Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo opened Bocca di Lupo in November 2008. The restaurant has since received various awards and accolades for its stripped-down, honest regional Italian cuisine. Despite the buzzy feel and glamourous surroundings, we are a family business, a small and humble trattoria at heart.

We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.

Excellent food as ever, highlights were sea bream carpaccio, wild boar pappardelle, and tripe - who likes this dish, utterly deliciously made with a slightly spicy tomatoey sauce. Also some nice reasonably priced wine from Sicily (white) and Puglia (red). The only comment was related to sausages which I remember being absolutely fantastic, rich and special few years ago, but this time they did not taste Italian. Blood orange granita very tasty and service was excellent.

I loved the ambience and the friendliness of the staff. My sister and I enjoyed a good catch up at the chef’s counter with a carafe of Soave and some Italian dishes. I definitely want to go back again.

Enjoyed the tapas style but found menu quite restrictive in the sense that there were lots of similar ingredients: octopus/beans/peas. Noise level was too much and that’s the lasting memory we left with. Overall nice time but not 5/5

Fantastic food. Seating is very tight and room is very loud. Only two servers for several tables at lunch. We were seated late, then told we had to order before kitchen closed, then server did not return for 15 mins. Took a little while to hit a comfortable stride with service. But the food was exquisite. Don’t book the last reservation time because you will be hurried and some dishes will have run out.

Have had several great visits to Bocca but was a little disappointed, on arriving 10 minutes early, to be asked to wait in an establishment opposite. Also, felt we were being rushed - we were celebrating my sister in law’s 70th prior to a matinee. Anyway we ordered a second bottle of wine which resolved the rush!

Bocca di Lupo never fails to impress, it's been one of my top 3 London restaurants for years. The food is fresh and delicious, lovely combinations of ingredients that you don't immediately associate with Italian cuisine but are a nice, modern interpretation. Service is always fantastic, plenty of servers keeping an eye on the tables, waiters are friendly and make good recommendations about the amount of food, wine pairing, etc. Expensive but worth it for the quality of both the food and service.

Came here for a lovely birthday lunch on Saturday. The choice of small plates means even as two diners you are able to enjoy trying a few different dishes. The menu is very varied and all the dishes we had were fresh and light. I particularly liked the mushroom tagliatelle. Service was warm and attentive. I am eager to go back and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

This is truly the only place I ever want to eat when I come to London. The staff, management, chefs, and bartenders are all at the top of their game. The food is incredible and even though I am in London once a year, they not only remember me but treat me like a prince. Truly authentic Italian food and great service is hard to find and since this restaurant is as good as being in Italy myself, I tend to eat there almost every night I am in town. (Yes I am going back again this week).

I love Italian food, but I chose this restaurant because they had dishes I'd never had before.
My friends and I loved it. The food was excellent.
The staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The restaurant itself was bright and comfortable, and filled up very quickly
I hope to be back in the not too distant future.

Amazing food and very accommodating seating us with an additional person that was not included in the reservation. Unfortunately, the waiter was extremely unknowledgeable with the menu, especially when dealing with allergies, and did my even attempt to be helpful. In that regard, the service was not great. But the chefs made up for it as we just ended up dealing with them directly. They were fabulous and the food and wine were also superb. The server then just became obsolete so really hoping our tip did not just go to him! Overall though, it was a great night out.

Bocca di Lupo is one of the best Italian restaurants in the UK. The offer of two sizes of portion - small or large plates - makes it easy to explore the menu which draws its inspiration from all over Italy, whilst using some British ingredients not common in Italy such as grouse - filled into delicate pasta parcels and served with sage and butter. The most tender full-flavoured octopus I have ever tasted, beautiful braised rabbit and roasted squash, rich and full-flavoured with balsamic. Precise, inventive cooking that pleases the eye and the palate. The offer of a number of good Italian wines in half litre carafes makes it easy to try both red and white wines to match the food without spending a fortune or getting too inebriated to enjoy the food.

I had been recommended this restaurant and the website made it seem very good so I had high expectations. The place itself feels authentic and the staff were very good but unfortunately I found the food not so great. I found the menu difficult to order from and the food was nothing exceptional and yet the prices are high end. I paid £100 for lunch for 2 with small starters, 2 basic main courses and a bottle of Gavi wine. In my book that requires something special and it wasn’t. Nice but too expensive

Took my elderly Mum for a post-theatre dinner. We sat early - around 5.15pm. Service was helpful, attentive and friendly. Food was exceptionally fresh and original. Great selection of dishes from different regions of Italy. Fritti bites to start. were very tasty and revealing individual flavors. Grouse was such, lent and not overcooked. Fossil fish - bream cooked in salt was tender and delicate. Deserts were light and delicious but not overly sugared so again flavors revealed beautifully. And the white wine we tasted - verdeca from Puglia - was well served and complemented the meal well. Overall an outstanding experience.
