere. Sit at the bar overlooking the kitchen and make sure to order the wild boar pasta. Cannot recommend Bocca Di Lupo highly enough.

Very busy even at 17:30 but that helps the atmosphere - tables close but it all works. Staff very good and able to answer the questions on the menu -- you need to be Italian to understand all of items. Food was very very good, value was about average for the West End of London at £50 p/h without the bar tab.

This is my third time here and it’s been great every time. The only unusual thing is the menu changes a lot! That’s mostly good because there’s so much variety and the food is so good. The only down side is that if you find a dish, it may not last long so enjoy it!

We had a table of 6. At first when I saw the menu I was worried I wasn’t going to like anything. I was so wrong the food was fantastic we all enjoyed it so much.
Will definitely go back again

A very vivid and lively atmosphere during after theater dinner. The food was excuisite with local specilities around Italy so we could have a taste of northern, Roman and southern dishes. Wine selection is good balance of various regions and moderately priced. Swift and attentive service. The only slight hindsight was maybe the numerous large birthday groups. Noise level was quite high and repeating the "happy birthday ceremony" three times in an hour is pretty much.

From the moment we arrived it was a wonderful experience. We were promptly seated and our coats whisked away by the friendly hostess. Our sever Julia was delightful- very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We were restricted on time as we had tickets to the theater. Our family of 4 enjoyed several special artichokes lightly fried, the tortellini special, risotto with black truffle shavings, radish salad and wonderful steamed clams. Everything was perfectly prepared and arrived promptly. We enjoyed a lovely Rose wine and a carafe of red. Sadly we didn’t have time for desert. Highly recommend and will return next time we are in London and will make sure to make time to try desert!

Still the best Italian kitchen in London, and the small dish options let you try a wide variety. We tried the Roman ghetto snacks, duck pappardelle, liver with crisp polenta and unusual sausages with sides of pumpkin and Italian-spinach. Good service even as they became busier. Highly recommended

Nice simple food.
I was expecting a higher level of food quality and menu, considering I was here few years ago and I remembered the food was better. The service however was very nice and friendly which always helps.

Friendly staff, buzzy atmosphere, pappardelle with venison was well received by my son, but my daughter in law's polenta with calves liver was a little overcooked. My husband and I enjoyed polenta with squid/prawns and tortellini, and the tempura sage leaves with anchovy were delicious.

Such a great new discovery! Wonderful fresh pasta, and the suckling pig was incredible, a dish that would have sated Henry VIII himself.

The staff are charming and well trained. The lighting is considered and flattering. We had a delightful and relaxed lunch. And the Cowshed soap and hand cream in the ladies' toilets sealed the deal. I will be back for sure.

Came here post theatre. Recommened. We reserved I advance. The table we were given was for 2 not 3 people. My food was good. My friend ordered sausage... it was burned. Her risotto was over cooked . It had shredded truffle on top that had little taste. My other friend ordered mozzarella balls. They were partially frozen in the middle. We would have ordered another bottle of winery’s the server came back when we were finished . Pricey and not very good🤨
