What Insiders Are Saying
Brawn in Shoreditch might be one of the city’s best neighbourhood restaurants. One that might even make you want to change neighbourhoods.
Amazing food, wines and atmosphere as always! One of my favorite restaurants in London!
I was very sceptical booking this restaurant. The reviews were generally good but also some were bad, particularly about service. For me, they couldn't be more wrong. The service was excellent from start to finish. We were at the table for over three hours and were never rushed. Always people available to help and our main server was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel special. The food options are all excellent and it was a case of choosing what not to have. Sharing small plates to start is definitely good advice. Wine list is long but there are plenty of options under £40 which is great. The dining room is loud an buzzing. we were in the area overlooking the kitchen which for me is the best part to be in. Can't recommend this restaurant enough and to top it off, the prices are entirely reasonable.
We love Brawn. Great food, great service, unpretentious, always a treat.
You see that all the crew is committed to give you a great experience!
Friendly, helpful staff. Yummy food (my only suggestion is that the cod dish needed a bit more flavour), great service, lovely ambience, buzzy vibe. Would definitely go again!
A fav in the neighbourhood. Love the food, service and ambience. We try to avoid dinners (cause very noisy) but launches are great!
Hits all the high notes. Great location, lovely staff, and fantastic food. What more could you want.
A very nice restaurant with a lot of different dishes. Mostly very locally produced. Good pricing.
Wonderful food, wine and service. It was perfectly paced and we'll definitely be back!
The food on offer was thoughtful, nicely presented and great tasting. Watching the team work in the kitchen as we ate was a treat too.
Loved everything about Brawn. Ultimate favourite.
Almost everythinv was super good, especially the Cod. Only dishes that were so-so were the deserts. And their wines are a bit particular, but that’s of course really dependant on your taste. Overall great place with nice decor, friendly service and delicious food
I love this restaurant, it never disappoints food wise and the staff are brilliant. The wine list is extensive but the staff are happy to help with great recommendations. I've only ever eaten in the back room but the atmosphere throughout the entire restaurant is spot on, buzzy without being too loud.
Food, Wine, lighting, music
Allllways an amazing time
Food a pleasure. Our waiter was a wonderful woman from Canada. Good vibes all around. Thank you
A lovely restaurant interior. Food is priced appropriately given how high quality it was - really good Italian leaning menu. The service we received was great. Would recommend and certainly return.
Always great food and excellent wine. The menu rotates but not overly so, which is important because we have many favorite dishes. The staff, whom we've gotten to recognize and know, are consistently wonderful. They can inform equally well on the plethora of lovely wines as on the menu. It's one of our absolute favorite local spots.
Traveling from the states, I felt well taken care of. The staff are amazing and made me feel at home after coming off a ten hour flight. Killer vinyl collection and great natural wine list. Food was fantastic as well.
Really great overall experience. We chose 7 dishes to share and they were all super tasty, beautifully plated, fresh and fun. Service was also spot on. Any questions were answered confidently and with charm. I’ll be back soon.
Absolutely couldn’t fault the experience. Perfect food, service and pace. First time here and can’t wait to come back.
We had a lovely lunch celebrating my partner's 30th birthday, the staff were friendly, knowledge and attentive without being overbearing and the food was delicious. I consistently recommend Brawn to friends as a fantastic restaurant
Absolutely brilliant food, great wine list and fantastic service - helpful, friendly and knowledgable staff.
We cannot fault the food, everything was absolutely delicious. The highlight was the asparagus with egg yolk and walnuts which so good my husband ordered another portion. So pleased to have homemade drinks offered too, as while I enjoy alcohol I can't tolerate much, the ginger beer was delicious, as were the wines by the glass. Staff all very knowledgeable and helpful a real neighbourhood gem.
An absolute gem of a restaurant in every aspect. In my top 5 favourite London restaurants
Excellent food. Service just a titch slow. Fairly priced and interestingly curated wine list
Very nice local spot with an exciting menu and outstanding food.
Really nice (natural) wines list, tasty food & high quality service.
Really friendly staff!
Great food, great service, and brilliant wine choice, quite expensive. Very cold inside!!!
Absolutely loved it. I'd say the mains are on the pricey side for what they are, but a really lovely evening.
We went there for my husband’s bday after having it recommended by a friend. We really didn’t enjoy it. The restaurant was super noisy, the menu layout is not clear and if you want to charge your clients for the service maybe service shouldn’t just be: get the order, serve the food, take a payment! Charging £6 for a tiny plate with few slices of sausage on it is also quite surprising.
I would rather call it a pub then a restaurant.
Delicious but incredibly loud for an afternoon. Great food and wine selection.
everything was great except the table was only available for us from 7 to 9 so we didn't have time to finish the dinner in a normal relaxing way. Considering the prices and level I think the limited time should be discussed at the time of booking
The food was fantastic and quite original, cooked to perfection. All the flavours were very clear and complemented each other perfectly, and every dish had a touch of reinvention and original approach that made the experience very interesting. All ingredients felt remarkably fresh
Not a cheap restaurant, but in my opinion quality, service and care for the food and customer well justified the price.
A note in particular for the service, that was always attentive and precise without ever being invasive. Free tap water, sparkling and non, was always replaced once finished, and advice on plates and availability was provided while engaging with the customer in a pleasant way.
I wasn't honestly impressed by the wines available on the glass/caraffe, i think they lacked the taste and character that the food had in abundance, and so felt a bit undermined. I didn't try the wines by the bottle in this occasion, where the choice looked better and more adequate.
Overall, a splendid experience that I am looking forward to repeat soon
Absolute exceptional meal. One of the best I’ve had in the past year.
As always Brawn was great. It is one of our favourite places in London. The food is outstanding, the wine is delicious and the service is fantastic. Always great to come back.
Birthday at Brawn. Amazing as always.
Lovely evening with great food and very good wine list, mostly organic, natural and orange. Will come again.
Really loved the ambiance and a little magical Hide-away. I can’t wait to return there to try more of the menu
Back again after 1+ years and still as lovely as I remember it to be. Staff were helpful & professional, ambience was lovely & we had a nice view of the open kitchen, and the food was excellent — especially the turbot, simply spectacular! Also, can I get some of that butter to take away the next time please?
