Poor service, poor seating and poor ambience. We were sat by the bottom of the stairs where I don’t think a table should even be! The service was extremely slow and we were waiting at least 20 minutes at a time to get a waiter’s attention. The mains came out after the starters! The dessert menus were given and no one came back for over 25 minutes so we decided to skip this, ask for the bill and leave. The manager did remove a couple times from the bill however this wasn’t the point. Lastly, this place was full of young girls having a photoshoot for their instagram.
There was a bone in my sushi and that completely put me off, on top of that I still had to pay for it and they rewarded me with a dessert as an apology 😫
Had a lovely time celebrating my friends birthday. Pricing wasn’t bad considering the quality of food we had - which was amazing! Definitely will be returning here.
Amazing food and good service. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion or just a fancy night of dining. Best sushi ever!

I had dinner with you yesterday evening. I’m not sure if it was your regular waiting staff on or not, but almost everyone that I encountered seemed like they had no clue what they were doing. This isn’t a complaint, I just wanted to give you a bit of feedback as I was quite shocked at the service we got.
On entering the restaurant, the girls that greeted us had a conversation between each other about where to sit us and it came across like it was an inconvenience to sit us despite us having a reservation. When we were eventually seated, we started looking at the menu and were then told to move, which was weird.
The chap that then came to take our food order was quite good and seemed more experienced. The big positive was that the food was awesome. But once we’d finished eating the guy I was with wanted to order a hot drink and despite numerous requests we never received it. We just kept getting told by the girl we asked that she had to ask someone else ad they never came.
We when asked for the bill and it was like that was something that people didn’t do in restaurants. It took a really long tie for the bill to be brought to us and when I asked for the card machine to pay it was like they’d never heard of that either. Eventually I had to find the guy that took our food order and get him to bring the card machine, which he did.
Then when we went to get our coats the girls on the door were clearly understaffed as they had to seat new customers and find the coats of the customers who were leaving. That took a good ten minutes, which is a quite a while to wait to pick up a coat.
Anyway, just thought I’d share my thoughts because I found it quite shocking to go to such a nice restaurant and receive such rubbish service with the exception of the food.
Gluten-free afternoon tea was delicious.
The worst experience I have ever had
I had a lovely experience. I came here for my birthday and they made sure I felt like the birthday girl. They even song happy birthday for me. The food was okey, the sushi was the best thing we ordered.. The food didn’t took so long to come and the waiter really took his time to explain what was nice on the menu.
Thé service was very long and the staff wasnt here for us
Loved every moment of it, definitely will come back.
The service was really poor. Friendly staff but it took 20 min just to get our drinks (after ordering bottled beer only) and 40 min to get food. Every time we ordered something we had to ask several times for status. The food was tasty at least but we wouldn’t go back.
The food was amazing but the service was extremely bad
Lovely Sunday afternoon. Amazing food and professional waiters...the atmosphere was nice and we got to catch up over great food and Superb wine thank you :)
I did the worst mistake to choose this restaurant to take my partner for a date night. I had high hopes from buddha bar but nothing was met. We had to Wait quite a long time to order and I had to call the waiter to come and take our order, they didn't come to check whether we were ready to order. Upon taking the order the waiter was not very helpful he didn't recommend anything specific, whenever we asked about a dish he said 'yes its good'. I mean from a fine dining restaurant you expect waiters to have knowledge about the food and menu and what they could recommend as I have experienced this in many other restaurants even restaurants that aren't fine dining. for starters we order Prawn tempura, rock shrimp and crispy squid. The rock shrimp was decent but other than that the other 2 starters we not good, I could have easily gotten them from a high street oriental take away. for the mains we ordered pad Thai and chicken green curry. Both which were awful in taste, they didn't have any flavour neither salt or chilli. My partner only took a few bites and left the pad Thai and I managed to eat half of my green curry but left it because it was so bad. when you are visiting an expensive restaurant you expect a lot more when it comes to the food. but buddha bar really was disappointing in food. We didn't order sushi as we do not like sushi. The mocktail's were just juice and water mixed together no taste at all. Its not all about how the place looks but also what the food tastes like. Really disappointing visit and I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit here and wouldn't visit myself again.
Lovely restaurant, amazing food I will defiantly come back again
Poor food and service. The waitress would not ask how the food was, didnt present the food. Had to ask what dish was delivered to our table, and the waitress didnt know so another one came to present it. The sushi was horrible, too much rice and not tasty at all. Wouldnt recommend this place as its really expensive and the food is tasteless. The drinks are ok.
Crew were so helpful and full of energy. Quality of food were delicious and fresh. The place is highly recommended.
It was nice
I was booked in the restaurant on my birthday, but they did not give us the table that I chose and spoke to the receptionist, but she did not accept me to speak💔
The women at the front desk was very rude. Not sure how shes even in a job. Ambience was pretty dull. Food overrated. Dubai Buddha Bar is much much better.
The service was very bad but the food was good
We were disappointed on all levels. Having been to the Buddha Bar in Paris we mistakenly thought it would have the same level of food/service/ambiance.
The service was lack-luster, the clientele had a "pick-up" feel to it, the food ok but way overpriced for what it was.
Not a Christmas treat to be sure!
Overpriced, vine x 5 to shop price, service very very bad
Very good service and great food.
The restaurant is pretty decadent nowadays. The service is poor with bad waiters that are too annoyed to work, they charge for tap water and the food is terrible.I strongly don't reccomend.
We were seen in at reception being handed to 3 members of staff, all had attitude issues. When handing over our coats we asked for a ticket and we told “wait” which never came and we ended up in the Cupboard trying to find our coats. The waiters were so laid back to busy talking to each other. Every time the wine was poured it was spilt all over the table. All in all I would not go again or recommend it, there are a lot of better places to go.
The food was good but wasn’t like the usual
Reserved a table for 5 was sat at a table for 4. Asked for an appropriately sized table which were everywhere around us but were told not available. We were very cramped but made it work. The chicken pad Thai was nothing to write home about. I’ve had better at strip malls in DC. Deep fried sushi was awful. The cocktails were good. Service was subpar
Good food, cocktails were amazing. However we had to wait sometime for our food & over thirty minutes for our bill we requested for four times.
Over booked and over crowded.
Saturday night hear Christmas was very busy. Service was a bit slow. Buzzy atmosphere, good for birthday or other celebration.
Terrible service from the moment I arrived . Food arrived after an hour, they even forgot to add some items to the meal. The staff were rude and not friendly including the manager they were not willing to accommodate us to a table even though there were loads of tables to sit us on. And they almost lost our coats
Buddha Bar used to be a very good restaurant but it has cratered. Service was APPALLING aside from a single hostess who tried to help. Some of the food was good, the rest was mediocre at best. This must be the worst value for money in London. I don't know where the clientele come from these days but the most appropriate adjective is 'crude'.
