Some items on the menu, such as the octopus and prawn, were good however overvalued for the cost/portion ratio. The service was fast just wish our waitress had a clue ab the menu without having to constantly ask in the back. The restaurant is one of the better options in the St. Katherine’s Dock area but as far as Spanish restaurants there are much better options in London.
Good food nice atmosphere great setting. Beef roll and the octopus were delicious!
This was my second visit, a lot quiet and earlier but still a great ambiance. The food was superb again but I have to say my favourite thing was the Larios Rose gin cocktail! Will definitely be back !
We are visiting London and staying at St. Katherine Docks. We always enjoy tapas so Bravas Tapas seemed like the perfect choice and it was nearby. What a great decision on our part! This restaurant is cozy and lively (yeah, it can get really loud). The food was excellent, the service was fast, the prices were reasonable for good ingredients.
With 3 of us, we tried a wide variety of the menu. The lamb chops were my personal highlight while my wife loved the gazpacho (in a really visually eye-catching brandy snifter on its side). My niece really appreciated the octupus. The Brava potatoes were wonderfully crispy and the serving dish separated out the sauce from the potatoes (keeping them crispy longer).
We weren't as impressed with the sliders (a bit overdone for my taste), and the pork belly could stand to be cut into smaller servings (it was delivered in three BIG squares that are too large for most people to chew). The cheese selections didn't impress me either (though the crispy toasted bread and the roasted pepper served along side were both wonderful). I'm not really a fan of Spanish cheeses though. Overall, the food was outstanding.
It was very loud in the restaurant on a Thursday night and we appreciated the place more as people started to leave. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and we had a nice discussion about the food and wine.
I will finish with dessert. We ordered the whole selection. To me, the Torrija was the stand-out of the whole meal. The pairing of the crispy custard with passion fruit ice cream is just an amazing pairing. The macerated strawberries won for visual presentation with a foaminess surrounding the white chocolate in the center. My wife liked the almond cake the best, but didn't care for the raspberry sorbet it paired with.
All in all it was a wonderful evening and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Very enjoyable meal entertaining clients fairly informally. Excellent dishes with unusual flavours and combinations (prawns and horseradish). Staff offered some flexibility - a little busy with others and some odd rules about needing to be sat at a table when outside (which may be something to do with the marina). Great views and atmosphere, and feels a relaxed and a long way from the bustle of Tower Bridge. Wines were great. Desert not the best - but pretty much everything else, super.
Had a superb lunch here on a weekend break. Staff were friendly and attentive. Best brioche pudding ever!
Absolutely wonderful place overlooking the marina. Small tapas dishes each can be shared by three and absolutely delicious. A must go!
Very good and original food. Nice service. The place was full though, you need to book. Service rather fast for the number of tables. The place is a bit noisy. Food very well presented and tasty. Good value for the price. Although, wine is pretty expensive. We found the 12,5% service charge a bit too much.
Overall I would say 4/5 stars.
the food was great the service was a little slow and sporadic.
We were a big fan of this place for many years, but this time we were really disappointed by the poor quality of their service. After they took the first drink order, the drinks were not served for over 20 min, and we have to remind them a couple of times. After our first glasses, we order the same wine, which didn't come for another 20min, and we were sitting on our empty glasses. After the first round of tapas, we asked to show their menu again to order some more food, but we had to ask for it for 3 times but waiters never brought it, so my husband had to walk to the bar counter to pick it up. Then, we asked them to take some order, but they didn't come for more than 30 min, so we decided to leave the restaurant. We asked for a bill, and calmly mentioned we were disappointed about their service, then the guy talked us back (!) with all sorts of excesses ranting about how busy they are because of Saturday night (we know they are always busy - that night wasn't exceptional - that's why we booked our table 2 months in advance! Saturdays are always busy anyway, so hire more people!), service can be slow on such day even for Michelin-star restaurants (!?) etc etc, and in the end, SHOUTED to our face " Ask us to remove the service charge, if you want!" (!!!) ... Is he ordering us??? It was simply appalling. The food is truly great and we loved the restaurant for a number of years, but we will never come back again. DISSAPOINTED FROM HEART.
We booked a table for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we got there we was rushed from start to finish. We wanted a really nice night considering it was a special occasion. We had ordered and eaten within 30 minutes. And then felt like we wasn't welcome after that so left. The food was absolutely awful. The only nice dish was the pork belly but everything else was inedible, the seabass was disgusting and tasted funny and me and my husband woke up the next day with a dodgy stomach. Will not return even if we was paid to.
Absolutely first class tapas - delicious. Great selection of food and wine. There are a few tables outside which are lovely for a summer lunch or early supper sitting looking at the marina. Inside is very pleasant too - they have extended the dining area since I was last there about 18 months ago which has improved the acoustics.
Outstanding food as always, this place never disappoints.
Excellent restaurant, excellent friendly staff, excellent food... All round 5* restaurant!! We love it here
Thanks to the owner and friendly wife for another great night! We won’t leave it so long to re visit! X
Simply spot on!
Ticked all the boxes and left hubby and parents impressed.
Will definitely become one of our most favourite in London
Overall love this place, my only criticism is the price for drinks! £32 for 4 drinks is a bit steep! Food is lovely though and service good xxxx
lunchtime business meal for 3, excellent service and an interesting menu, we chose plenty of sharing platters and they timed delivery to perfection so that no more than two dishes on the table at any one time
great location in St Katherine Dock, great architecture and décor, great buzz, awesome staff and service - all with smile and some great Spanish wines from affordable to wild.
Oh and the food - it was above expectation - you should go, you'll enjoy it!
The waitress were helpful in explaing the dishes available and advising on the quantities which it would be appropriate to order.
We were a group of 6 and wanted to share all the dishes and decided to try ordering 12 items. This worked well and we managed some excellent desserts after.
Absolutely amazing food with such taste too.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience a fantastic twist on Tapas unlike anything I’ve had before.
Thanks for making the experience so memorable.
Enrique the manager was very attentive and further to the specialness of the occasion came over and spent 10 minutes with us both at the end of the evening.
He gave us a window table as I had requested in my email in advance of our booking.
Was a very warm host and we will be going back to see him in the future.
Amazing food, but terrible service. We had to send a dish back as it was cold... it wasnt replaced and the waiter simply said 'I like it like that'.
Highly reccomend the tuna cevice... but dont go if you get annoyed by slow service and rude staff
Very welcoming staff and happy to spend the time explaining the menu. Food was outstanding, good size portions and just kept arriving as it was ready so was always a great temperature. The quality of ingredients shines through in the delicious taste of all the offerings and of particular note are Sliders, Lamb Chops and the Pork Belly.
The dining room itself is cosy with plenty of booths and also some nice tables overlooking the dock. The open kitchen and cooking activity adds to the vibrancy of the location but this is tempered by the layout a little to give a great balance between calm and relaxed with a backdrop of interesting authentic tapas preparation activity.
Well worth a visit.
By far favourite restaurant in London- love bringing people here!
We were three adults and a child meeting for a casual lunch. Food was tasty and well presented. We had a great time. Will visit again.
Great food in a relaxed environment
First night of outside service this summer as well as inside, staff working super hard and did a great job. Been here about 4 times over the past two months and I think it’s about time to change the menu a bit!
Good tapas, nice view of St Katherine´s Dock, fair prices.
Service was great barring the desire to constantly top up your glass, but once stopped all was fine. Food was fantastic and would certainly recommend! Great atmosphere and feel to the place whilst also in a great location!!
Fantastic food with friendly, welcoming service. Would definitely go again
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. The staff were warm and friendly, helpful and attentive. Lovely food and a great atmosphere. Will come again.
Had a fantastic time at Bravas. The staff very friendly and attentive to your needs. The food was amazing gave me a food high and the cava was just perfect. Please try the salmon the look on my friends face and the tear of joy she spilled was priceless. All the food was delicious I'm planning my next visit already. If you haven't been you will not be disappointed.
As usual food was lovely and the host moved us to a nice round table when a booking cancelled. Tables for 2 are very tight however!
The food was exquisite, well prepared and the flavours complimented each other. The best tapas we all had tasted. I took 'Foodie' friends of mine from Canada and it is the best meal they had all week as well as the best meal they have had throughout their travels. The service was impeccable and staff really friendly and accommodating. It is a gem in St. Katherine's Dock - we will definitely be back soon. Thank you for the wonderful food, wine and service.
It was quite remarkable experience and I did not expect that at all! It was brilliant, and the food was simply exquisite. Each tapas brought different taste, aroma, texture, perfectly made..and the deserts were simply beautiful. We were a party of 5 friends and we all have agreed that it will be very difficult to match it - if at all. Thank you so much for making my day!
Stunning food which is always impressive, beautiful setting, reasonably priced wine for quality. Lovely service.
Bravas Tapas has delicious tapas - particularly the fish and seafood. The house red wine is superb. The staff are really attentive and the setting really lovely. Will definitely go back again.
Fantastic food, lovely service and warm atmosphere. We loved it and will definitely return!
Great atmosphere, very busy, cosy candle lights, food was superb as was the wine!
