We are regulars from the neighborhood and have always had impeccable experiences hosting dinners with friends here. outstanding dishes include the Tandoori Chicken and Crispy Spinach appertizer. Also try the Cobra Coffee for a theatrical finish to the meal.
The staff can be more attentive in topping-up our glass whether it is water or wine since the restaurant was not very busy that night.
The food was excellent but find it too pricy when we received the bill at the end of our meal.
Staff are very friendly but could do with more attention with the customer's needs.
The decoration is a little tired for me considering the ample space the restaurant have. It has great potential to attract a lot of customer specially with the location it is currently at the moment.
I was saying the above in order to help the restaurant to excel more as I still find it a nice and pleasant place to dine.
Goodluck to everyone and thanks.
beautiful setting, great selection of very tasty food.
One of the best Indian restaurants I've dined in. Excellent service, fantastic food and friendly staff. Upper class atmosphere and also live music made the whole experience one of the best. Highly recommended.
there were no other diners, so great for me and my friends who thought that my finances extended to booking the whole restaurant!
Fantastic Indian food. Nice ambience, we got the piano as background music and it was pretty nice for a business dinner.
We went as a group from office. We were well looked after. One of us didn't like the drink we ordered. It was quickly replaced. Another person on our group needed special side dish not on the menu. The manager was accomodative and organised a dish for us. We ordered the cobra coffee and got front seat viewing of how its made in the bar area.
Good atmosphere...excellent food, but maybe have more dessert options..
Went with my family and couldn’t be happier. We sat in the large dining room with our entire dinner being accompanied by a great piano player and the staff being so friendly and attentive.
The Aperitif cocktails are have an Indian twist to them and we’re absolutely delicious! We didn’t get any appetizers because we had a bigger lunch that day but I would have loved to try them. The menu had a great selection of dishes that gave took the recipes you know from your Indian place around the corner and created more elegant, elevated versions of it. I normally always take chicken but actually ended up ordering a vegetarian meal that was incredible! And the dessert was definitely the highlight. I ordered the Cobra Coffee with my dad and ended up getting a whole show with it. It’s made with coffee, white sugar, brown sugar, whiskey, snaps and an orange peel. Our waiter prepared it in front of us to show how he flambéd the sugar and whiskey mix and then let the burning snaps run down the orange peel! The end result is better than any Irish coffee, liquid cocaine or espresso martini you’ve ever had.
For gluten free: their menu listed all allergens that were included and the waiters made sure to accommodate to my allergy. Very happy with the service!
First time here and was really looking forward to it.
From the moment we entered it really was a beautiful restaurant, the ambience was perfect and everything about the restaurant oozed class, the double doors open up to a huge room like some sort of a gallery which was nice, and the live music from a gentleman playing the piano was very cool.
The food, starters were amazing, no doubt about it, made me think that the food to come would also be but alas it did not turn out that way.
I was disappointed in the mains, the prawn and the saag to be more precise, didn't really have much flavour and i felt for the money you're paying it wasn't worth it, but again this is just my opinion.
The service was great, the waiter(s) were eager to impress and explained the things on the menu clearly.
Maybe could have given us a bit more time to eat before asking if everything was ok etc, had 2 waiters come and ask within 2 minutes of each other.
Overall, although the restaurant itself is gorgeous, i don't feel the food itself was too great to make me go back again.
Vera Nice restaurant, excellent food, friendly staf
Amazing feel and ambience. Excellent service and attention. Good starters. Mains very disappointing
Loved every minute here, food and customer service was excellent.
It's a good place to be for the special events. I found the ambience to be too pleasing with variety of food options in the buffet and the service was too good. Good value for the money. I would definitely recommend this place.
Excellent service and great tasting food. Cannot fault one bit. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
First ate at Bombay Brasserie over 30 years ago and had our wedding reception there. Visit very occasionally when in London. Went with my wife to celebrate Valentine's Day. Great experience. The food is probably the finest Indian food you might ever hope to taste.
Unusual night: I had a reservation at 10 pm and due to storm Ciara they had some problems with a part of their staff so the kitchen had to close at 10.30 pm. We had to order so quickly and to eat even more quickly (I did not receive any notification about that, not even by email and for sure they had mine because I used it to book a table). So the service was a bit poor (no coat service at the entrance and high pressure to conclude the meal in half an hour) while the food always so good. So sad about this situation because - coming from Rome - I reserved a table almost 1 month before.
Love this place!
Excellent food and service!
Highly recommend and will go back!
Slightly higher priced but worth paying extra for great food.
Great location, design and interior!!!
Awesome service , very welcoming. The food is lovely. Enjoyed a special occasion.
The ambience was excellent. Seating in the conservatory was good. The atmosphere was friendly with lots of family and friends dining together. To me this is what weekends are about.
Food was overall good. Starters were excellent.
Service was wonderful. Plenty of waiters waitresses to hand. Very friendly.
Enjoyed and will be back
Excellent food and great service. We went for a lunch on our anniversary and were delighted with the service and attention. Highly recommended.
I love this place . It has the right ambiance and the service is amazing . I would come back soon
Very good lunch not been for 10 years as I live 5 hours drive away now, will probably be back next year when due back in London for the weekend
It was amazing!
Enjoyed the tasting menu with my family for a special birthday occasion. Excellent Indian food everybody enjoyed at the table
Great Indian food, and lovely service. The menu is versatile, with some interesting combinations.
Visiting London. Try to get to the Bombay Brasserie every time we do. Never disappoints
My first visit to the restaurant. My friend spoke really highly of this and I must say I wasn’t disappointed. Authentic Indian food, great ambiance and even better service. It was my wife’s birthday and they presented us with a complimentary dessert. They really made it perfect for us. I would highly recommend it to others.
The place was stunning...great service, great food and a great night....
Great family dinner: Rogan josh and chicken tikka exceptional. Scallops starter very good.
Wonderful ambience and service and excellent food. We had the tasting menu and it was fantastic and more than enough food!
Been coming here since the 80s and food and service have got better. Particularly like the fact prices are inclusive of service.
Like many reviews of BB I remember it from it's past glory in the 80's and 90's when it was the place to go. I have not been back since and was therefore looking forward to seeing if it was still the place I remembered but regrettably far from it ! We had booked lunch for 1:30 as part of our day Christmas shopping but there were only a handful of tables occupied and the restaurant was cold and dark. Menu looked fabulous but unfortunately the dishes did not meet expectations. Our local curry house does better for a fraction of the price. Overall disappointing although to be fair our waiter said it's much busier in the evening.
I loved the experience yet again! I’ve been to the Bombay Brasserie a dozen times and it’s the best place to take visitors from abroad who have a discerning palate for Indian food.
I haven't been to the restaurant for a few years. The ambience and staff are as I remembered which is good. However the service was very slow and it took almost 45 minutes for the food to arrive.
We had the simple chicken curry and rice and a prawn starter (there were two!). We had a couple of beers and one gin and tonic.
Food tasted good.
The bill was £110 which in all honesty I felt was way over the top. It was great to see my friend from the US and we had fun but value wise - not good.
Wonderful service, food and ambience - the Bombay brasserie experience is always exceptional - must go again in 2020 !!
We had a late booking after a concert and they were very gracious welcoming us after what was probably a very busy and exhausting evening. The food was outstanding and we will most certainly be going back there soon.
Loved the bite size pampadoms to start. Soft shell crab: excellent. Sauce with chicken brivani (spell?) was delicious,
Lamb kebab, naam, raita all excellent. Masala chai delicious. Server was a delightful friendly gentleman. Thank you
A second visit didn’t disappoint....thankyou for a great evening
