Great outdoors area. Staff lovely. Food great. Wine selection amazing.
Consistently great - and my Dad loved it (high praise)!
I had been to Boro Bistrot on quite a few occasions, but since my return to London at the end of summer and Covid-19 making it more desirable to be outside, I have become a rather regular visitor (I've probably been there 5 times in the last 5 weeks)! It has really good cocktails, a great wine list and lovely food. The staff are all highly professional, attentive and genuinely charming, from Kenza, the manager, to the waiting staff: Max, Ella, Louis and a young man whose name I forgot to ask (sorry!), but the same thing can be said for the guy on the front desk and the doorman, so I think that probably applies to everyone who works there.
My Dad likes his fine dining and would probably be best described as a very discerning diner, and he absolutely loved Boro Bistrot: he was impressed by the breadth of the wine list, the quality of the food and the fantastic staff, and furthermore, was pleasantly surprised by the bill!
Lovely staff, great outdoor eaterie for casual drinks and food.
Wonderful hidden gem! Lovely service, tasty tapas and amazing vibe. The music however is a bit loud when sitting inside
Excellent food and great atmosphere for a laid back business meal
We booked a table for 4 outside. And you’re under cover of an awning with heat lamps - it’s properly and professionally set up for outdoor dining. The staff wore their face masks the whole time and were really helpful throughout. Plus, the food is delicious and generous portions!
As usual great team and food at Boro. Very good attention to social distancing and very reasonably priced too.
Great service, atmosphere and food as always. Highly recommended this little gem of a place in Borough Market
A marvellous place with a fantastic selection of wine, cheese and charcuterie.
Twice I have been served by Ella who is fantastic by her energy, smile and a charming french accent.
Shout out as well to Manu, who can't help to clap her hands in satisfaction before preparing a cheese board and to Kenza for her clothes shopping tips.
As you can see through my review, the staff is fantastic and won't hesitate to spend a bit of extra time with you.
One of the best London place to grab a bite and enjoy some really good selection of wine / beers.
Delicious meal with friends. Felt very safe throughout. Staff were lovely and friendly. Only issue was a 45 minutes wait for dessert then one was wrong. But the team were very apologetic and deducted off the bill. Very well handled. We'll be back.
Love the bar and restaurant itself, very cool quirky vibe and great menu for food and drinks. Unfortunately the table I was seated at was very small with a wine rack pushed up on one side of our table which I faced and then the wall next to it which my date had to face, which kind of was a buzz kill. I'd still recommend the place as the outdoor area is lovely but it's something they need to consider regarding their table layout
Really attractive place with plenty of outside tables and sofas in a sheltered location. Great lighting and outside heating. Friendly staff and interesting food.
Celebrated my 50th birthday with a few friends. Very welcoming ambience, great buzz and very relaxed atmosphere. Service was brilliant, friendly and attentive and the food is delicious, French style tapas. Bloomin lovely. Great quirky decor and worth a visit for the loos alone :)
Will definitely be back - glad I picked the first restaurant on internet search.
Thanks Boro Bistro
Gorgeous cocktails and lovely food, great service
Really great, thoroughly enjoyed the food and drink!
great atmosphere, food and drinks and lovely staff
Great staff who are all very friendly and helpful.
Had a beautiful lunch, would be ideal during summer to sit outside in the lovely seating areas there. The food was amazing and the service was brilliant. A French waitress who clearly knows her food was extremely helpful in helping us pick what to order. Next time I go I will definitely order the Boro board next time and have some of the beautiful french cheeses they have to offer. I would say it’s perfect for a lunch, or a few drinks and a snack in the evening. Due to it being small plates (tapas) type restaurant, but so worth visiting.
Had a great experience, definitely coming back!!
Amazing place, one of my favourite in London. Everything is great!
Staff were extremely helpful to accommodate us, all were very knowledgable about the menu and made great recommendations.
Really great venue for a romantic evening as long as you don't have drunk guys shouting on the table next to you like we had this last time. Otherwise no complaint, staff are nice and welcoming, food is great and it feels very Mediterranean to be sat on their patio.
Considering you are in the shadow of Southwark Cathedral, in the heart of one of London's busiest districts, the experience here is reminiscent of a pleasant bistro in the Loire. Great service, good food, enjoyable atmosphere and a price that makes you double check you're in central London!
Beautiful, great value food and service. Will be coming back soon!
Great food and really nice wines.
We were initially shown to our table and then forgotten about and had to flag a server down to get a menu, but once they engaged with us, the service was good from there on out.
Tables inside were socially distanced and the servers made a point of not reaching over the table or getting too close.
Would definitely come back.
We were seated in a nice quiet space, as requested, but then felt slightly forgotten about. After catching someone’s eye we ordered cocktails, padron peppers and the tapenades. A little while later we received the tapendades, then the cocktails, but one was incorrect. The apologies were genuine and the staff friendly but there was therefore another long wait till the cocktail arrived. Annoyingly this ended up with us being completely out of sync with our drinks. The padrons had been forgotten too unfortunately, but came swiftly after a reminder. However, as the staff were very friendly and after that we had no other problems, it was still a nice evening. The rest of our food was efficiently managed and hot but we weren’t wowed by any dish.
Service was fantastic , lovely place place & good value
Brilliant staff; very attentive and helpful - they really made our evening! Amazing location, yummy french food, good selection of beers as well as wine. A winner :-)
Food was average and slightly expensive for what it is. The atmosphere was good and the service very friendly.
Amazing service and great food!
Always a great place to visit for food or drinks!!
Great little tapas place. Super close to London Bridge Station, really nice outdoor areas. Only negatives, service is a little slow and heaters weren't working. Other than that great food, reasonably priced.
Great restaurant & bar with lovely outside seating area, we sat inside which was a lovely atmosphere & very quirky toilets! Be sure to check them out! The service was excellent & the food was lovely french tapas style.
Asked for a table away from noise and traffic when booking yet on arrival we were given the table for two nearest the coffee grinder, the meal prep area and the entrance. However they fixed that and what followed was fantastic service, friendly fun staff and the food was great.
We really enjoyed our time there. We’ll be back. Thank you.
The food was nice and good value. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere
We were so happy to come back to Boro Bistro after an absence. The food and staff were both delightful. I brought a new friend to try it for the first time but for me it was like going back to an old friend. Food was superb as always. Social distancing was done and all the servers were using hand sanitiser religiously. We will be back again soon.
Quirky decor. Good simple tapas style food. Inexpensive for central London. Great loos.
Love the vibe of this place and that it's tapas portions. My only gripe is our waitress was a little too quick to remove plates & glasses before we'd finished with them and we had to wait half an hour for our bread board. Aside from that, food was great and will definitely be back again.
Great service. Super for a group experience. Nice sitting outside but away from the noise. Food is average and slightly overpriced. But the cocktails were good price and really nice.
Nice atmosphere and decor, good food, fantastic location
