Great place, a real jewel tugged in a beautiful location, enjoyed authentic Chole Bhature while sitting n basking in the sun.
Loved it, the staff were great with my children and toned down spice on their food. Been going for years, but not been for a while. So pleased it is still so good!!
I went there on a date night, the ambience was classy and modern, the service was impeccable despite having to be rushed due the 10pm close covid rules.
The starters were amazing, the potions were so large we carried our food home!
I would definitely recommend it.
Service was great but did not enjoy the mains . Naan bread and rice were lovely. What would be veggie sides were listed as mains and overpriced.
The staff were so kind, thoughtful and very aware of Covid requirements. We will go again next week.
Excellent
Excellent food with nice decor in the restaurant. Very quiet due to Covid-19, but very enjoyable still.
The food portions were big and very well made, which made it great value considering the prices were slightly on the high side.
We will definitely be back and soon.
Great food. Sadly because of Corona, less of a buzz than normal
Excellent dinner! We enjoyed each dish. The flavors were great.
Fantastic food, had our server pick out an array of dishes for our family & every one was delicious!
A regular - best Indian food in London, friendly service, spacious with warm ambiance - in contrast to many Indian restaurants in which tables seem jammed in. Have been visiting Bombay Palace regularly for six years. Go nowhere else for Indian unless necessary.
A regular. Best Indian and ambiance for an Indian restsurant in London.
Fantastic service and food as always. My go to Indian Restaurant when visiting London. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Good food and sevice
Nice evening meal as part of business meal
We have been to Bombay Palace several times before and food has been generally good. However, when we visited a few days ago, we found food very bland and almost tasteless. Kofta was very sweet, paneer had no taste, nan was not soft and service wasn't that great either.
Looks like quality of restaurant has deteriorated over time! Will think twice before revisiting.
Fabulous food - restaurants rarely serve bitter gourd as it is an acquired taste - so glad Bombay Palace did as it was sensational as was everything else we ordered
Big dispointment since this restaurant is reviewed very well. Interior of restaurant is not nice and its very cold (we had to put our coats on). Food is terrible. Probably the worst Indian food we even had, even our self cooked Indian food is far better. Dont try the vegetarian spinach dish!! Our whole table thought its was discusting.
Staff very friendly and food is tasty. Felt like I was back in India.
Warm and lovely service and particularly kind with our small son with a high chair and offer of a special few dishes. The fried okra and the chaat were particularly tasty with just the right level of heat and spice. The prawns were fresh and super spicy with the garlic naan and the grilled chicken also tender and juicy. The only comment would be the restaurant needs some updating and I’m sure it would be full every day.
Very hot in the room
Was one of the best Indian places ever been to. Service was fantastic
Great food, friendly staff and great surroundings. Would recommend to anyone for great food and an evening to remember.
I last visited the restaurant some ten years ago when my offices were based in Westbourne Grove.
This was a special treat for my Nephew and his dear wife. We decided to try out the vegetarian dishes.
The food was as good as it was from all those years ago, the setting seems not to have changed much. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and brought the food to the table in a timely fashion without any fuss.
For an evening out in almost a West End venue the price per head for food and drinks at about £50 quid was just right I felt.
A little disappointed with the venue, but they got the main things right, namely the food and the service!
Great prawns and daal. The seekh kebabs were very good as well. Friendly service and decent prices.
The 7 of us dined at Bombay Palace for a special occasion. Having dined there before, I hoped Bombay Palace would exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, they did not.
My expectations for a restaurant who is aiming to be compete with its peers should meet similar standards. The starters were pretty decent in terms of flavour, but the mains were lacking in my opinion.
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, which was a good experience. It would be good to get some consistency amongst the waiting staff in their approachability and friendliness though.
Other similar restaurants often make a note of special occasions and either will say something to the guest of honour or even try and arrange a token surprise. If you’re expecting this from Bombay Palace... you will be disappointed.
This review was not meant to sound as negative as it does and it’s not my intention. The overall experience was not bad, but average.
It was my birthday and my daughters wanted to give me a special treat. Having been to Bombay Palace before, albeit many years ago, I knew the food would be good, and it certainly exceeded our expectations. It is a little overpriced, but the food and ambiance makes it worthwhile. Will certainly go back!
Extensive menu that will satisfy all palates. Staff was attentive and helpful in describing the dishes. Flavors were well balanced and spice levels were perfect.
Top notch food and service.
Great quality food and fabulous service from the chef
Excellent Indian food, good service and very nice ambiance. But too expensive. Way overpriced!
The manager was very pleasant and accommodating. Food was awesome
really disappointed, very poor service and the food wasn’t as good as we’ve had before
First visit and need assistance in ordering Indian cuisine. The manager and waiter were very attentive and helped us understand and order our dinner. Great experience.
Great place for early dinner with family. Top quality food
Good, welcoming service, very relaxing atmosphere, excellent food
Great food and great service/ambience. Easy to get to! Overall very pleasant experience!
The food was very good and the service was excellent we really enjoyed our meal
Very good and suited our needs
It was AMAZING! The food was proper authentic home made Indian food.
