Brawn opened in late 2010 to great critical acclaim receiving 5 stars from Fay Maschler in the Evening Standard, and a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2011.
What Insiders Are Saying
Brawn in Shoreditch might be one of the city’s best neighbourhood restaurants. One that might even make you want to change neighbourhoods.
Everything was great — the service, food and surroundings. Best meal in a long time. We will be back...
The food was amazing and our server was lovely, friendly and attentive. It's a really cosy place - great for a long lunch.
Really fab first trip to Brawn. Will definitely go again. The only thing I would say is that I wouldn’t have the tiramisu again, personal preference though.
The best meal we've had in absolutely ages. Familiar flavours with innovative touches. Great balance and combinations.
The food we ordered was absolutely delicious. Our server was extremely attentive, polite and knowledgeable. We asked for a couple of the menu options and she was able to describe them in detail, which helped us making a good choice. Absolutely worth a visit, or two.
It’s a little out of the way but well worth the trip. Prices for the food were reasonable but the wine is overpriced. Every course was near perfect. Worth flying to London just to dine here
The food is reliably interesting and delicious, with seasonal produce and creative dishes. Very friendly, attentive service - feels like the best version of 'home'!
Amazing service. Great place. Great food. Wonderful service
Fabulous food, nice service and food atmosphere. Really like the slightly unusual food. Wines are hard to pick and advice not always great but it’s a small point . Highly recommend
Great place. Great food. Great service. Great vine. Great everything. Will spread the word!
This was my second visit and this time I choose it as the place to celebrate my husband's birthday. It didn't disappoint. The vibe is buzzy and lively, the staff were excellent and the food just wonderful.
Fantastic food and service, one of my favourite restaurants in London. Excellent!
Wonderful meal - all quite delicious - simple seasonal and lovely - great staff great vibe
Outstanding as usual. The food quality is unbelievable
This is not what I’d call a child-friendly restaurant - in a good way - in that it’s totally grown up and smart sophisticated and all that jazz, but we were made to feel so incredibly welcome with my two year old (who we brought for dinner as soon as they opened at 6pm) that it says a lot about the generous nature of the place. The staff were as knowledgeable and thoughtful and applied as ever and the atmosphere and food were both delectable. A wonderful meal, as always.
Best restaurant I have been in London since I moved here 5 months ago. I absolutely loved the food (on Sundays they serve a set menu which is very affordable) and the wine references were excellent. Also one of us is Gluten intolerant and they made the relevant accommodations so that we could all taste the different plates. Our waitress was also very attentive and mindful of my friend’s needs. Would absolutely recommend it and I can’t wait to go there again.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant fantastic wine list
Lovely food and nice relaxed service. interesting wine list.
The restaurant has a nice energy which combined well with two work colleagues in a relaxed evening of work and friendship. Nice!
A wonderful meal. Out the four of us, two were vegetarian (well one was pescatarian). Our server brought over a selection of dishes to start making sure all dietary requirements were covered and we were all well catered for. Main courses were excellent, as was the wine.
Really good lunch. Not sure the low/zero sulphur wines work but I didn't try all of them and trends are trends😁
Delicious food served by wonderful staff in a restaurant with a great atmosphere. So many delicious things to eat with a great selection of wines.
This is an absolute gem. The service is attentive and friendly and the dishes are unique, yet simple. Delicious!
Really good food with a fantastic atmosphere. Service matches the ambience very well - a little bit chaotic and full speed, and to be honest I loved it that way. Will definitely come back!
Best i had in London over the past years. Amazing food and wine with a friendly and quality service. Can’t wait to be back!
The food is absolutely incredible! The focus is on fresh, seasonal ingredients and simple dishes done to perfection. Hands down the best mozzarella I’ve had outside Italy. The service is friendly and the setting is very chill. 10/10
One of our favourite Sunday lunch spots in London. Consistently amazing food and always a really lovely afternoon.
Cracking three course Sunday lunch! Dessert was amazing and fantastic service!
Lovely little place in Columbia Road, great/cosy atmosphere and stunning food - try the ravioli! they'll simply blow your mind off! Friendly staff and very good experience overall - I'll definitely repeat soon!
Simple and really well designed menu, delicious food and friendly but excellent service - a great venue for a weekend treat.
Warm, tasty spot right on Columbia road to catch-up with a friend. Attention to detail and layered flavours. The Turbot and broccoli were a fave. Researched and interesting low intervention focused wine list.
Always delicious and well executed. Wine list is solid and can be quite adventurous if you desire. Very very rarely disappoints, which is why we keep going back.
Except the delicious food, the wine list is just wonderful.
Wide range of organic wine.
The best neighborhood restaurant in London! This place has the atmosphere, attentive service, diverse menu, excellent cooking and very best wine.
Brawn never disappoints. Great wine selection and delicious seasonal small plates expertly prepared!
Totally delicious. Fixed menu allowed for great conversation without the usual prevarications. Extensive wine list, with knowledgeable staff able to speak to any of our questions at great length. Beautifully cooked food - sprats in the lightest coating of batter, a more tender pork collar than I've ever had before. Total flexibility with the menu for the vegan in our party (whose meal was also reportedly delicious). A great afternoon option, with the atmospheric lazy relaxation of a Sunday lunch.
Lovely dinner! Staff were welcoming and explained the menu. Food was delicious, seasonal and fresh!
basically the best neighbourhood restaurant in East London . Should have a star by the end of the year !
From the warm welcome at the door to our extremely knowledgeable waitress, the staff at Brawn are excellent.
It was really great seasonal food - I had the purple sprouting broccoli to start, a seasonal vegetable elevated to centre stage, it was delicious, if only vegetables were always treated with such care and attention! My husband had the oysters, fresh traditional delicious he said. I had the turbot with chanterelles, mussels & vin jaune, turbot is my favourite fish and this didn't disappoint. My husband had the sirloin, radicchio, gorgonzola & walnuts both main courses were beautifully presented and super tasty. For dessert we shared the dark chocolate, olive oil & sea salt and tiramisu both disappeared very quickly. We noticed some tables were sharing dishes, which is great and avoids difficult choices.
We were guided by our waitress to some glasses of wine that matched our different food choices.
Excellent value for money.
Starters were amazing. Mains a little disappointing.
