Bohemia - Brighton
Another lovely visit to our favourite place in Brighton! To start, a fab cocktail, hard to decide on mains from a varied menu, had steak, great decision! Finished up with Smokin’ Tiramisu, 😋!! Lovely staff and great ambiance! Look forward to next visit!
Food was really nice and not too much on the plate, cocktails were amaaazing and out waitress was really attentive and recommended what drinks to try and asked what we liked. Can't wait to go back
Service was exemplary as was the food and drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bohemia and would return again and recommend.
Had a great time, service was great as was the food. Didn’t feel rushed and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.
Very friendly service and great food
Bohemia is one of the loveliest places ive ever been to, the staff are amazing and the food was beautiful amd the cocktails were out of this world
From the mismatched salvaged-from-a-skip ‘quirky’ decor, to the cringe-inducing electro-swing soundtrack, the whole experience was not what I was hoping for. The menu doesn’t know what it’s trying to achieve, the food was super greasy, and the whole restaurant seems like it was dreamt up by some moustached guy in a velvet suit and top hat at a festival. Avoid!
Me and my partner went to Bohemia for an anniversary meal (we had a short break in Brighton) i had my table originally booked for 7.30 but amended to 8pm which was absolutely fine. Missed a call, phoned back the number when I realised and see it was a Brighton area code and it was regarding my table informing us the kitchen closes at 8pm but we are the last booking but it will not effect our meal we can still order, just not to be late. Perfect. That’s fine. We arrived earlier just to be a bit more helpful, roughly about 7.40 to then be told that they didn’t have a lot of options left on the menu and as a vegetarian I was restricted to what I could eat as it was. I was told there was only one veggie option left, which is something I knew I wouldn’t enjoy. I was rather rudely told by the waitress ‘well we did try to call you’... to which I did inform her I did call back and it was actually only to do with confirming my booking, no mention of the fact you didn’t have a lot of options left on your menu otherwise we would have cancelled all together.
So, we left. Had to hunt for another restaurant that wasn’t fully booked and also not so casual that we felt a bit overdressed for the occasion. I didn’t fancy an anniversary meal in a Wagamamas. It’s a shame because the place looked very nice and I had seen good reviews. I won’t be attempting to visit again.
Me and my partner had an amazing time at this restaurant the cocktails were amazing as was the food will definitely return again !!
5 star everything. Best fish and chips I’ve had for years. Great staff and fantastic value for quality of food. Compliments to all
Lovely gem in the Lanes. Pre theatre lunch. Warm, cosy, quirky and the food was delicious. LIve the home made chips 👌
Came in for a pre-gig bite to eat. Lively but not too much noise (early evening). Food good & service. Just what we needed.
Fabulous food with creative decor.. service was very good!
We had breakfast on Saturday which was simply gorgeous! Lovely warm staff and chic surroundings. Loved it! Took friends back for Sunday roast and Oh! Staff absolutely wonderful and lovely setting but the food was BLAND! Tasted like it had been sat for ages and reheated. SO disappointed, otherwise we really wanted to give Bohemia Five Stars!
Great evening topped of with amazing food/cocktails along with outstanding service!
Really good service and amazing cocktails which looked so cool! A little expensive but worth it! Also the Magician was a bonus and very entertaining thank you for a great night! Next time I visit i will be eating as the food looked amazing and smelt delicious.
Great place to eat, enjoy the music and have a dance!
We had a lovely girls lunch here on Friday and the food was fabulous. Well worth a visit.
The cocktails are also great along with the lovely friendly, very personable staff.
Will definitely be returning on my next trip to Brighton
Food and service was good and although we were 15 minutes late for the table booking, we were accommodated quickly. Only downside is the tables in the doorway (inside) do get the smoke effects from the tables outside.
Lovely breakfast excellent value, gluten free bread available too. great start to a day shopping
Very welcoming, good menu, nice atmosphere.
Would go again.
Excellent Service friendly staff
The food is delicious and that’s why we always book when we visit Brighton
Good value for money in a nice environment
Terrible customer service - so disappointing.
I booked the roof terrace, I turned up and asked about my booking and was told the roof terrace was shut. I said in response, 'oh no I booked it why was I not told?' and had the worst response from a member of staff. The lady stated 'Well I don't know what you want me to do about it, it's raining so you'd be sat on wet chairs anyway.' So I then asked if we could sit outside the front and her response was 'I guess so'. I was shocked at the service, so we left. I was with my university friends for a meet up we do every year, and many had travelled from all over the UK to come to Brighton, so it was very embarrassing. I've never been to Bohemia before, but I won't be going again.
This was a fantastic place and we were welcomed by a lovely lady (didn't catch her name) and Jess who looked after us really well. We had a birthday cake that they took until we required it, food was exquisite and great value for money. The lady was so bubbly and making us feel happy to stay for as long as we want. Highly reccomend!
It was a lovely experience. Delicious food and the staff were super friendly and provided great service.
Waitress was rude and sarcastic. I’d booked an outside table sat us inside and when I questioned was annoyed and said “sit where you want” menu was very limited and out of a handful of mains 2 were off. I had burger and chips. Bun was massive, meat was ok. Chips nice. My friend ordered fish and chips. Hardly any fish loads of batter. I ordered a peroni, it was delivered totally cloudy, I questioned it and was begrudgingly replaced. No apology just told they’d changed the barrel recently. My mate had a glass of lukewarm rose in a dirty glass. Had to ask for tap water. Very disappointed as last time I ate there was nice. Won’t be back
The food was lovely and the drinks excellent. A bit pricey though but that wasn’t a problem as such.
More of a club than a restaurant..... we likely left a bit to early. Food was OK... nothing great.
Nice decor and ambience.very good service. Food ok
Everything was great. Our waiter was outstanding. Polite, helpful and friendly. Food excellent. Love it here
Birthday drinks and food here was lovely - we shared the mixed cheese and meat board and had Camembert. The cocktails are really cool too.
Catch up Sunday Roast with the family
Excellent Cocktails & good Roast
As soon as I walked in I was made to feel welcome. Both Dexter and the young woman who served the food were friendly and helpful. Please thank them for me. They were attentive but not pushy and when my friend arrived they allowed ample time for us to check the menu and choose our meals.
The food was tasty and well presented. The Belinis were delicious.
Unfortunately we had to leave before the jazz started as my friend was feeling poorly with a bad cough but we will definitely be booking again soon.
`a very enjoyable evening.
Staff were so attentive and good fun..
Food was amazing
Cocktails were delish .... try the espresso martini... very creative with dry ice!!!
Highly recommended ... the atmosphere was so lovely... great music.. we will be returning!!!
Such a lovely place for our date night in Brighton. Great that they had some vegan options. Food tasted really good.
Came here for my partners birthday on Valentine’s Day and the service was absolutely amazing and the food was gorgeous, will definitely be returning when we go back to Brighton in June!
Great pub/restaurant in the Lanes. Probably the best fish & chips I have had in years. Staff really welcoming and service was excellent.
We visit Bohemia whenever we are in Brighton and have always been pleased with the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. Sadly when we visited on the 20th Dec 2018 for an evening meal with friends the main courses were not that good. Two of us ordered lamb shank which was chewy rather than tender and falling off the bone. I'm sure this was just unfortunate one off as the food has always been good on previous visits.
We like Bohemia for the atmosphere(quiet and cosy on the nights we went)
I had lunch with an old friend. The food was straightforward, but very good and very reasonably priced. The service couldn't be faulted; the staff were attentive and accommodating, without being intrusive, and handled dietary requirements without any difficulty. The restaurant itself was comfortable and unpretentious, but quietly efficient. The wine list offered a wide choice of well-selected wines. This is a good restaurant, where you can reliably eat well and in comfort, without having to worry about cost. It was my first visit, but it won't be my last.
