The food was good but the chefs special for the day was rather pricey at £55 for a pasta, which was
To be recommended!
The experience was good. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Wine a bit expensive by the glass
Overpriced and overcharged. Check your bill at the end of meal.
Great night good food and service will go again as it ticked all the boxes
Nice place and good food . I recommend you to go now
I booked for lunch but wasn't offered the lunch menu. As I had a guest I couldn't question this and the meal came to nearly £100. We just had a small pasta dish each, one dessert, one coffee and a bottle of sparkling water.
It could have been worse as we were initially given another table's (of two) bill which was over £200!
Some more vegetarian dishes & deserts needed.
The garlic bread is missing
Absolutely brilliant restaurant, waiting staff where exceptional and the ambiance was fantastic
Food is ok (octopus as main delicious; starter plain); music too loud and not in balance with atmosphere of high-end they want to evoke
Our expectations were exceeded
A complete evening with service, environment and food on top level.
We will be back next time in London!
Unfortunately we didn’t really like the service at this place-tude, intruding waiters spoiled everything
Pizza was slightly undercooked however tasted brilliantly.
Over the years Bocconcino has become my family's favourite restaurant in London. It has an excellent wine list and a hearty menu to go along with it's welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait for my next visit!
We were in London and randomly chose this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise. The entrance and spiral staircase down to the main dinning area was very cool. We shared the Bocconcino pizza and the whole fish for two. Both were spectacular especially when paired with a Tuscan white wine suggested by our waiter. We will definitely repeat the best time in London.
Staff not that friendly and food is average
First time for us and overall good customers service with fantastic food although would habe like more vegetarian food.... but overall very accommodating.
I will definitely return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Great service ...delicious food...and a lovely peaceful atmosphere.
The fish was fresh and well cooked, the Pizza has to be tasted! Just the best pizza I have eaten.
The staff could have been a Little friendlier, felt there was a bit of tension in the air!
Great meal! Food was incredible and staff made it a pleasant experience!
The food was greasy and not tasty. The restaurant was smelly (kitchen smell all over the place). And the AC maybe not working as it was hot and the air stagnant. I did not enjoy it at all and quite disappointed especially for it being a Mayfair place. I will not go again
The highlight of Bocconcino was the food. The burrata starter and sea bass in the main course was very fresh and cooked to perfection. We did enjoy the drinks as well from an extensive wine and cocktail list. The dessert was a bit of a let-down as was our odd seating position under the stairs. However, the positives of this place far outweighed the small little niggles - do recommend particularly arriving a bit later in the evening as the pace picks up.
The food was average and the portion sizes were not consistent across our party ('Filetto di branzino in crosta di patate e pomodoro' was tiny but the 'Pollo alla Milanese con Pomodori e Insalata di Rucola' was huge). Average experience all around and not what you would expect of a Mayfair restaurant.
Lobster linguini is great. Red wines good too. Shame they did not have semi-skimmed milk available for coffee.
Very bad service and the service very bad I feel upset
We ventured forth to a new restaurant for us and were not disappointed! A very warm welcome was the introduction to an evening where the staff were very helpful, polite and most attentive without being obtrusive. The food was well prepared but portions could certainly be larger! Rather unimaginative to serve the chicken Milanese without a sauce and just accompanying it with the rather ubiquitous rocket... My sea bass in a filo pastry was excellent and completed by the addition of seafood. Let us hope that they will continue to change their special value menus and respond with larger and more imaginative dishes.
I came here to celebrate my birthday with friends and wasn’t disappointed. The food menu was delicious (try the truffle pizza!) and the wine also was the same. Will visit again for sure! Thanks for a great time Bocconcino x
A great venue for an early evening meal especially with their 2 or 3 course offers. Wine is v pricey though so we stuck to beer instead
Rather overpriced for the quality of food served. Slow bar service before dinner. One can eat much better Italian food for a better price. It is Mayfair though so bound to cost.
I had a great experience there with my girlfriend on her birthday. The service was great and the food too. The location was very convenient, 4 minuets away from green park station. We’ll be visiting again soon.
The fresh pasta
Great service, decent authentic food, but highly overpriced.
This was an unexpected find - the food is very tasty, the service very attentive but discreet. The value is as expected for high end Italian. Great for business lunch or would expect it also a good place for dinner date. Highly recommended
Service was great from the reception to the table and back again with great food and drinks in between! Thanks
Really lovely restaurant, food was excellent, but we found the wine list very expensive for every day wine
Great find in Mayfair! Food was incredible. We really enjoyed the pasta and the pizza. Great upscale location.
Nothing special for the price you pay, poor recommendations by the waitors!
We were recommended to dine here with good reason by our concierge. The welcome you get is so warm, and the staff are all very attentive. Our orders were taken swiftly, and the sommeliere was helpful without being pushy to navigate their extensive wine list.
The food stole the show and was some of the best Italian I've found in London; we shared a selection of starters followed by the most succulent lamb dish and octopus to match. Well fed and extremely satisfied
I was really excited to visit this place.
Unfortunately my expectations were surpassed.
-the hostess on the door was really unfriendly
-air conditioning and music was off
-I was waiting 20min to be able to order something as the Kitchen was closed.
-During the waiting time I was ordering the drinks but unfortunately bartender was on break and I couldn’t do it
The whole experience was really disappointed.
