Brasserie Zedel
As always with Zedal delicious food and excellent service. I’m still amazed at the quality for the price. I LOVE IT HERE.
The attention your staff gave us to meet our needs was exceptional. Lovely ambience. I shall return and so will my guests. Thank you.
Meeting friends from USA and we had a fabulous time as always!
We brought our friends for dinner before the theatre to the beautiful Zedel. As usual the place was heaving, the food delicious and the service 10z
Great atmosphere but average food
Always enjoy dinner here. It’s a beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious.
Zedels caters for all budgets and palates. Service was perfect, attentive but not intrusive and the Art Deco former ballroom just adds a lovely ambiance. Our waitress, Sophie, new to her role, deserves a special mention! She was great.
Dined here several times for several different types of occasions and it’s continues to be a perfect choice each and every time. Keep up the great work!
On opentable we mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary and the restaurant was very gracious with complimentary wishes and aperitif.
It was another all-round excellent experience for me at Brasserie Zedel. I ordered beef bourguignon which was delicious - the meat was tender and full of flavour. The chocolate mousse is light and extremely moreish. I introduced a friend to the restaurant who enjoyed it as much as I do. We are looking forward to visiting again.
Great buzz as usual. Service a bit chaotic to start but soon put right by manager. Pleasant evening overall.
Great staff, amazing food and the most beautiful restaurant
Very nice anniversary dessert. We loved it
Great atmosphere and ambience, food was delicious and great value but service was slow.
Best place to take
Someone and impress. Amazing food
My wife enjoyed the steak béarnaise. My choucroute was a large portion but maybe not the best choice
We had the 2 course Prix Fixe menu and it was delivered speedily and was delicious.
Always a pleasure to eat here. My beef was delicious. Sadly my husband isn’t keen on French food and moaned that I had booked here but I will be back. Without him.
Good French food. Nice table. Good service. Pleasant ambience. Not rushed. Like everything about Zedel.
We ate dinner pre-theatre. The guy at reception assured me we would be out in time and indeed we were. The set meal of 3 courses + a glass of wine for £19.75 is such good value and the food was delicious. Perfect for a pre-theatre meal. The service was friendly and helpful, and speedy. Will definitely go again. I also like the busy but organised ambience of the brasserie, and the tables are done very prettily.
Although Zedel's is a huge restaurant the service and attention we received from the staff team was friendly, caring and attentive. It is a great venue for a delicious pre theatre dinner in beautiful French Art Deco surroundings.
Very good value and a beautiful venue. If I were to give some negatives I would say the room is loud because of the high volume of people and the service was not as fast as other places we have been to. Although I must say that the staff were really friendly and therefore we tipped them generously despite the kitchen not producing as quick as we would have liked.
Impressive venue and ambience- great to take visitors to London to. Steak was more mince meat though and mine came much more well done that everyone else’s despite asking for it medium (after being told rare wasn’t an option due to the meat cut). Hard to complain with £9.95 for 2 courses though !
We enjoy the pre theatre menu here. It is very good value for money. The restaurant setting is beautiful and the staff are great.
We were there on a Sunday evening, atmosphere was great, with live music too. We had a great table and I had mentioned it was a special occasion for my companion and Zedel were very kind to present a plate with "felicitations" and a macaron on it. It was a very kind touch which my companion was extremey appreciative of.
A memorable evening in this wow factor establishment.
Another great evening at Zedel with amazing oysters and generally a nice atmosphere, food, live music (Brazilian jazz standards) classy and discreet. A great all-rounder. A shame only that one of the servers seemed to be there against her will, which is probably not helped by the automatic 15% gratuity (we were 6). Anyway love the place and will return!
Great ambiance- acoustics first class for such a big busy restaurant. Food and service excellent. 15% service a bit punchy!
Food was very good wine a little expensive would like more choice on price fix menu.
Portion size seemed to be considerably less than on previous occasions to the point that although having a starter and a main which is usually sufficient I went ahead and had pudding. Although it was nice I prefer not having pudding for health reasons but I was still hungry after two courses. I usually love going to Brasserie Zedel but I might think twice before rushing back as the portion size was so small. I’m not sure if that was because I had reserved the table through Opentable. Of course I might be wrong but that was my impression.
Boeuf Bourgogne arrived extremely chewy - mostly all gristle and tendon very little actual meat. It was so inedible I had to return it. They exchanged it for a steak haché which is effectively just a burger patty without a bun, without salad just lying on its own on a giant plate. It was so laughable. £10 for a burger patty and £16.50 for an extremely poor boeuf Bourgogne. Waste of money.
Extreme meh.
Always a favourite... Consistently delicious and a great experience
Super as always :-)
Dinner was lovely but we had been seated by the stage despite having booked several weeks in advance. When the band started we had to leave as we couldn't hear ourselves speak :(
We went for a birthday lunch. From arriving to departing the service was so nice, the birthday girl felt very special. The food was so nice, the atmosphere was cheerful, if a little noisy but to be expected with the height of the ceilings. Would definitely go again.
Love this place! It is such a hidden gem located downstairs near Piccadilly Circus - i love to take guests who have never been to see their jaw drop when they walk in. The food is great. There is a good vegetarian menu - although it could do with being changed more often as can get a bit repetitive for regular diners.
The service is always excellent and the atmosphere is really lively and bustling. There is often live music which adds to the atmosphere.
Fantastic setting great service and food Look forward to my next visit there
Great ambiance. There was excellent live music. Will return.
This is my second visit but my first to the basement. The restaurant is quite impressive and very reminiscent of Parisian bistros, with closely packed tables, huge amounts of noise and activity. However, don't expect an intimate conversation. Our neighbour who happened to be French struck up an interesting conversation and that is one of the charms of this type of bistro dining. On the food side, it was average. I had roasted pheasant but came in pot roast with winter vegetables. The meat was not as tender as i would like but quite acceptable. Service was alittle slow not surprisingly, but when you got the waiter's attention was quite prompt. It was a nice experience but not sure I will return
Great place, like the ambiance
First class as ever
Superb value for money in Central London.
