Steakhouse
BOURBON STEAK by Michael Mina offers guests an innovative American steakhouse and timeless dining experience with a twist. Our culinary team prepares pristine cuts of American and Japanese beef. Using Michael Mina’s signature process, the meat is slow-poached then cooked over a seasoned wood-fired grill to a mouthwatering finish. The bar at BOURBON STEAK features an extensive list of 20th century cocktails made to order, along with an extensive wine and spirits list. Additionally, the restaurant has a cultivated collection of small batch bourbons and whiskies it pours table side on its beverage cart.

Signature dishes include Japanese A5 Wagyu, American Wagyu Filet Mignon and a trio of duck fat French fries for every table. In the bar do not miss specialty drinks such as The Potomac, a variation of the classic dirty martini.

Had thanksgiving dinner, food was too salty. Ribeye was over cooked, fries were oily. Too expensive for the food I had.

The service was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ordered the bone marrow appetizer. It was melt-in-your-mouth rich, buttery, and meaty. This was after we received surprise fries dusted in a trio of seasonings with complimentary sauces AND delicious homemade bread. The Japanese Waygu beef did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly and was silky and tender. It came with a trio of sauces, but it really didn't need anything else. Everything was perfect.

Service was very slow at first. It took almost 45 minutes to place or order for dinner.....Once things started it was excellent and service was fantastic. The Lamb chop was disappointing for the amount of meat (very little) and the amount of fat(too much). Could be our fault, for selecting it. The warm seafood platter was outstanding as was the bread and the wine selection.

We had not been to Bourbon Steak in 10 years. The prices were expensive then but at least we felt like there was some value. Now, it’s just laughable. Ridiculously expensive and you get nothing. (Except a large roll).

Food, service and drinks were excellent. The lighting is a little too dim for us and we aren't that old :) I recommend one notch up on the lighting for the room. Or, add candles to the table so you can read the menu. They brought a table lamp but a candle would add to the ambiance, not take away like a lamp. We are all in our mid-40s so I can't imagine your older clientele enjoys the dim lighting either.

The meal was fabulous as was our service! We will be back, albiet with our cell phone flashlights on to order.

Food and service were outstanding. Table was very dark, could not even read menu without help of phone. Server got a candle for us which helped a little with ambience but only minimal help with reading the menu.

It is the most serene courtyard in which to have the most incredible albeit pricey food-really special!!!
Service and the sommelier were also awesome. Valet is very convenient, although since we live in Arlington, we like to park in Rosslyn and walk to the Four Seasons-lovely!

The rat problem in the outdoor area is unacceptable for this price point. I hosted a business dinner and we had to scamper from our table given the number of rodents.

Service was efficient but waiter could have been friendlier. The sommelier was outstanding and extremely helpful. Food was amazing. Our part of the restaurant was obnoxiously loud, but we managed.

My friend and I met up for a post-pandemic dinner. We decided on Bourbon Steak, and our experience was great, due in no small part to our our wonderful server, Shelly. She really helped us decide on what to order since we were on the fence about pretty much everything except the steaks!

We started off with drinks. My friend had the Light Up the Season, and I had the Apple Cobbler. She liked the Light Up the Season so much, she had a second one; it was a very fresh, light cocktail. I think I expected more of an apple taste to the apple cobbler, but there was just too much ice in it for my taste. I drank it because, well whiskey, but I didn't have another.

We knew we wanted steak. She ordered the NY Strip (medium well), and I had the Cape Grim rib eye (medium rare). With the disparity of our preferences, we were glad to find both of our steaks cooked to perfection!

With the sides, we really wanted to try them all, but decided to settle on two - that is until Shelly described them all. We were informed that we'd receive french fries and bread, but we still got the truffle mac and cheese, broccolini, and brussel sprouts. I'm not a huge mac and cheese fan, but this was really good! The brussel sprouts were roasted and slightly crunchy. The broccolini topping was really good, too! Part of the reason we ordered so much was because the only thing better than a steak dinner is a steak lunch!

My friend asked about the steak sauces, and Shelly informed us that there was an off menu sauce that was similar to chimichurri. We were sold. We got the unlisted sauce (I can't remember the name!), the bearnaise, and the bourbon steak sauce (because you have to try to the house sauce!). I'm not a fan of sauce on steak, but that off-menu sauce was fantastic!

Dinner was great. Thank you Shelly and everyone else for an awesome dining experience!

There was a wedding party at the hotel so our reservation was put in an overflow room to the side of the main dining room and the kitchen was very slow, took 40 mins to get our appetizer and first drinks. Things sped up once I mentioned it to the waiter. Waiter was great and the food was outstanding.

This was probably the best service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. The wait staff was fantastic! It was our anniversary and we were given complementary champagne and dessert and the dinner was amazing. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

The NY Strip on bone was average. Cooked to my specification medium rare. I have had better tasting same dish at Capital Grill. The ambiance was dark brown dreary. Would have preferred a more formal classic or modern.
Service was excellent as were oysters and desert.
But I went there for an above average steak which I can only describe as average. Same reaction as my guest. I eat in steak restaurants regularly. One word summary fir my steak-underwhelming.
