A bad night for them, I guess. Arrived for a 6:30 reservation on a Friday and found the place virtually empty. No one at the "maître d" desk. No tables occupied. A few hardy souls at a bar and a few staff huddled at the end of the bar talking to each other. We finally walked up to the bar and asked if the restaurant was open. A server said yes and shooed us off to select "any table you want." Menu is now a lot shorter and less interesting than on prior (better!) visits. Despite the empty room, service was remarkably inattentive. Food was just OK.
We had Sunday brunch. The buffet was @$21, with typical breakfast selection.....nothing special or beyond breakfast fair. Based on the quantity of food you took, you could get your money worth. Food was good, not great. The ambiance is very dark and it is noisy due to background music playing. No table cloths. The service was excellent and very friendly. Overall, it was OK.
You would think that such a nice place would have a better menu and service! No one greeted us when we walked in. We finally had to ask where to sit. They sit us at a cocktail table because half of the dining area was closed. We then moved to a booth when it became available. The menu is limited and was okay for what we ordered. I think if this restaurant added more things to their menu they wouldn’t have to close half of the dining area which is such a shame for such a cute place! I wouldn’t go back because there wasn’t anything to be wowed about when there’s so much to chose from in the area that give a better experience.
Family got together after my son’s Confirmation and Ruthie, our server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food menu. She was accommodating and efficient. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time.
First time at this restaurant. It was very good and I plan to go back. Looking forward to it.
Went for Valentines Dinner. Had the calamari, two flat breads and the porterhouse for dinner. Got so sick for 36 hours after. Couldn’t leave the toilet. It was terrible. Overall an excellent place though.
Average. Service was noticeably poor.
Excellent--always look forward to the food and service
They still have one of the best breakfasts in the area. Our dinner was good, but surprised you had to pay for bread at the restaurant. The service was excellent.
Nice renovated bar and dining area. Pricing was slighty above average.
WAY overpriced. Food was ok at best, but prices were NYC levels.
Service was pretty slow. Food was good, but kind of expensive to not come with a starch.
Menu was creative but overpriced. They must think everyone is on business trip and being reimbursed.
Calamari perfectly seasoned, but slightly over cooked and rubbery; breading light and crispy; sauces perfect. Ribeye well sized; truffle fries tasty, but slightly under cooked. Nitpicking - but over all a good dinner.
Went for Fathers Day breakfast
Ages range from 11 to 91. Great buffet. We also had the very best waiter, John
We enjoyed our meal and we were a group of 6 ranging in age from 13 to 73 - everyone was pleased with their meal choices.
Stood around for 5 minuets with no hostess/host. Eventually asked the bartender where they were. We were told to seat ourselves. Service was acceptable once we sat. No Open Table credit. Food was decent. Probably not going back for awhile.
Great meeting place to catch up with friends.
The ambiance, the food were great. The "no me importa" cocktail was great. My wife loved it.
Amazing food! Ambiance is relaxing yet fun! Love it here!
The restaurant has a nice menu. The flat breads are pretty big - so don’t over order like we did. Had a lovely salad with grilled shrimp. The only downside - the restaurant is in the hotel lobby - right next to a very loud bar - the noise travels and is intrusive if you are looking for a quiet dinner spot
I made a reservation for two at 7pm through Open Table and requested a quiet location to talk preferably a booth. When we arrived there was no acknowledgement by the staff of the reservation or the request. All booths were taken. There was a lot of empty seating in the “dead zone” away from where everyone was sitting so maybe that is why they did not bother reserving a table, but what was the point of me making a reservation if it is not acknowledged or the specific request honored for a booth when that was clearly possible for them without compromising accomodating other guests.
Very creative food and exceptional service. Not at all what you would expect from a hotel restaurant. Beautiful classic finishes with lots of capacity. Far enough from hotel front desk that it feels entirely independent. Highly recommend for any ocassion.
The kitchen was incredibly slow, the server was outwardly aggravated with her fellow staff and we were left without refills or food for 1.25 hours. She did offer us a discount, which was appreciated. The food, however, was exceptional.
Went to Booker & Zinc for late breakfast. Restaurant was empty so it was quiet. Sat in a booth with personal TV. Liked that as I had to wait for friend. Had the Eggs Benedict. Eggs perfectly cooked. Could have used more Hollandaise sauce. The fried fairly large hash brown was good but was cold. Had great service. Very attentive.
We love how they cater to our kids! Very well run establishment with family friendliness in mind!
Place was nice. Service was exceptional but the food could have been better.
Dumplings and flatbread were good but the steak was super salty.
Could have been a one time miss from the chefs part.
Our server was a little too laid back, maybe she was new, but she showed no emotion what so ever. I asked for some bread to eat with my salad and I was told they don't offer bread service (I would expect this is an issue for others as well.) Our salads and filet mignon entrees, including the potatoes and side order of vegetables were all 5 star quality, fresh, perfectly seasoned and cooked as ordered.
The wine was very good, maybe a little over priced, but not a deal breaker.
Towards the end of our meal, a family with a lot of children came running in, but fortunately the did settle in quickly.
I live locally and will probably go back.
From the website, I expected to be able to order off the menu, but they only had a breakfast buffet available. There was nice selection of breakfast foods. The wait staff (esp Alex) was very friendly and helpful.
It's a great atmosphere for a quiet get together. We were not rushed at all.
WE HATED IT! | WE LOVED IT! Ordinarily, we avoid hotel restaurants, as they are usually overpriced and the food unimpressive. But the menu here looked interesting and we were in the mood to try a new place.
GREAT FOOD... the menu was focussed and well balanced with something for everyone. The food was very well prepped and plated nicely. Our waiter was professional, very polite, and more polished than we expected, albeit he was being pulled everywhere (fortunately we were not rushed for time). Must try: the flatbreads were yummy, the salads were incredibly fresh, and the short ribs tender and delicious.
HATE THE AMBIENCE: kids running around in swim attire, parents shouting, and the restaurant feels like the breakfast room in a Hampton Inn! Hey! Take the nondescript, self-serve-at-breakfast coffee cups off the tables at night! The quality of the kitchen and the professional staff deserves better than this environment.
WILL WE RETURN? Undecided at this time...
The ambiance was good, the restaurant appeared welcoming and had a very cool look. The Edison lights and the fixture were the highlight of the night! The service was a little slow but completely lacking any sort enthusiasm or effort. The food was bland with the expection of the perfectly cooked and seasoned vegetables. Same goes for the dessert, the apples had no flavor but the crust that was baked was good. There were pieces of potential but nothing that would tell me to come back or that it was just an off night.
The food and service were excellent!
This is a hotel restaurant, and it looks like a sports bar. But don't let that deter you from eating there. I met a friend there for dinner (neither one of us was staying in the hotel), and we were both pleased with the food and the service. One thing I really liked was that one could order wine in either a 3, 6, or 9 oz pour. My friend and I both had flatbreads, and they were very good.
Would never go back. Had a reservation through open table tonight for my family at 6:00. When we got there they did not honor the reservation and said they were not seating anyone else because if an event they were having. Worst experience ever! Lost a customer as well as my client business!
there menu on line was not the menu when we got there 3 items I came there for were not on the menu
The place had a dating event next to our table. Fish was not fresh. A waste.
Excellent choice for dining in Bridgewater. Good food and service.
Very nice restaurant. Food was delicious, and very reasonably priced for the area. It was a Monday night, so it was not very crowded. Would recommend even if you are not staying at the hotel( which we were not)
Food was excellent, ambiance very nice although the temperature inside the restaurant was a bit too cool, bring a sweater, wine a little pricey
Love the private both with TV, look of the renovations, service and food. Five stars!!!!
I was favorably impressed. Good value and nice ambiance.
