Outstanding! My second visit albeit this time for lunch rather than dinner. It was amazing, I was taken aback by the quality service and professionally served food that is usually reserved only for dinner service. The front of House team deserve much praise and of course the culinary team excel at every opportunity. By far my go to spot for perfection in my opinion, and as a local resident and hospitality professional it’s great to have this place so close. Thank you once again.
The food is excellent!
Was not a good experience, food not exciting but expensive, tables too close, had to listen to a bore at the table beside us all night going on and on not what we wanted to listen to.
One of the worst dinning experiences we have had could not wait to leave.
Unbelievable food and service as usual A real treat, hurry up and give them another star!
absolute perfect meal , staff very attentive , would highly recommend the overall experience and in particular the tasting menu
Wasn’t impressed with the evening. I appreciate that we had a gift certificate for a taster menu for two, however it felt like we received poorer treatment than the other diners there that evening.
We were sat next to the doorway (which meant it was drafty with multiple people regularly passing behind my chair), and waited almost an hour until our first course arrived - I had to flag someone down just to ask for a glass of wine.
After enquiring about dietary requirements (my partner is lactose intolerant), we weren’t provided with a concrete response as to which dishes had dairy and which didn’t - effectively a shrug of the shoulders from one of the staff. This meant I had to run home to pick up additional medication for my partner whilst she waited there.
The staff informed my partner that because I’d left the table, we had “fallen down the serving priority, which meant we would be served after another party that arrived after we did”, and that service on our table had been suspended.
When I returned 10 minutes later, we almost had our first course taken away because we hadn’t received our bread yet - I had to almost barter with the waiting staff to leave our food there, as we were starving.
When the food did arrive, it wasn’t particularly to either of our tastes, however this could be attributed to subjectivity and that the events before had put a bit of a downer on the evening.
Finally, even though we’d shelled out £50 for wine (1 bottle and two additional glasses), we were stung with another £25 for service charge, seemingly added to our bill without our consent.
For a table of two people and this not to be left to our discretion, we left with a sour taste in our mouths - our evening of complimentary dining had still cost us an additional £80 and we still felt we hadn’t gotten our money’s worth.
We shan’t be returning to dine here again.
Amazing experience, lovely staff, very professional but also relaxed. Great for a treat.
Excellent food and service. A great way to spoil yourself.
Amazing food! Fabulous service from knowledgeable staff who also have great rapport with the customer! Maitre D was fantastic! Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable!!
This was our first experience of Bohemia. The portions were small, but delicious and filling. We also loved the chef’s appetisers, warm bread rolls in the bag, how the butter was presented and the chocolates with the coffee presented on coffee beans. All lovely touches. The staff were great, apart from one girl who served my partner cheese and who we both found very patronising when he was selecting cheeses (because he doesn’t like soft cheeses) and who on returning to collect our plates stared at his plate then him and tutted under her breath, we can only think because he hadn’t finished all the cheeses? The variety of plates and dishes used to serve each course were exquisite and we liked the way the sauces were poured on our food in front of us. We really enjoyed our lunch, along with a tasty bottle of Chablis, however our service rating would be higher if it wasn’t for this one girl as the rest of the staff were great.
This was our first visit to Bohemia, and it proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable occasion. The bar staff were very friendly (and knowledgeable). My wife has a nut allergy (incl coconut) and this proved to be absolutely no problem at all. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The quality and creativity of the cuisine was first class.
We will definitely be back again.
Ambience nothing special. Good food though super over-priced.
I am going to review this place based on the ONLY price menu options they had: £89, £79 and nothing below £69 per person excluding drinks.
We were early, so we were greeted to a bar-like establishment (not a problem with this), with loud music (problem) and really nothing special. We noticed there was a small restaurant to the right which is where we would sit down.
Clumsily I spilled a drink on myself and when I asked the waiter/bar tender for some tissue to clean myself up, he seemed SERIOUSLY more concerned that alcohol had been spilled over the table than my person.
We were then led to this really hot area (the restaurant) where we were presented with a number of little plates (or tasters as they called them). The food was actually interesting and some plates were very nice. The problem here was the 'enthusiasm' shown by the male staff. You could tell they were in no way 'there'. A few vacant smiles later we were finally ready to leave and I was debating whether we should leave the already added 10% tip. It was a hard choice, but I was already tired and could not take it on the good waitresses, so I decided to leave the tip.
Not sure I will ever go back to this establishment I am sad to say.
A lovely special occasion experience, Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere.
Not easy to find but well worth the effort. The venue is far better than the exterior would suggest. My wife and I opted for the lunch of the day which could only be described as outstanding, my fish dish was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a few!
Excellent value with great service, I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone. We shall be back on our next visit to jersey
Very well presented food and fast service. Wonderfully designed interior with lovely lighting.
We had booked the surprise menu, but it was booked a while ago so didn't remember. On the evening I was given a menu that didn't include the surprise menu (maybe that's the suprise!), we had the tasting menu (at £30 more per head). The food was fab. Service great so no complaints, although I think the surprise menu looked better value (couple next to us had the surprise menu).
Staff were welcoming and cheerful. The kitchen took into account that my friend couldn’t eat onions! Had the 5 course surprise dinner - enjoyed each course very much
My vegetarian partner and I each had different tasting menus with matched wines. They were both creative and delicious in their different ways. The wines were well paired and fully described by the sommelier. Service was excellent. This was the high spot of our visit to Jersey and certainly lived up to its reputation.
We had a fabulous evening at Bohemia. We had the Prestige menu which was very varied, tasty and interesting. We did have a slight issue with one of the courses - the beef, but the staff could not have done more to address the issue. They went over and above our expectation. They were fantastic. Overall a brilliant experience.
In our experience. quite the most inventive and delicious food on the Island
From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. I really enjoyed the cocktail that was recommended and the food was amazing.
An outstanding experience from start to finish. The service, food and ambiance were superb.
We had the classic menu as the choices were just what we wanted. The crab tart is not actually a tart but the white crab meat on a thin disc of pastry with the brown crab meat in a sort of custard with Japanese influence. It was much lighter than a tart and was lovely. It was great to have both Jersey crab and Jersey scallop on the menu.
Every dish was outstanding but special mention goes to the pork amuse bouche served on hay, the veal textures and the cheese trolley which is almost as good as the famous cheese trolley from the Square in Mayfair (in Phil Howard days).
The price was not expensive for the quality of the whole which was closer to a 2 Michelin Star experience than just 1.
We must come back.
Food was excellent, deserving of a Michelin star. Interesting and creative dishes with new flavours. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Most enjoyable evening. Food outstanding and service near perfect.
One of my daughter’s is a Coeliac and there is no problem whatsoever at Bohemia. The food is excellent as is the service. Attention to detail is amazing. A wonderful restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
I didn’t think people ate like that anymore .
Very fussy plate art, they need to get modern.
Too many serving staff.
Great food, great service - excellent value three course lunch menu. Particular highlights were the bantam egg starter, rhubarb and champagne dessert and additional cheese course. Extensive wine list with wines from £29. Loved it!
Wide variety of menus, attentive service, excellent value.
Excellent value Saturday lunch. Beautifully presented with interesting flavour combinations.
Lovely food but dining room open plan off a noisy bar with loud music.
Simply superb food, service in fact the whole thing was really excellent
A wonderful dining experience, it was my sons birthday and his favourite was the fresh bread rolls in the sack. He tried new flavours and food and was impressed. The atmosphere has a good vibe and the service is impeccable!
2 of my guests were vegetarian and their food was very basic and very overpriced for what they received.
No faulting the quality but the imagination was lacking and very repetitive. 2 egg courses one of which was raw and a course of onion only was very disappointing.
Fabulous meal! The staff were knowledgeable & friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening! Thank you so much X
Fabulous 6 course taster menu. Delicious food & lovely ambiance, well deserved Michelin stars restaurant. The staff were very helpful too, thank you!
This is by far my best high end restaurant in Jersey with great food and fabulous service
Excellent and highly creative food. Excellent service. One of my favourite meals.
Amazing meal from start to finish. Beautifully presented food that was equally delicious. Fantastic service. Well worth the splurge!
Great experience of a Michelin Starred restaurant one did not have to wait weeks to secure a table at.
