Since joining Bohemia in 2013 Steve has racked up an impressive list of accolades such as being named Catey Chef of the Year, being listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants with special praise given for desserts 6th in the UK for restaurants to enjoy dessert in.
We think that dining in Bohemia is not just eating but a wonderfully exciting way to experience dining at its best. We hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you when time allows.
Great service, good food, personally I think it's a little bit over-priced.
Absolutely flawless !!
Unusual and very special food - enjoyed everything.
Excellent food but it took nearly 3 hours to deliver the taster menu.
Good excellent best food we have eaten in many years but the noise from the bar was very distracting and spoilt the ambience.
Food fas ok, one too many flavour on most dishes. Service was rubbish, not a single waiter could serve wine
Food and service were outstanding! Each course was a tasty delight! Found ourselves looking forward with anticipation to each mouth full!
Excellent and faultless service, marred slightly by the noise from the adjacent bar
We visited Bohemia for my wife’s 40th. From the outside we we’re concerned if we had chosen the right place but on entering the door the high standard and luxury were obvious.
The levels of service were impeccable and the food simply Devine. We visited lots of restaurants whilst in jersey and this was head and shoulders above the rest even if rated the same!
Excellent in every respect!
Researched into the best restaurants on the island and this came up regularly. We booked easily as it was a Monday evening. Parking was available for free in a public car park across the road. From the moment we walked in the staff were extremely polite and obliging. Service was excellent without being intrusive. The food was amazing. We went for a pescetarian surprise menu which produced interesting, beautiful and most importantly tasty food. It is expensive but it is an experience rather than just a meal.
Wonderful imaginative food that did not disappoint. Background music somewhat intrusive though - suggest something more melodic.
Excellent, very attentive service. Exiting and interesting food combinations. Very pleasant atmosphere. Would recommend!
Visited for lunch while staying at the Hotel for a few nights. Wow! the food and the entire experience was amazing. Would highly recommend and would certainly visit again.
Went for the "Surprise" Tasting menu, every course was excellent, as was the sevice.
Great place, can see why it has the reputation. This was second time I have been, first time was surprise tasting menu which wasn’t personally my favourite as most of the courses were fish, but that’s just my preference. We had A La Carte this time and I throughly enjoyed my meal and will recommend it to my friends and others! Will be back for more.
First fine dining experience for me. My wife took me there for my birthday and I really enjoyed it. The service, food and atmosphere was really good. Will definitely do it again
Amazing food and service
Amazing food. We had the surprise menu with the paired wines and every course and wine choice was fantastic. At £59 for 6 courses the food was excellent value.
We had high expectations of this restaurant and were excited to go, given its high ratings and the Michelin star it holds.
My first surprise was the fact that the menu you receive in the restaurant is not the same menu as advertised on their website. Which is not very professional but something that I was willing to oversee since i was excited to try the cuisine regardless. I wanted to choose the 7-course Tasting menu and my partner was curious to try the 6-course Surprise menu, as we thought these would perfectly depict the Chef's style of cooking and the ingredients used. It came as a surprise that ordering two different menus for the same table is not allowed in this restaurant. I was extremely disappointed and my excitement level dropped drastically...they could have been honest from the start and informed us prior to us spending time looking throughout the whole menu, reading the dishes, etc. Never heard about this practice in any restaurant, let alone a Michelin starred restaurant.
We chose the 3-course in the end (instead of leaving, which would have been better to be honest). Most of the dishes lacked creativity and a wow-factor. The presentation was nice, a slight effort was made towards the attention to details and overall aspect of the plate but that is definitely not enough to sustain a Michelin star.
The amuse-bouche had a good taste but it was impossible to eat as it was extremely salty. The beef tartar was too spicy (overwhelming peppery taste) and the pieces were uneven. The foie gras cream is tasty and beautifully plated (as most of the dishes). My fish was cooked nicely however the garnishes were extremely bland and unimaginative. The veal was good. Pre-dessert was a very strange and unpalatable mixture of ingredients. Dessert was alright, nothing to leave a lasting impression or anything you would die to try again
It was a great way to ruin an anniversary night.
Great meal and service, deserves its top rating
The food was fabulous and the service impeccable!! Would highly recommend as it’s a very special treat!
An excellent experience and some really attentive staff.
I have the pleasure in eating in many restaurants around the world for business and this was high quality food, not too fussy, not too much and absolutely delicious. Good service from the restaurant staff and manager, who made us feel most welcome
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Hope to came again soon.
I was disappointed. The noise level from the music (Muzak?) in the bar area was sufficiently loud in the restaurant area to make conversation difficult and made the eating experience unpleasant. The food was good enough, but not impressive and in no way compensated for the overall experience. I certainly would not return and feel surprised that this restaurant has a Michelin star. I have been to several Michelin starred restaurants and have never before been so disappointed.
Was my wife’s Birthday (18 weeks pregnant), we were greeted by the maitre D with a grunt and not very welcoming, asked for a particular table but was was told no we had a table either in the restaurant or at the bar !
Waiting service was excellent and food was good but not hot, just about warm, we had spent the previous evening at Chateau Le Chaire which I have to say was far superior !
I did not want to complain at the time so as not to upset my wife on her special day !
We will return and hope to have a better experience.
Fantastic range of options for lunch from several course tasting menu, to a single course. We chose the two course set meal and both loved what we chose. It was lovely to come away repleat but not stuffed.
It’s literally always amazing. Have the surprise tasting menu. There’ll be 2-3 things on it that you’d have never ordered but you’ll love them anyway. Can’t rate Bohemia highly enough. I’ve been ~10 times now and it’s never failed to deliver.
Our whole experience was fantastic. Great food, fabulous service in a beautiful restaurant.
Daniel and his staff are excellent, welcoming and knowledgeable. Service as ever was exceptional and of course, Steve and his team provided did not disappoint.
Christmas Eve set menu. The dishes were beautifully presented but I found that almost everything I ordered was fairly tasteless, not to mention VERY small. The wood-pidgeon the best part of the meal. The children’s menu was very disappointing - I wish that restaurants did not assume that children only like bolognese, burgers or fish & chips! I appreciate not having to pay full whack for the set menu for the children but something a little more inspiring or versions of the main menu would be more appropriate in this setting. The ambience was lovely, perfect lighting and coziness. The Sancerre was delicious. The staff were perfectly attentive though perhaps a little obsessive about re-folding our napkins continually! Overall I enjoyed the experience.
Another amazing meal. Great way to spend Christmas Eve!
We went for our anniversary, we have been before over a number of years. For a change we ordered the 6 course surprise menu at lunch. To start we had a cocktail each - these were tasty and cost around £11. One of us is pescatarian and I eat anything and we were asked by the maitre d' any requirements when we arrived. We were given a cheese croquette as an amuse bouche which was excellent. The next course was a mushroom tortellini on black garlic with a butternut squash veloutte, again this was superb. This was followed by a mixed heritage beetroot salad, amazing and then a bream and oyster tartare with a cucumber and horseradish veloutte, brilliant! Then we had a bass fillet with scallops followed by a beetroot and yogurt pre dessert and then "textures of apple and blackberry". This final dessert was the pick of the bunch and packed a real surprise. Service is excellent, attentive whilst remaining unobtrusive. The restaurant has enough noise and ambience to allow comfortable chat whilst also not being noisy. Couldn't recommend too highly.
We had an excellent meal and were treated like royalty. All of the staff were great.
Exquisite presentation on the plate and flavours on the palate with impeccable delivery from friendly staff.
An unforgettable experience in fine dining, excellent food with attentive service & great atmosphere for intimate dinner
Food was as good as ever and service was polite but attentive. Expensive (over £300 for 2 of us drinking wine by the glass) but that is only to be expected at a Michelin starred venue.
Fabulous menu with out of this world flavours
Definitely on my list of all time favourite menus
Well presented great tasting food. Quick and professional service
