We had booked the surprise menu, but it was booked a while ago so didn't remember. On the evening I was given a menu that didn't include the surprise menu (maybe that's the suprise!), we had the tasting menu (at £30 more per head). The food was fab. Service great so no complaints, although I think the surprise menu looked better value (couple next to us had the surprise menu).
Staff were welcoming and cheerful. The kitchen took into account that my friend couldn’t eat onions! Had the 5 course surprise dinner - enjoyed each course very much
My vegetarian partner and I each had different tasting menus with matched wines. They were both creative and delicious in their different ways. The wines were well paired and fully described by the sommelier. Service was excellent. This was the high spot of our visit to Jersey and certainly lived up to its reputation.
We had a fabulous evening at Bohemia. We had the Prestige menu which was very varied, tasty and interesting. We did have a slight issue with one of the courses - the beef, but the staff could not have done more to address the issue. They went over and above our expectation. They were fantastic. Overall a brilliant experience.
In our experience. quite the most inventive and delicious food on the Island
From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. I really enjoyed the cocktail that was recommended and the food was amazing.
An outstanding experience from start to finish. The service, food and ambiance were superb.
We had the classic menu as the choices were just what we wanted. The crab tart is not actually a tart but the white crab meat on a thin disc of pastry with the brown crab meat in a sort of custard with Japanese influence. It was much lighter than a tart and was lovely. It was great to have both Jersey crab and Jersey scallop on the menu.
Every dish was outstanding but special mention goes to the pork amuse bouche served on hay, the veal textures and the cheese trolley which is almost as good as the famous cheese trolley from the Square in Mayfair (in Phil Howard days).
The price was not expensive for the quality of the whole which was closer to a 2 Michelin Star experience than just 1.
We must come back.
Food was excellent, deserving of a Michelin star. Interesting and creative dishes with new flavours. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Most enjoyable evening. Food outstanding and service near perfect.
One of my daughter’s is a Coeliac and there is no problem whatsoever at Bohemia. The food is excellent as is the service. Attention to detail is amazing. A wonderful restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
I didn’t think people ate like that anymore .
Very fussy plate art, they need to get modern.
Too many serving staff.
Great food, great service - excellent value three course lunch menu. Particular highlights were the bantam egg starter, rhubarb and champagne dessert and additional cheese course. Extensive wine list with wines from £29. Loved it!
Wide variety of menus, attentive service, excellent value.
Excellent value Saturday lunch. Beautifully presented with interesting flavour combinations.
Lovely food but dining room open plan off a noisy bar with loud music.
Simply superb food, service in fact the whole thing was really excellent
A wonderful dining experience, it was my sons birthday and his favourite was the fresh bread rolls in the sack. He tried new flavours and food and was impressed. The atmosphere has a good vibe and the service is impeccable!
2 of my guests were vegetarian and their food was very basic and very overpriced for what they received.
No faulting the quality but the imagination was lacking and very repetitive. 2 egg courses one of which was raw and a course of onion only was very disappointing.
Fabulous meal! The staff were knowledgeable & friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening! Thank you so much X
Fabulous 6 course taster menu. Delicious food & lovely ambiance, well deserved Michelin stars restaurant. The staff were very helpful too, thank you!
This is by far my best high end restaurant in Jersey with great food and fabulous service
Excellent and highly creative food. Excellent service. One of my favourite meals.
Amazing meal from start to finish. Beautifully presented food that was equally delicious. Fantastic service. Well worth the splurge!
Great experience of a Michelin Starred restaurant one did not have to wait weeks to secure a table at.
As usual an excellent meal, good friendly service with high quality food beautifully prepared and presented. We just had the set Sat lunch at £24.50, but the same care goes into its preperstion and serving as you get with the full dinner experience. One of the best places to eat in Jersey.
Superb meal thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. House Malbec was excellent
Wonderful Prestige Tasting Menu, every course beautifully presented and delicious.
We chose the surprise menu with 6 courses, amazing different elements to every course.
Great value at £45.00 at lunchtime.
The service by Daniel the Maitre D was impeccable and made for a fantastic pre Christmas lunch with my wife.
This was one of the top ten dining experiences of my life. Creative and inspiring cuisine enhanced by perfect service, wines and surroundings.
An excellent meal which made our occasion special. The surprise tasting menu delicious with highlights of mushroom ice cream, oyster and pickle, smoke eel and scallop with truffle, already booked our next visit.
waiters attentive and knowledgible but due to strong accents we felt they described each dish to fast a pace and in to much of a wisper as there was some noise from bar area. areal special meal expeiriance.
This is easily the best restaurant in Jersey. Dishes are beautifully presented and the menu regularly changes. Value is amazing compared to UK Michelin star restaurants. I’ve been here quite a few times now and it is consistently excellent. Well worth a lunch visit for best value or go all out on the tasting in the evening and you won’t be disappointed.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was outstanding as were the restaurant staff. Whilst appreciating it was Christmas period what really spoilt if for us was the noise from the bar which impacted greatly on the restaurant ambience in our view. Unfortunately there was loud group opposite the entrance to the restaurant and there F'ing and blinding did not add to the anniversary experience. Second, when we had a drink in the bar after, the bar staff (obviously under pressure) were not great either. One silly example is when I ordered a bottle of beer and asked for glass, the bar mans displeasure of having to fetch that glass was, lets say, rather disappointing and obviously he expected me to want to drink from the bottle which I appreciate some people prefer to do.
Finally we stayed over (although we live local), the receptionist was also rather fed up with the world (or so it appears). Whilst efficient (offering a taxi etc) there was no engagement, we were just another task of the morning.
Overall, and as stated above, the food was superb (although we decide not to have desert) as were the restaurant staff. It was spoiled wider matters and for the chef /kitchen staff must I am sure be rather disappointing. Kind Regards, Michael
I was dining along but made to feel cosseted and cared for
I chose the Surprise Menu with matching wines. It was simply divine and the sommelier was incredibly good explaining about the wines in a very down to earth and interesting way. Highly recommended for a special meal
Amazing experience, great food, great service and great atmosphere. Everything was just perfect. Thank you guys!
Fabulous meal on the evening of our wedding! They really looked after us and we enjoyed every mouthful.
Phenomenal food!! Fantastic service and a wonderful experience
Went for a birthday celebration for my Mum on the recommendation of a friend on the Island. Flew in specifically just for lunch. Not the easiest place to find, ultimately needed to take a cab.
Staff terrific, welcoming, informed about the food, but not obsequious and falling all over you to impress. Starter crab, good. Main Turbot, fish fine but served with exceptionally inedible odd stuff, not so good. Cheese course STUNNING, that's when the meal really entered another level. Port super with cheese. Then tea/coffee with fabulous petit four, super selection, a wonderful end to a memorable meal. Champagne was terrific to start with as well.
Overall an excellent experience, would most certainly return and absolutely recommend. The staff are a credit to this establishment, well trained, polite, informed, knowledgeable about what they serve, yet subtle and in the background without constantly bothering you. Well done. We take away memories of lunch in Jersey for my Mum's birthday with great affection, she had the most excellent time, we came for lunch and went away with something to treasure.
Thanks to everybody at Bohemia, it is a team effort, and you clearly foster a great team, well done you all.
An excellent day with lovely food and fabulous wine
We chose Bohemia upon recommendation and was not disappointed. The service is attentive and the food lovely.
Definite must for a Michelin experience.
