Brinkley's Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
A very well managed restaurant and the manager has created an environment where the staff appear to be happy, thus providing excellent service. The menu can be a little limited but the burgers are good. Perhaps there should be a little more investment in general repairs.
We were fairly regular diners on weekday lunchtimes so it is such a shame that it no longer opens, especially as the views during daylight can be enchanting.
Lovely local . Delicious food well cooked and presented. Interesting menu. Not too fussy.
Good sensible staples . Charming staff, right balance of friendly and professional. Can't fault it really. Not cheap but good value. Chicken Gyozas, escalope, cheesecake were all absolutely yummy.
We had Sunday lunch at Brinkleys Kitchen - we started by having a round of drinks outside with the view to eating inside after, we ended up eating outside in the lovely under cover patio area. The food is always exceptional and the service was very good and friendly. Would definitely recommend for lunch/dinner/drinks.
We booked dinner at Brinkley's to celebrate a birthday. The quality of food was very good as was the service (and a good wine list). We did feel, however, that it was a bit overpriced. Would we go again? Certainly, but it would need to be for a special occasion.
I have been to this restaurant many times, and it never disappoints. The staff are incredibly helpful and very professional. The food is always good. In fact the people we took last week said that there was nothing on the menu that wasn't appealing! So difficult to make a choice. I would strongly recommend and, as a local, we are really happy to have this really nice restaurant on our doorstep.
A great evening, attentive staff who cared about the whole dining experience, not cheap but good wine, great food, great ambience; altogether one of the best evenings we have had for a while. Walked out with smiles on our faces. Fish cakes were average, the staff noticed and took the price off the bill after offering an alternative. Thank you Brinkleys.
The standard of food here is fantastic. I always forget about this restaurant being a local but have recently discovered it and am very impressed with the standard. The service is also very good, not intrusive but efficient . I would say perfect venue for lunch has the right balance of formality!
We had dinner for four, and it was not expensive. We were hard put to choose off the varied menu but two of us did have the steak since it was reduced on Steak Monday. There were 8 clean plates at the end of it, and we even all went on to have a desert, which is most unlike us! Waiiters were charming and attentive - and even charged our phone for us. Thoroughly recommended, and will visit again soon.
