I find it strange that you don’t serve expresso or cappuccino just filtered coffee for such a large restaurant- I don’t know of any big restaurants that don’t have this machine!
Lovely atmosphere but food nothing special. Food was very cold.
Great food service was excellent we had a lovely evening
Great central spot for good food, good service and buzzy atmosphere.
One of my favorite places in London. Always festive and delicious.
Good food and service. Menu somewhat limited. Very noisy.
Not with my last experience. Usually good. However, this time we waited 45 minutes for our lunch and when the waiter cleared our table he dropped the dirty cutlery in my lap.
Excellent for a value lunch. Very convenient for West End. Service is very good
Great service and good french classics.
Another brilliant value meal at Zedel. Staff super professional as always. We were on an 18:30 slot and had to vacate the table just after two hours which was understandable.
Great ambience but maybe set menu should change every month.
We booked to dine at Brasserie Zedel before going to the theatre so were time poor. Despite a very busy service, we had an excellent experience, the atmosphere was buzzing, staff were friendly and very efficient and the food was delicious. Add to that the stunning décor and value for money, we couldn't fault it. Go there and see for yourself!
The experience was disappointing as the food did not arrive hot. Lukewarm French onion soup or escargots anyone? No one came to check on us and the only way to get service was seek out a server. We just ended up eating it anyway. Very loud acoustics. Beautiful decor.
When I ordered the food I ask if the dish didn’t contain any mushrooms, because I am extremely allergic; the waiter went to ask, and the response was not mushrooms.
When the dish came and I started eating, it was full of mushrooms, they change my dish, but no apologies from the management.
I was very disappointed with the behavior of the management of the restaurant.
I have been to Zedel many times in the past and it’s always a warning experience: great atmosphere, tasty steak hache and frites and a lovely Beaujolais. Again it lived up to expectations for a reasonably priced meal in a great setting. The only thing I was surprised to be told was treat there was a cover charge of £1.50. I asked what this was for as we didn’t have the bread but we were told that due to Brexit and the fact that they import their goods from France they everywhere was putting up their prices but Zedel had decided to keep the same price but charge this extra cover. Baffling - service charge was already 15% on top too. This should have been explained on the bill but instead the waitress said she wasn’t allowed to tell me and that the manager would explain. Another reason to stop Brexit!
Love coming back here - the atmosphere is great and the space is gorgeous. It’d be better if we could make reservations for bar zedel too!
Male staff at the reception were unfriendly. May be its the frenchness
Always enjoyed going here. Let down by details like tepid sides,
This is a favourite place for my family to eat in London as it’s just like a little bit of Paris dropped into London. Ambience, food and service is always excellent!!
Brasserie Zedel offers good food but it is more concerned about turnover than a quality customer experience. The service was rushed.
Professionally slick but friendly service totally geared up to getting you to the theatre on time if that's where you're heading. Menu had something for everyone and everything was delicious. A great start to the evening!
Really poor service, despite the front desk asking what time we needed to a way for to get to the theatre, the waiter completely ignored us and served every other table before us. The food took exceptionally longer than expected but the Maitre de apologised for this. However the waiter was unhelpful and un interested. The food was mediocre and not at all good value for money. I also asked for a large glass of wine, but this was served in a tiny glass that could not possibly contain 250ml. The bill begged to differ though. Sadly could not find anyone interested enough to question this or even to settle the bill. We had to leave so luckily we had enough cash to leave this on the table and got out of there as quickly as possible. Definitely will not be returning!
Very good ...as usual.
What a find, magnificent French brasserie tucked away under Piccadilly. Fabulous service, ambience, great food and drinks. Treat yourself! And Le Crazy Coqs cabaret style venue and American Bar cocktail bar all part of same venue. Cracking night out, highly recommend.
My favourite restaurant in regards of aesthetic and value for money. I always have a great time here! Such an amazing atmosphere and the food is always so simple and tasty. Much recommended
Have been to zedel for few times , never received a welcoming service , otherwise the food and ambiance is very good
Excellent evening and excellent meal
Long wait for order to be taken but not an issue on this occasion. French Onion soup is a bit pricey for what it is.
Great French classic food in a grand yet informal setting. Great for a celebratory outing with friends.
I have been to Zedel many times, always liked it and still like it. However, on this occasion I was rather unimpressed with the service.
We were seated 20 minutes after our booking time, the service was very inattentive, wrong starters were delivered to our table, it was a real struggle to get any waiter’s attention throughout.
So, thumb up for the ambience and the food, big big thumb down for the service!!
the service was unhelpful and slow, the food was beyond average and they overcharged me for a drink and were rude because I asked for something which they didn't understand and instead of saying they don't have it or trying they just poured it into another glass and charged me £9 for some martini rosso essentially
Good choice of food and wine at reasonable prices and we did not feel hurried
This was an excellent meal. I introduced two more people to the ornate opulence of Brasserie Zedel. Would like to see a few more exciting vegetarian items so I could bring vegetarian friends too.
I love Zedel. A perfect choice for any occasion that you want to feel a bit special.
Great service, staff were really friendly and food came really quickly in line with our theatre tickets. Highly recommended
Always a reliable restaurant with a good vibe and reasonable value for central London. The food was excellent as always. Only issue, as experienced before, was the time taken to take and deliver the drinks order. Well over 30 minutes from being seated. Food arrived very soon after the drinks arrived. Otherwise all very good with pleasant service. We will return I’m sure.
Used to be a very recommended venue of ours. However, they seem to have let their popularity diminish the quality and value. Food was bland at best (a £15 prawn and avocado cocktail could have been straight out of a supermarket, and a £20 steak tartare was bland). Service was very slow, with our starters not arriving for 1h20 minutes from arriving. However, atmosphere is still great. So just don’t expect much for your not insignificant cost (£195 for two starters, four mains, one bottle of wine and a non alcoholic cocktail).
It is always a delight going to this fantastic restaurant. The room is awesome the staff professional and the food good value.
I have dined at Zedel Brasserie on several occasions. The restaurant is stunning and the cocktails in the bar are also great. I was a little disapointed with my starter this time, I went for the lobster soup. However, the oysters before and beef bourguignon was great as always. I did find the prices seem to of gone up quite a bit since I last dined here. However, I love this beatuiful restaurant and the atmosphere is always great with the live music, I can't wait to go back again very soon! :-)
An excellent meal, as usual, in the beautiful and ornate Brasserie Zedel.
