The food was not good at all. I ordered the breaded veal with Parmesan mash and creamed spinach, with tomatoes. I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and this dish was always one of my favourites, with a succulent crispy escalope and tomatoes en branches and delicious potatoes. This time a dried up clearly pre-cooked piece of leathery meat, pre- cooked tomatoe halves completely dried out, tasteless spinach and no hint of Parmesan in the potatoes. Although I was asked if I would like something else, I declined, and the £22 still appeared on the bill. A big disappointment.
Hooray for the return of the Gyoza and the Sashimi to the menu!
Great chilled evening as always lovely staff delicious wine
We had a delicious meal, friendly, helpful service. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Will come again on your next visit from Australia. Thank you.
Excellent Dunday lunch with a friend, most enjoyable, wine was lovely
Excellent Sunday lunch of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, along side delicious starter and great caramel ice cream
Friendly but not over-familiar service, good food, nice wine, great company. It doesn't get much better.
Not up to your usual high standard so disappointing. Service was slow and food average. It was very busy but no excuse!
Great new additions to the menu.
A very friendly restaurant with good service, food and staff.
As usual fantastic dinner! Our servers NAtalia and Nacho were very attentive! Food was delicious!
We had a lovely evening with friends. The food choice was good but the menu didn't seem much different to when I last came (except no Gyoza's ) Our table was in the back room and it was very dark - so much so that we needed to use the lights on our mobiles to read the menu.
I also ordered the roast cod and was advised I did not need to order any extra vegetables. However, it only came with crushed potatoes and a sprinkling of samphire so I wished I had actually ordered extra.
Absolutely fabulous. Atmosphere and food terrific
We have visited this Brinkleys for years, and I was hugely disappointed this time. The menu has changed recently and nothing on the menu really got me excited or whet my appetite.
Good service, very friendly staff. Atmosphere was dull as it was half term so very quiet.
Really disappointed and won’t be returning in a hurry, sorry!
The starter and dessert were very poor. The main course was the best course. The lighting in the restaurant and bar is lovely and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The wine list is good but the food leaves a lot to be desired.
They have changed the menu and it was delicious - the crab bisque linguine I highly recommend! Great service as always and was totally packed for a Thursday night which is always a good sign
We enjoyed a Valentine’s dinner, and found the menu perfect for the occasion, a good wine list, good ambience and very friendly staff.
Excellent all round!
Very enjoyable, shame the mains arrived a bit late. Wine is good value!
Really nice atmosphere, and food was very good. Some unusual dishes, and will definitely be back.
We had a lovely meal, excellent service and great food. Would thoroughly recommend.
A wonderful evening!
Delicious food, great and knowledgeable advice on wines, and wow, that exquisite Estonian waitress! Attentive, interesting, open minded, a winner, wherever she goes.
Felt good contact between all people there too, a pleasure really.
Lovely ambiance, muted light, comfortable table and our close friends, heavenly.
Happy in the rain...
Brinkleys never fails to let you down. The menu is consistent and offers something for everyone. The service is outstanding and attentive.
Good food - very friendly place and excellent service.
Very enjoyable evening, also 30% of of food on a Monday which was a bonus we hadn't expected. We will certainly be visiting again.
Very attentive non pushy staff. Good variety of delicious food and option of varying priced wines
Great service as always and brilliant atmosphere - carpaccio is delicious and good wine is such good value
Brinkleys never disappoints, it’s always a good night
We/I have eaten at Brinkleys many times in Hollywood Road and now in Wandsworth as I live close by.
This time the food was very average. This made us sad as in the past we have always enjoyed lunch and dinner. I was a birthday lunch for our daughter and there of her friends together with us and although it was mentioned on our reservation nothing was done for her birthday. We do not expect it but it still would have been a nice gesture. However the service was very good indeed and as always we liked the restaurant for its atmosphere and because it is a short walk from our house. We shall still come back.
It was a lovely evening. Very cosy with excellent lighting. Delicious food, very well priced wine with attentive and thoughful service. Good acoustics too! Great evening.
Well done Brinkleys.
Quality food and exceptionally quick service. Great ambience. Rather drab exterior hides a gem.
Favourite place in South West London! Great food. Great wine. Great service.
Great evening - fabulous food and very impressive service. They have 30% off on food on a Monday at the moment and that makes it excellent value!
Great as always - lovely wine and great service - -
Excellent food and service and good value wine list
Lovely evening, great food and exceptional service. Thank you Brinkleys.
A very well managed restaurant and the manager has created an environment where the staff appear to be happy, thus providing excellent service. The menu can be a little limited but the burgers are good. Perhaps there should be a little more investment in general repairs.
We were fairly regular diners on weekday lunchtimes so it is such a shame that it no longer opens, especially as the views during daylight can be enchanting.
All round good meal, great choices, food cooked really well and was very tasty. Both my husband and I had different starter, main and desert and all were great. Services was smooth and friendly.
It's always a cracking night at Brinkley's. Delicious and such a lovely team!
