Brick Farm Tavern
Our farm takes a genuine approach to sustainable farming; raising and pasturing our animals including pigs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks and goats on 800 acres in the Hopewell Valley creating a truly authentic farm-to-table dining experience in an 1800s Hopewell farm house.
The bar features local craft beers, artisan cocktails & wine tastings with Troon Brewing and Sourland Mountain Spirits located right on the premises.
We invite you to join us and experience our dining and cocktail menus based upon the very best ingredients this region has to offer.
We had the most amazing lunch at Brick Tavern on Friday 3/13. With all the craziness going on, it was a nice welcoming atmosphere to get away from the mayhem! Our waitress was incredible and had answers for all our questions. We started by sharing appetizer tamales and a cheese board. My monkfish tacos were so tasty. That is what I like about this place. I've had fish tacos a million times but these were unique. And because the fire alarm happened to go off while we were there, we were offered a free round of drinks! And they know how to do a wine pour! I heard about Brick Tavern from my son who used to live in Princeton. For his going away party this past October (he moved to Houston) we had a table of 10 for dinner. Like lunch, the service was fantastic. If you want a wonderful environment, tasty and unique food, and great wine you should go to Brick Tavern.
Awesome food drinks and service !! 100% recommend. Will be coming back for sure
Perhaps the best in this area
Went for Sunday Brunch and it was delicious as always! I don’t remember our servers name but he has a bunch of tattoos and he was amazing! He knew all the ins and outs of the menu and was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!
Sommelier is incredible. Found the perfect wine to pair with our meals. The food was and has always been incredible.
Top notch--the food, the beer, the service, the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
too much recall for reservation, annoying. not a good value. food average,
Awesome craft beer and delicious food. Great atmosphere with an upscale vibe but casual experience.
The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the food took a disproportionately long amount of time to bring to the table. We waited nearly 35 minutes for a cheese plate and another 35 minutes for a bowl of soup.
Food and service were both great - we will definitely come back again!
Amazingly friendly staff, a menu that excels in both taste and presentation, and the best taplist in the state.
Food has become very "fancy" looking. Like the bar side food better, not fancy looking and still very good.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with two other couples. It was a beautiful evening. Great food, cocktails, and wine 🍷
I can't wait to go back.
food , drinks and service are spectacular.
Absolutely delicious! We did the Chef’s tasting and I would never do anything else. Every dish was better than the last. The only negative I could say (at the risk of sounding old) is it was a little loud in there. Other than that it was all amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
Food was terrific, ambiance was pleasant with the dining room comfortably appointed.
Service was attentive without being obtrusive.
Pricey but well worth it for a special occasion.
This was my second dinner experience at Brick Farm Tavern and much unlike the first. I was disappointed because I had invited close friends to dine with my husband and myself and wanted it to be a good if not great experience. First of all there was one fish option as a main and a measly scallop small plate option which could be doubled up as an entree. My disappointment is that they gave my friend the 4 measly scallops for $32, this is unacceptable!!, atleast a side of greens or something would have been nice. My fish was good though and the others enjoyed their meals bit their portion sizes are small especially for their fish options. If you are a meat eater this may be a place for you but not us pescatarians!!
Absolutely fantastic. Came for the beer, but the service and food quality were also first rate.
Really memorable experience, with Chelsea and Alex, wine mgr/sommelier, assisting our wonderful night. We got the 6 course dinner w/wine pairings. The food, atmosphere, and service was excellent.
We will be back!
The atmosphere was really nice, and felt like a colonial home. The wait staff was very professional and the valet parking was a nice addition. As far as the food was concerned, it was so delicious. We shared a cheese plate that was one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend returning.
I've been to BFT several times and the only reason I don't visit as often is the distance. Other than the portions being a bit small, it's worth it. Everything is fresh and delicious and the beer on tap is phenomenal.
We went to Brick Farm Tavern for our Valentines Day dinner, and we were so impressed. The food was absolutely incredible, the menu was creative, the people who work there are kind, friendly, and attentive, and there is no doubt that their goal is to create a high quality dining experience. The historic building itself and the atmosphere and decor only add to the enjoyment. I 100% recommend this restaurant, and I will certainly be returning.
Our experience on Valentine's Day was soured by the thoughtless front house management. Upon entering, we were led through the dining room, a pleasant space with a fireplace, rustic decor and many diners, down some stairs in the back of the room, past the restrooms and into a small, dark space called the "cellar." No other diners were there. Within the next 15 minutes two or three other couples were led to the cellar by the hostess, took one look, and turned away. We finally asked this hostess why we were seated in the cellar when we have reservations and no other diners were seated there. She had no explanation. She then sent the manager, who gave a variety of bad reasons, finally admitting that no one else wanted to sit in the cellar. This was astonishing to us. At the end of our meal, the manager returned, gave us his card and said the next time we came he would "take care of us." We have no idea what this means. He had one good chance to take care of us and failed. The service was very good and the food passable, but this unprofessional and thoughtless treatment guarantees that we will never go back to this restaurant, pay $200 for two people and be seated in the cellar by ourselves.
Love the empanadas at Brick Farm always so delicious but this time my favorite was the apple bread pudding topped with vegan brown sugar ice cream. I was scrapping the skillet.
We had a very pleasant lunch. The restaurant is quaint and lovely. Service and food was good.
Our first time there. A very pleasurable experience. Bar and dining areas had a great vibe. Service was perfect. Food was delicious. What more could you ask for.
A real gem that you should try. Their farm to table philosophy truly shines. Every dish we tried was very good.
My wife and I enjoyed a very nice meal this week at the Brick Farm Tavern. The evening, however, started off poorly when the hostess tried to seat us in the windowless wine cellar when the other more attractive dining rooms were also completely empty. Giving the patron the worst table in the house to start an expensive dinner is always a pet peeve of mine. Our server picked things up once we were seated and dinner was very good. My wife had an excellent maple glazed pork and I had the burger. Hopefully if we return we will be immediately seated at a nicer table to start.
The recent menu changes included leek and potato soup and oxtail ravioli. This really made a wonderful meal.
Outstanding service and the quality of the food is amazing. I love coming here!
Pork was outstanding. Tortellini dish only had 4 tortellinis and the rest was liquid and foam. Don’t know why.
The 2 small plates of pate and tartare you’re very delicious.
The tables could have a little color perhaps a sprig of Lavender or eucalyptus or some other flower There could been a large area rug where we were sitting to make the room more cozy. I will definitely be going back. Overall great food.
We were excited to try Brick Farm and immediately loved the setting when we arrived. The bar was lovely (although small) and the signature cocktail I had was delicious. We had a lovely table for two and Dan our server was quite knowledgeable and friendly. Appetizers - potato leek soup and oxtail ravioli - were wonderful but sadly my main course tortellini came out lukewarm. I don't send food back so I ate what I could. My husband's pork chop was very good and a nice size. The sides that came with the chop were minimal but very good. We didn't opt for dessert and did feel that we waited a bit longer then necessary to get the bill and then to complete the payment. The biscotti that came with the check was wonderful. I'm consider giving it another try.
Service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the food on the menu. The drinks were outstanding!!
No waiting for seating. Host accommodated our seating preference. Food was excellent. Service just a tad slow, but very gracious. Beautiful place. Highly recommend.
We love this place! My wife and I went on a recent Saturday night, and the food, wine, and setting were all excellent. The music was good too. One caveat: even when you make a reservation, you'll have to wait a bit upon arrival, as they do seem to overbook. It's happened to us twice.
Atmosphere is great. Service is spectacular, especially the knowledge of the wait-staff. Beers from Troon are awesome. Can't recommend Brick Farm enough.
Outstanding as always! Never a bad meal, never bad service, always exceeds expectations! We love it here so much
Always a lovely experience at Brick Farm; the food and service are always terrific and the craft cocktails are wonderful.
Wonderful Meal and ambiance. Entire staff was welcoming and professional. Looking forward to the next time.
