We had an amazing meal..my friend is vegan and dietary restrictions and the staff were lovely and helped us pick the right dishes from the menu.
The food was very good, but the service was poor. We book a table for 4 person. We recive 1st the beer for my father and then, after the starter were at the table, we recived the rest of our drink order (wines and water).
The pizza was cold and arrived when the rest of the table had already almost finished the main courses.
It was a good experience, and there is two seating on the lower ground and same entrance floor, but the table was close to each other and it made your feel uncomfortable
No covid precautions at all. Food very average but prices very expensive.
A very nice atmosphere in the restaurant however I felt the food was average at best and very overpriced.
Birthday lunch for my wife with old friends.
Great food, great company and great atmosphere.
Brilliant all round. Would highly recommend. Everything worth while don’t think my glass was ever 1mm without Prosecco in and that certainly wasn’t for the lack of drinking
The tiramisu was delicious.
There are several Italians in London but this one is really good.
Average food, highly overpriced, poor ambiance / vibe - way too noisy for dinner spot. Service was poor and things were missing from the menu.
food was excellent, service friendly and outstanding
the only item that took a bit away was the music. its was a bit loud for dinner a the 80s disco music a bit much for a place tagged as romantic :)
aside from that I highly recommend!
Great food as always but super slow service. Lack of waiting staff showed but the team that were there did the best they could.
Bit noisy also the table was not level I did mention this to the attention of staff but they did not resolve
Was a birthday meal after a theatre visit
slick and friendly staff - with high skills. Excellent food and wine. Far too much noise from downstairs and impossible to talk
Food was great and originally had a lovely vibe, I was able to speak to my friend. The music then became incredibly loud with the live DJ which would usually be great but I literally could not hear my friend talk and we could not have a proper conversation.
Service wasn’t great as there seemed to be only one person serving to begin with. It was only later where the restaurant became busier that more waiters started appearing. Each time we needed something we had to wait for a while, though the food did arrive quickly.
Over priced wasn’t worth the money, food wasn’t that great. Although atmosphere was okay and service was excellent. Dj was very good give him a raise! Okay night but wouldn’t come back again.
Food was good but music so loud we couldn’t hear each other
Fabulous evening. Great food, great service. Wine list a bit pricey!! But highly recommend a pre dinner drink at the bar. Fabulous bartender.
The food was extremely good, service was horrible
My tuna steak came super over done and hard instead of medium. When they brought the new one it has a massive hair inside.
In busy days service can be quite poor. but food is good and loved the ambiance
Me and my other half visited for my birthday, the ambience and the service was wonderful, the waiters were lovely and gave great recommendations about the food and the wines. The food was good but perhaps a little overpriced.
Food was great but service was absolutely appalling. I get really uncomfortable there as the staff were just awful, there was a really bad atmosphere amongst them. We regularly get better service in chain restaurants that are a hell of a lot cheaper to eat in, which really shocked me. We are also the most easy going of people too, but this was just unacceptable. They need to send all their staff on a customer service course ASAP. In fact send them all to Hotel Cafe Royal and ask them to train them. Their staff are bloody amazing. Polite, attentive, friendly, helpful and caring, and most of all make you feel welcome!
Fantastic staff and lovely meal
If you want an experience then definitely go here, stunning and romantic Bocconcino is definitely a go-to. Although the food is quite tasty and portions are very large they do need to work on the service as you might find yourself to multiple different servers, would be much better if an individual server was set to each table to create a relationship between consumer and business as they are all quite friendly just bit troublesome waiting around looking for someone to talk to. Other than definitely 5/5 as it allowed an experience of a nice meal with the right atmosphere for most occasions.
Great personal! Amazing food and wine!
Business dinner in a very upscale neighborhood. Bocconcino met all expectations from their wine list to exceptional food and service.
The food was delicious and I will be coming back for sure!
We had a great table at the far end of the ground floor.
The service was charming and polite. The first course beetroot salad sounds quite ordinary but was amazing.
The rest of the food was also fantastic. I chose one of - if not the - most affordable wines on the menu at £60 and it was delicious.
The bill was enormous at £280 but I would definitely go back as much as possible!!
Service was very poor.
Food was great
Ambience was great
Service unprofessional to say the least
1- an accident occurred by the table ( a bottle of water from the fridge went on the floor and broken) apologies only after my wife showed concern for the waitress if she didn’t injured herself.
2- consistently swearing in italian - I’m italian myself therefore I could understand - by the nearby station.
3-wrong pasta delivered for my 4 yo who had to wait 5 more minutes after our starters were on the table
4- dirty wine glasses removed from the table only after overheard our comments and the waitress put it back in the cupboard
5- sommelier tasted our wine far from our table without asking permission which I wouldn’t have any problem to give
6- my wife asked to try the wine and afterwards I have been served first
7-the same waitress mentioned twice above spent most of the time lying on a wall in the restaurant watching with no action
8- ordered fish cooked in salt crust, no veg side offered when ordered and surprisingly it arrived plain. The waiter that portioned it at the table made a semi disaster with a good part of the fish not served and the rest dump on the plates
8- 2 chefs de rang and 4 demi plus a bunch of runners and a sommelier? To serve about 15 tables?
9- only seen the chef de rang when he took our order.
The presence of a professional in charge is warmly recommended.
I booked this by accident. I had meant to book IT on Dover Street, but we made the best of it. Its very noisy in there so that doesn't fit already with the price point. The food was very good and portion sizes were excellent, I picked the most adventurous of the items on the menu but a lot of it is very predictable and not very exciting. The toilets are a bit poor, no paper in the one I went to and I think at this price point there needs to be cotton towels nice soap, an orchid or something, they're basic. Wines are amazing and a huge variety and the server (a man who seemed quite senior) was very knowledgeable about them. At £300 for 2 courses 2 people and no sign of the set menu we had actually booked it was a bit steep for the experience I feel. To sum up its a bit like an upmarket prezzo. I don't think I would return but hey I am just one person's opinion.
Very average food at inflated prices.
Service was ok but charmless compared to other good Italian restaurants in London
I also found the menu uninspiring.
I did not think you could go wrong at a top Italian in London
This place clearly doesn’t get it in terms of a charming Italian restaurant serving fabulous food
We sat at the table and they forgot about us, we waited for a long while and kept on trying to get host/waiters attention.
Eventually someone came to us but said, they couldn’t take the orders and will find the manager. Then we waited some more and the manager eventually came.
Food was served quickly but one of the dishes was wrong and had to be taken back.
They placed olive oil on our table and forgot the bread/pastry to go with it… they didn’t serve it to us and eventually the host just removed it from the table.
Whilst serving food, when the runner bought it from the back to the door and passed it on to the waiter. It’s as if waiters were unaware of table arrangements or which table had ordered the food. They would speak for at least a minute or more over the food, which is very unhygienic.
The food was okay but the whole service was disappointing and unorganised. I had high hopes.
Excellent restaurant tucked away in Mayfair. Food was incredible, service was prompt & the ambience was fantastic.
It was ok, been but won't be going back. Better restaurants for same price nearby
Placed on the worst seats in the restaurant facing 3 walls almost felt like being in a prison. Pizza was cold and was like eating cardboard very disappointed possibly the worst restaurant I have been to in Mayfair. Do not recommend and will not return
Excellent food and atmosphere. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the product.
The food was amazing! The service and atmosphere were perfect also.
Very friendly and the food was amazing
