Food was good, if anything big portions for a taster menu. Amazing olive oil and great, friendly Italian staff. Lovely looking restaurant.
However the music really spoiled our experience. We did comment several times but nothing changed. 3hrs of sitting listening to clubbing music...complete with swearing! Made what should have been a good, relaxing night memorable but for the wrong reasons.
The food is excellent and the restaurant is warm and inviting. Bocconcino is quite small, but that contributes to the intimate atmosphere. The food is excellent, and there are some unusual and great dishes such as the artichokes alla Romana. The pizza is a must and the ravioli is amazing. Be careful, however - they add 12.5% service charge, which is fine, but also leave the credit card machine open for another tip, which I thought was quite cheeky.
great place all round - service, food and staff. I suggest what I had for lunch, Caesar salad with prawns and truffle pizza. Both delicious and cooked with good ingredients. Asked a recommendation for a wine to pair and the White they gave did not disappoint. Lovely design which looks very nice,
Outstanding all round spot I recommend to colleagues frequently. The staff are well trained and service is consistent. Food is excellent and presented nicely. I would recommend the pasta with crab - excellent dish with balanced flavours. Great wine list with a variety of Italian and rest of the world options. Prices are aligned with local area and rather competitive considering Mayfair.
Really great Italian - traditional menu what you'd expect to find in Italy - delicious veal milanese very hard to find a better one in London area. Popular dishes on the menu what you's expect to find - linguines, pizza, seabass.... wide choice. Comfortable restaurant with generous seating. Friendly staff
I love this spot for a quiet lunch time treat - beautiful environ with professional and welcoming staff. Extensive and well curated menu - pastas, pizza, fish and meats - the grilled calamari is tasty and fresh - cooked very well with what seems a highly skilled kitchen. Desserts to finish are a must - lemon meringue cake is a firm favourite
Second visit just as good as the first. Great authentic Italian with good menu. Stunning venue with beautiful interiors. Professional and well trained staff. Prices reasonable for London location - highly recommend
Another excellent meal - Bocconcinos is becoming a new usual for us. Every visit is better than the last with a maintained quality of food and service. Consistency is hard to find but this might be a gem. Food is excellent - steak tagliata is perfectly cooked and their wine list only improves with time - great choice and knowledgeable sommelier.
Great all round restaurant. Lovely interiors in a beautiful setting. Welcoming and cozy rooms with friendly staff - highly recommend and would visit again
Great Italian! High quality food and well valued. Enjoyable evening and it is a great spot for casual entertaining. Always leave room for dessert here - profiteroles are the best I've had.
Very enjoyable evening. Comfortable restaurant. Wide choice on the menu - seasonal dishes. Linguine vongole is a favourite and very well done here.
Charming restaurant in the center of Mayfair which a relaxed and comfortable feel. Bocconcino was welcoming and friendly.
The food is well presented and cooked in traditional Italian style - delicious fresh quality ingredients that are well worth the price. The grilled calamari is delicious and I would order this again.
Wonderful selection of Italian and worldy wines
Best all round restaurant - polite and friendly service with very well trained staff who could recommend dishes and wines. Excellent and varied menu with something for everyone to enjoy. I opted for pizza Bocconcino - delicious well cooked pizza. I'll be back for more
The food was fantastic. Service was slow (good luck getting the waiter’s attention for a second glass of wine). There was loud music playing that made it not the most relaxing dinner. But the food was top notch.
While visiting London, we actually ate here twice it was so good. The pastas are fabulous, the drinks were perfect and cold (yay!), and the entrees we had were perfection. One time we had the sea brine served table side - maybe the best fist I’ve ever had. The second time I had the veal - again probably the best I’ve ever had. The first time, the service was outstanding. The second time, it was fair. Still would totally go back again and again.
I was served undercooked pasta, which the waiter explained away because it was “handmade”. I have eaten pasta in restaurants all over Italy and this was not thoroughly cooked. Service was unresponsive. Ambiance was off putting. They played loud “clubbing” music, not appropriate for conversation or any semi-fine dining experience. Don’t waste your money.
Very expensive for small portions.
Great restaurant a stone's throw from Green Park. Warm welcome from the hostess and friendly staff throughout. Real traditional Italian vibes and food to match. Homemade pasta is delicious and well cooked. Portions are generous and filling, well presented dishes. Highly recommend and a new favourite!
Would definitely recommend - The food was excellent (lobster linguine) was delicious.
Waiter was on point and polite. Great service throughout - Price was good considering location. Thank you for such a lovely evening.
Doesn now worth the money. Food is not great and too expensive
Excellent meal! One of the best Italian restaurants I've tried. The scallops starter is delicious with well balanced flavours, as well as the linguine pasta - perfectly cooked and well presented. Wide choice of wines and knowledgeable staff - recommend!
Excellent food and service. We had the tasting menu - highly recommend!
Food is ok, service was so-so, price was very high for the quality and experience.
Lovely restaurant with great food in a pleasant setting.
Food delicious best Italian cuisine ever ate in London. Problem was too pricey. 3 starters, 3 pastas, 1 dessert, 3 soft drinks, 2 bottles of water (£5 each) & 1 espresso £60 pp. in future will only make reservations for special occasions.
The food was good above average, but the noise from the music made it impossible to have a conversation. I expected that when the live music started things would have got better, but it just got louder meant that people were screaming above the music to hold conversations.
The restaurant was very romantic for our special occasion. The very minor issues we faced were.
1. There wasn't a coat rack for our belongings. For such an upscale restaurant we didn't want to worry about our belongings being left out.
2. We had to ask a variety of times for our drinks to be refilled.
Apart from this, the food was delicious and had a perfect balance. We went for the 4-course menu which was more than enough.
The greeting at the front door was wonderful, the restaurant is beautiful and well lit. We had our water delivered promptly. Drinks were wrong (they forgot the vodka in vodka & club), water bottle was empty and I kept putting where thee waiter had to see it but instead of taking the empty bottle, they kept just moving back to where they wanted it to be on the table. We asked for all food to be brought out at once yet we got them brought out whenever they were ready. I had to get up to find the waiter to get another drink. The food however was exceptional.
Very good food and service. Background music was at times a bit loud and did need to turn down a few times. Overall a fantastic experience
Good Italian food but not outstanding and overpriced for what you get. Wine ridiculously expensive. Atmosphere curiously lacking too.
This is a great place if you want to celebrate a special occasion. The food was great and the wine recommendation was very good. I had the lemon and merengue cake which was amazing. The service and ambiance were very good. Basically, although a bit pricey, one pays for the quality.
Good restaurant, only one problem was the chairs were low and tables were wide so felt far away from each other.
Great design, very nice food. Truffle pizza is super good.
This was our fourth visit in the last few years while visiting London on business. The restaurant has never disappointed. It is beautiful and the service is fantastic. Very good selection of Italian wines. Don’t miss the Veal Milanese...OUTSTANDING!
The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and the decor is beautiful. The service was outstanding from the moment I walked in, all the way through until I left. However, I was slightly displeased as the staff immediately started pouring bottled water for myself and my friend, without us ordering for it or being notified of a charge, and had to pay for it later. All in all, a great restaurant.
Visiting from US and celebrating a birthday. Service is top shelf - friendly, knowledgeable, warm and incredibly professional - they all work as a team. Food is fantastic - well done starters - minestrone and the eggplant- veal and lamb chops were outstanding and pizzas will make any kid (or adult) happy. Might be a bit loud and wine is, as others indicated, a little more pricey. But there were tourists, regulars, families (very good with smaller kids) all getting along cross tables.
I was seriously and pleasantly surprised. Worth the visit - recommend you try too.
Taglitelle with truffle is a must try!
The food was wonderful excellent ravioli. The restaurant was really comfortable and not very noisy a great meal for a reasonable price in London.
