Wellington Lounge at InterContinental London Park Lane
Jurema Terrace at The Mandrake
Used to be a very recommended venue of ours. However, they seem to have let their popularity diminish the quality and value. Food was bland at best (a £15 prawn and avocado cocktail could have been straight out of a supermarket, and a £20 steak tartare was bland). Service was very slow, with our starters not arriving for 1h20 minutes from arriving. However, atmosphere is still great. So just don’t expect much for your not insignificant cost (£195 for two starters, four mains, one bottle of wine and a non alcoholic cocktail).
It is always a delight going to this fantastic restaurant. The room is awesome the staff professional and the food good value.
I have dined at Zedel Brasserie on several occasions. The restaurant is stunning and the cocktails in the bar are also great. I was a little disapointed with my starter this time, I went for the lobster soup. However, the oysters before and beef bourguignon was great as always. I did find the prices seem to of gone up quite a bit since I last dined here. However, I love this beatuiful restaurant and the atmosphere is always great with the live music, I can't wait to go back again very soon! :-)
An excellent meal, as usual, in the beautiful and ornate Brasserie Zedel.
Beautiful decor and great atmosphere, it is as close as you can get to a French brasserie. However food and service was not right. Starters took 40mn to arrive, when served both soups were lukewarm. Mediocre choucroute. Waiters with a doesn't care attitude. The only good thing food wise was the fresh bread!
Really great venue. Excellent food and a wide range of choices and price points.
The restaurant is really nice: it feels like you’ve traveled back in time. The food is correct. The service is rather slow and on this particular visit there was a new waiter who was very rude and didn’t understand or speak english very well. All in all, the restaurant is a very “safe-bet” for those times when you want to eat good food at a nice place for a reasonable price.
As usual Zedel was an extremely nice place to eat. I have been many times and will return many more.
Authentic French dining including being abandoned by waitstaff prior to ordering dessert (we just took the check after about 15mins of waiting)
Good bistro food served in attractive surroundings
A fabulous restaurant I’ve recommended it to so many of my friends and clients. My husband particularly loves going for cocktails in the American bar before the meal, it has a very chilled atmosphere.
Vibrant without being too noisy. Food was excellent value for money and good quality. Always recommend this restaurant.
We enjoyed our lunch at Brasserie Zedel. The food was really good, attentive service and the setting is nice as well. There are reasonably priced wine options.
Zedel is a great place which I have been to often. I now avoid the set menu and enjoy the experience even more. It is rather noisy but the overall experience is good.
Really lovely meal. Did the fixed price menu and it was great. House red wine was lovely too. Will go back again.
everything was perfect, extremely quick service
Great food and a good wine list in a veryimpressive setting.
Beautiful restaurant and really nice staff. Food was delicious though the sunday special beef braise was far too small. But it was absolutely delicious. The desserts were also fantastic!
It’s always a delight bringing a new person to Zedel - they are consistently bowled over by every aspect of the experience.
Never change !
Snails over cooked and too much sauce
Oysters had lots of flaky shell
Prawn cocktail too much rich sauce
Steak tartare was poor
Good place for two friends to meet in London. Great value fixed price menu.
Amazing place, stunning decor and food also delicious and the value is amazing, defenently will come back and bring friends
Great location to celebrate a birthday. We all enjoyed it.
Buzzy atmosphere. Grand room. Good value French classics.
Brasserie Zedel is more than the sum of its parts. Its a place my wife and I love to dine at. Start wit a cocktail next door at Bar American then wander into the Brasserie which looks great and has a really lovely buzz. It really does feel like you are in Paris. The food is good - the steaks were slightly over done compared to what we asked for - and they do serve my favourite, floating islands. You do not go to Brasserie Zedel just for the food but for the whole thing - place, food, atmosphere.
Wonderful venue and food, but getting increasingly noisy!
Very good food and lovely place to eat
Very pleasant. Lovely restaurant & food excellent.
She loved it!
As always Brasserie Zedel offers great service and great quality food. I had the Fixed price menu (grated carrot, minced steak and fries) and my friend had the vegetarian omelette, everything came promptly (we were in a hurry) and everything was just right
Good food as usual, service was efficient but stiff with no smiles at all. Dessert was disappointing, made in a factory...
I've been to Zedel quite a few times and each time I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, from the food, the service and the excellent value provided. Since this is a review of my particular experience on a given day I shall have to reluctantly comment upon the unsatisfactory table we were shown to by the unhappy receptionist (Betty?), with the many available tables, we were shown to one just in front of a huge wedding reception party of 30/40 people including the inevitable toddlers/kids/babies etc.
We were moved upon request, but why oh why does this have to happen? it's quite clear that a couple would not like to be situated by a noisy table. Anyway, that's my moan, the rest of the service and food were excellent.
It never disappoints.
This place is a lot of fun. The food is a little overpriced (but good), yet I suspect you are paying for the location, atmosphere and experience - which to be fair is great!
All good except service was slow to begin with. It took time to initially order drinks and food. The service improved as the evening went on.
I love coming to this Grand Cafe style restaurant. Lunch, dinner or pre-theatre. Good food, good service and good value. I have no doubt I will be back again.
Incredible service and absolutely stunning interior. One of my new favourite restaurants in London!
Perfectly pleasant if entirely unremarkable meal. The surroundings remind me of a faded, dated grand cafe but weirdly pink and gold in places. Not my type of decor at all. Food was fine but not something to live long in the memory. Overall it was an efficient and suitable place to go for our pre-theatre meal but I won't be rushing back.
One of the best value meals in London if you go for the Prix Fixe or even the Formule options. Grand settings and pretty good French food (the place is based on a grand Parisian brasserie). However, the standard of service, (which is a major feature of its sister restaurants, the Delaunay and the Wolseley), was very hit and miss, often cold and mechanical with no warmth. The food is good, considering the price, but is quite basic (nothing particularly clever) although satisfying. This is not a place to go to if you're after 'wow' inducing dishes and culinary artistry, rather a safe bet for a fantastic price (for central London) in grand surroundings.
Very pleasant and helpful staff..efficient without being over attentive. The food was reasonable and very fairly priced particularly for that part of London. The ambiance is superb..the whole building is worth a visit and the Brasserie is a delightful place to meet friends for a meal.I have lunched here several times and have noticed that it is a place where ladies meet without feeling out of place.Highly recommended.
