Some of the ppl here seemed a little pretentious but the food was great
Late lunch. Fantastic price for a quality dish and a dinner size portion. Delicious!
Have been here a few times before and enjoyed it. This time was different. I think our waitress was maybe overbooked, as getting her attention was a challenge to get get the check, order another glass of wine, even get water. Seating was fair, semi uncomfortable. Meals were very good. Probably give it one more try eventually.
Food was average, plates were expensive, service was intermittent and rushed. My hopes were high based on the recommendations of some friends but the end result was disappointing.
Since the nearby Max Amore closed, I've been looking for a place to fill that niche of delicious Italian. Unfortunately Bricco just wasn't that.
Things started off well, we had the ricotta as an appetizer and it was delicious. However, service was rushed and it felt like the waiter was rushing by when he could get to us. I had the baked rigatoni with peas and my wife had the Cavatelli Napoletano - unfortunately neither of us were satisfied. Her meal seemed to be 90% meat and 10% pasta, while mine suffered from an unfortunate blandness. There was just nothing about it aside from the cheese that covered it to really elevate it.
I don't know if this will be our last time at Bricco - the recommendations have been such that I am sure it will get another chance. But I'm sorry to say my expectations will be lower next time.
Food was great, timely and service was top-notch
Food was great, didn’t take long, worth the price
I thought the food would be better having been to Bricco's before, but the chicken parm was a bit tasteless, lacking flavor. The server was excellent and the interior is quite nice. Maybe they ran out of spices before we arrived?
Great food for Valentines Day
Great as usual. Briccos never disappoints
The chicken cutlet sandwich and the meatballs were both fantastic.
A retirement party
All the food ordered came in a reasonably amount of time ..and was delicious ... our server was very attentive, checking on us periodically but not over salacious ...good night and good food ...
no matter where you sit, VERY loud. if you are looking to have a conversation you will be basically yelling.
My husband and I have been going to Bricco’s Trattoria for years, always ordering and enjoying every Italian dish they serve. This week he decided to mix it up and ordered the ribeye with truffle butter. I decided to follow his lead as I wasn’t really in the mood for Italian and ordered the filet. Well, let me tell you! Our steaks were on par if not better than the high end steak restaurants in the area. ! We both weren’t expecting it but they were absolutely delicious! High quality cooked to perfection! Bottom line, if you want steak here, don’t be intimidated. You won’t be disappointed!
I had a great lunch. Once our server received my payment, I never saw him again. My friend and I continued to sit there at least another 30 minutes and I would of loved a coffee or water refill but we never saw our server again. Disappointing.
Great food great atmosphere would definitely come back again
The waitstaff was not attentive. She waited on a table that came in after us first and took about twenty minutes to even come over to our table. We were starving so it definitely was annoying. The food however is always amazing. Thank you.
Spectacular service!! Our waiter was fantastic; thx you!!
The food is always good!
Recently something changed. Aside from always good pies, food is very average, declined quality and bland. Octopus was overdone and rubbery and not eatable at all. Pastas had some new unappetizing bitter smell and taste. New kitchen staff?
Outstanding food, average service.
Several friends have recommended Bricco and I had yet to try it. It’s a nice, casual spot catering to all - families, young & older couples and a friends night out. The menu offered a variety of options. I’d definitely return to try something else.
Excellent food and service. I’ve been here a couple of times now and have been very pleased with the food, atmosphere, and overall experience. Recommend making reservations as it gets busy at times.
Majority of seating is very tight. Tables and booths for two are much too small to hold food, wine, etc.
Happy hour/bar noise is really overpowering for nearby diners. Difficult to have a dinner conversation. Food is very fresh and appetizing. Good wine list.
Overall, our experience was favorable. Service could have been better/more attentive.
Overall fantastic meal and service. The grilled Octopus was delicious for appetizers. Never had a bad meal at Bricco. Highly recommend with friends or family.
Birthday lunch! Love the Kale salad and my sister had the lobster grilled cheese that was wonderful! Great service, always a good experience!
Wonderful food and great service. Exceptional ambiance.
Great food, love the ambiance!
Everything was outstanding! We always love dining at Bricco..
I went for NYE and they were out of several different main items, side dishes and bread. We started with the sliced prosciutto, which was delicious. My husband and brother-in-law both had the rib eye steak which was overcooked. The meat was not even close to the medium rare that they both ordered. My sister got the roasted chicken, which was excellent. I had the pasta dish with sausage and chicken ground up into the sauce. The sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can of spaghetti o’s. It was inedible. The waitress was super throughout all of this and apologized profusely. She made sure that our desserts and coffees were comp’d and gave us a $25 coupon to use for the future. I adore the Bricco in West Hartford. The only reason I will go back to the one in Glastonbury is to use the coupon on the roasted chicken. Would never go back for a special occasion or a holiday.
New Years eve
The service was poor again in a span of 4 days. I think Bricco’s will be falling out of our rotation of restaurants for a while. We will check back in 3 months to see whether they have cleaned up their act.
Server didn’t seem to want to work, but food was goood.
The fryer was broken, so a lot of the menu wasn’t available
Romantic seating at a bistro table in the bar area with great food & drinks!
we had a reservation and thus were seated immediately- the waitress came right over and explained a few menu items to us (we asked). When our entire party was there it took a while for her to return to take our order. I thought the food took a bit long to arrive and some of it was no longer hot- barely warm BUT everyone was very happy with the taste and the quality of the dinner items. As restaurant price go, I think the prices are fair. We stayed and chatted for a while with no pressure to leave- that was nice!
Everything we had was very good but at 6:30 pm they were out of all our first choices!
Bricco’s has fallen on hard times for sure , it used to be one of our favorite restaurants. The food is cold and the service is poor. The server was more interested in the football game on tv than he was in us. Also, it seemed every time he came by our table I could not get a word in edgewise.
