Great brunch with my family!
Another fantastic meal! We have never been disappointed; everything has always been perfect, from soup to dessert. Definitely a favorite!
We had a terrific meal. The shrimp corn chowder was great, and the portion was ample - almost too ample! I had the ancho shrimp, which were perfectly cooked, slightly spicy, on a bed of interesting accompaniments, and my friend had the swordfish, which he enjoyed. Service was pleasant and effective. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.
My wife celebrated our 30 year anniversary with a brunch date. We had been to Boulevard Seafood many time for dinner so I had no doubt that the brunch would be excellent and we were not disappointed.
Wonderful dinner. Nice specials, fabulous soup, friendly staff... highly recommend.
We ordered oysters (very good) and 3 appetizers. All very good. This place is bright, kinda noisy. Good for an energetic date and families. High top tables are small, so sharing 2 apps is tight. VERY good bread, house made rosemary and thyme, delish!
Food was good, well my husband's was good. I wouldn't know as I have an allergy and told them about it. When my meal came, it contained item I was allergic to eating. This was after extensive explanation to the waitress. She went and asked the chef if my meal could be prepared without it and the chef said yes. That is why I felt comfortable ordering. Had I eaten it, my husband would be driving me straight to the emergency room. They offered to remake it, but by then my confidence in the chef wasn't there. Plus we waited over 45 minutes for our meal and I really didn't want to wait that long again. Service was not there
Boulevard Seafood restaurant is located in Somerville downtown. It is a BYOB place. On Wednesday nights, they have fresh Oyster and Clam specials. We tasted their dozen , three variety of Oysters which were very fresh and succulent. Their fried Calamari was very good. We tried their Salmon special which was fresh and came with crusted with nuts and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their Crab cakes were delicious however little on a dry side. Overall the service was very attentive and quick. We never had to ask to refill our water glasses. Their Apple Crisp dessert was made from fresh apples and had a hint of Cinnamon. I was not very impressed with their Decaffe Coffee as it appeared not freshly brewed, very bitter taste and lukewarm.
Overall, the restaurant has a wide variety of items and they do use fresh ingredients and their Seafood very fresh. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant for good value, fresh ingredients and great service. We will definitely return.
Worst value in NJ.
3 fish tacos, 2 seafood risotto, a few appetizers and deserts totaled over $300. No liquor license.
Waitress brought the hot appetizers with the cold salads which really set me off given the price of the appetizers.
She ended the night standing over me with the card reader and said “if I would like to leave a to”......
Of course I was going to leave a tip but her standing over
Me with the machine in my hand made me extremely uncomfortable.
Lesson learned and never again!!
Went for the first time to celebrate our 28th anniversary. I don't know why we waited so long living nearby. The food was fresh and delicious. Libby our server was a sweetheart. We will definitely return more frequently. FYI it is a BYOB, if that matters to anyone.
Always have a good time here. The food is well prepared and the service is great.
We celebrated my son’s 21st birthday. He wanted fish and this is the place to go. We had an excellent meal, as always. Never disappointed. From start to finish it was excellent.
Excellent as always!!! My wife had the Surf&Turf and I had Sea Bass special....superb!!!!
We had a great meal, friendly staff, and worth the money.
Food consistently Excellent. Had the Paella for two and was the best that i ever had. Lunch also excellent no matter what you order.
Really liked this place. Fresh and reasonable oysters. A great special (horseradish crusted Halibut). BYOB. Only backed off a star from perfection because my wife’s tuna was good, not great. They’ll get another shot at 5 stars, it’s a terrific place. Excellent service.
We love this place. Best food around locally. We love the head chef Andrew!
A very nice addition to the Somerville restaurant family. Having the patio for outside seating will be a major benefit as the weather continues to get more moderate. The seafood "cannelloni" appetizer was very good - more like a sushi roll than cannelloni. The oyster gratin was an excellent take on rockefeller. The seafood risotto was flavorful and chock full of shrimp, lobster and scallops while the swordfish prepared expertly and not at all dried out. The steamed two pound lobster seemed a little pricey given the more moderate remainder of the menu but was very good and easy to get at. Definitely add the polenta fries as a side or an extra.
Food was excellent! Had mussels for app and 2 fish specials for dinner! Both were excellent, good portions!! Service was excellent, from the hostess to the server to the food runner and the lovely young girl who cleared our plates. Couldn't have asked for a better night! The only reason I didn't give five stars for value was we felt that the dinner prices were quite pricey at 36.00 a piece. No salad, and specials are not on the menu, the server tells them to you, so you don't know the price. My bad, we should have asked!! But other than that, excellent place to go!!
Food is always fresh and good... like the specials. Great swordfish burger and gazpacho watermelon soup!
The dining experience was amazing. From the start the host and wait staff greet you and make you feel welcome. Our waiter Gino, was very helpful as it was our first time there. There were so many amazing options to choose from, and the specials were great. From a value standpoint, it’s great to get top quality seafood at an amazing price. Definitely going back to try all the different dishes.
Another great experience at Blvd Seafood! Two specials, Atlantic Char and Red Snapper were expertly prepared! Delicious! Two friends joined us and the Salmon Burger was fab! Avocado/Crabmeat appetizer was amazing.....must order! BYOB too. Nice night to enjoy outdoor dining too!
I’ve been to the Boulevard on numerous occasions and they’ve never disappointed. Great poor boys, great swordfish burgers.
Calamari app was not good. All you could taste was the fried batter. Salmon entree was great. Perfectly cooked and tasty. Service was pretty bad, especially at this price point. It’s a decent place and I’d probably go back but there are many better options in town.
This was our first time dining here. Overall we had a positive experience. Our server was friendly and our orders were accurate. The steamed clams appetizer was incredible, but the salmon special with horseradish sauce was overly salty, which was disappointing. I mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and also verbally told our server the same. I guess I expected some type of special acknowledgement for the milestone, and there wasn’t one (e.g. hello from the manager, a special dessert, etc.). Boulevard Seafood Company is worth checking out, especially if you love seafood.
Food very good. Delay in entree coming out but they brought up free soup even though we didn’t even complain. Nice touch. Food was very good. Calamari was great.
Great food! It’s BYOB!
My husband and I enjoyed the Grilled swordfish as our entree. It was so delicious. The bay scallops were a great appetizer. My five year old daughter loved the grilled salmon. She ate her entire plate.
We decided on somewhere close to home to celebrate our 5th anniversary and chose the boulevard seafood restaurant. I will give you the positives . The avacado cannoli is a winner as is the fresh oysters . The seafood tacos were a cut above average .
First time visit with friends. The food and menu were excellent. The noise level a bit high but bearable. The chairs were meant to get you out quicker but we weren’t rushed.
Just a great spot. Service, food, everything. Love have MG it nearby.
The ac ducts kept leaking all over whatever was underneath it. Whether it was from condensation or whatever else it may be all I know is my legs kept getting splatters with water and nobody apologized or cleaned the floor. I thought a costumer was def going to fall that night.
Very fresh. Good oysters .salmon was delicious. Our server Gino was very very good!
This is a spot I will definitely return to when I’m back in the area. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I was seated upon arrival, the staff was attentive and my plates were delivered with just the right amount of spacing. To be fair, this was an early dinner reservation midweek day but it was well staffed to accommodate guests.
We went here for my brother's birthday. The whole family was happy and thought the quality of food for the price was great! Service was a little slow but overall we enjoyed it and will be back!
In fairness it was 95 degrees outside, but when I'm out for a nice dinner, I do expect that they are well air-conditioned. I requested they turn air up, but was told it wasn't possible. It really did impact our experience and frankly we ate quickly and didn't have dessert because of the intense heat. In terms of food, everything was well prepared, interesting flavors, expertly cooked. However, as a BYOB, I expect that that I'm able to keep the bill under $100 for appetizers and entrees for two.
