Super as always :-)
Dinner was lovely but we had been seated by the stage despite having booked several weeks in advance. When the band started we had to leave as we couldn't hear ourselves speak :(
We went for a birthday lunch. From arriving to departing the service was so nice, the birthday girl felt very special. The food was so nice, the atmosphere was cheerful, if a little noisy but to be expected with the height of the ceilings. Would definitely go again.
Fantastic setting great service and food Look forward to my next visit there
Great ambiance. There was excellent live music. Will return.
This is my second visit but my first to the basement. The restaurant is quite impressive and very reminiscent of Parisian bistros, with closely packed tables, huge amounts of noise and activity. However, don't expect an intimate conversation. Our neighbour who happened to be French struck up an interesting conversation and that is one of the charms of this type of bistro dining. On the food side, it was average. I had roasted pheasant but came in pot roast with winter vegetables. The meat was not as tender as i would like but quite acceptable. Service was alittle slow not surprisingly, but when you got the waiter's attention was quite prompt. It was a nice experience but not sure I will return
Great place, like the ambiance
First class as ever
Superb value for money in Central London.
Always fabulous. Great atmosphere, food and service. Thank yoy
POSTO PIÙ UNICO CHE RARO ATMOSFERA BELLISSIMA PERSONALE GENTILISSIMO DA TORNARCI SEMPRE !
Consistency across the board. Straightforward brasserie food well done and made special by extra touches such as specially baked bread, great cafetiere coffee, freshness of ingredients. Customer service always good and welcoming. If the rare mistake happens, put right promptly with a smile. One of my favourite places in London.
Family loved Brasserie Zedel, food was very good.
Lovely meal in this stunning venue
Zedel is one of my favourite places in London - it's always a great night out with excellent food and service.
Great authentic French brasserie in the heart of London - very reasonable as well
Early evening, New Year's eve. Restaurant was busy, but not overly so. A few delays getting drinks, menus and then some bread. My partner liked the formulae meal, and we both enjoyed the coffee and petit fours. I was a bit disappointed that the herring starter turned out to be smoked, but menu did not make this clear.
Good food and service,
Solid. As usual.
Besides the fact the waiter disappeared for 30 mins and we had to find an alternative one, it was ok. He then took our plates whilst one of us were still eating their meal.
Disappointing that the amazing roast chicken isn’t a staple on the menu and always on offer; The dish we actually booked to enjoy there.
I have reviewed BZ many times and today was no different, good value for money, decent food, staff were very good and the ambience is fine. I wasn't so keen on the bar in the foyer though, a bit dark and service was indifferent as only one bartender was on. I'll probably go back as it ticks all the boxes.
I booked for my partner’s birthday, he really loved the experience
Good service, nice food
Beautiful ambience. Quality of food and service was very good. Enjoyed our meal very much.
Generally good & the room and ambience lovely as usual but the vegetarian option - omelette & chips - was v poor: a spartan plate of not very much food.
Wonderful experience as per - great for a special occasion or a quick meal out
Delicious food: French onion soup and steak hache both fabulous. Great music and mostly excellent service.
Food excellent and service good. Ambience really lovely with lots of live music. The bill was small but they somehow managed to add a second bottle of wine on. I realised and it was amended but no apology offered.
The atmosphere was nice but it was too loud in the restaurant. The seats are very squeezed and narrow. Wasn't really comfortable to sit. Service was average. The waiter maybe had too many tables at the same time and didn't give as much attention. Food is okay.
Not sure if the pre-Christmas rush had an effect on the quality of our visit? It did not compare to our previous visit. The food was not up to scratch for the price being charged. Sorry.
The star of this restaurant is the space--really splendid and impressive, and fun to eat in. The prices are relatively low, and the quality at the price point is good. There is much better French food in London but you'd pay much more for it. Since it is relatively cheap, the clientele are quite budget-conscious in the way they dress etc. So if you like to dress well--in any sense--to go out for a good dinner, you'll be surprised at how many people there don't really care to dress for a night out at an attractive restaurant, or don't know how, or don't have the wardrobe. Beautiful space filled with a lot of cheap-looking clients. No-one seems to perceive the blatant contradiction. In any case, the value is excellent. That's why they go. My other London restaurants this trip were pricier and attracted a quite different-looking clientele.
Took my wife in here for her first time. She really enjoyed the busy atmosphere and general experience. The food is really tasty with a wide range of food, from meat and fish to a separate vegetarian menu and from a very reasonably priced set menu to more expensive main courses. My wife had the set menu of grated carrot and the chopped steak and I had the haddock Monte Carlo, both of which we would recommend. The service was excellent. Very attentive but not in your face. House white wine is delicious as well. Would recommend a reservation
It is really THE Brasserie in London!
I find it strange that you don’t serve expresso or cappuccino just filtered coffee for such a large restaurant- I don’t know of any big restaurants that don’t have this machine!
Lovely atmosphere but food nothing special. Food was very cold.
