Went here to use a voucher we had been given because of a disastrous night at another branch. There are never enough staff at these restaurants, and the furniture is very uncomfortable. You have to climb out of your place to get out! Food was good though, this time. Nice and spicy...
Tasty, fast and fairly priced
Lost for words at how awful the service from the staff was. Had to ask for some plates and cutlery about 3 times and ended up having to stand up and get it ourselves. Very unfriendly staff who look like they'd rather be unemployed than working there. Wouldn't recommend this branch to anybody.
Food was fantastic but the service was not great at all. The waitress also questioned why I was 25p short for the optional service charge which I was only paying out of politeness. One waiter had been very helpful but unfortunately the others were generally rude and extremely unhelpful. I am not sure I will go back on the basis of this.
The service was very slow. We entered the building and was not greeted by anyone however just as we began to sit down a representative attended. We found that the wait to place drinks and order was also very slow. Once the food arrived there was no improvement and one of the items arrived just as we were finished therefore I requested for this to be placed in a takeaway box.
If I am honest as pleasent as the staff were I do not believe that there should of been a charge for service. The staff did not realise that the service was slow as there was no apology offered at any time.
Yummy Asian fusion food and reasonable prices. It's casual atmosphere and laid back so it's good for midday lunch and catch up. Nice cocktails although not the best I've tasted.
Have been to several busaba's and have always experienced great food and service and this time was no different. Food tasted amazing and also arrived at our table really quickly, despite it being a saturday evening. Although I usually love the smell of incense, i think there was a little too much burning and it was quite stuffy and hot inside the restaurant but apart from that it was a pleasant evening
The food is always good and the welcome is warm.
With a large work group there is something here to meet all of our dietary requirements and preferences and the atmosphere is relaxed.
There is definitely something there for everyone! The atmosphere is really friendly and the service was faultless. Recommend the squid for a starter!
As a huge fan of Busaba, it pains me to write this. It's a genious conception, wonderful food and beautiful restaurants. The King's Road Busaba was the worst I have visited, the service was abismal! I waited 30 minutes for a bottle of beer, a further 20 minutes to order more drinks as our party arrived and when the food came we received main dishes 15-20mins before being served our rice and one of the starters came when we had finished our meal. The staff were rude, ignorant and the ambience was not like other Busaba's I have visited. Oh and I emailed the head office 5 days ago about the experience and haven't even had a response yet!!!!! DEFFO VISIT BUSBA...JUST NOT THIS ONE!
I generally go to Busaba a lot but on the day I decide to introduce it to my extended family it let me down. It all started with the initial greeting by someone at the door. We had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to seat us despite several empty tables which didn't make sense. The person in the queue behind me kept on asking me why but I didn't have the answer. Once we were eventually seated and ordered our drinks the mistakes started. The drinks were not brought to the table in close proximity and my dad was waiting 15 minutes for his orange juice after we had received our drinks. Eventually we asked where it was and they said they had run out. When we ordered the food we were told that they had run out of some items as it was a busy day. Nevertheless we made our order. Next the food came excluding one of the dishes we ordered. We asked about the missing order 3 times to which the waiter replied, it's coming but it never came. We had to cancel it in the end as we had all finished our dinner. I have the busaba app on my phone so managed to pay the bill swiftly and leave. i was very disappointed as the food is nice and generally very good value. The service was a real let down and because we had young children with us made it even more frustrating.
Not a fan of the seating style - large square tables and benches with smaller groups all sat across corners - makes it very difficult to have a conversation if your neighbours are loud. Also no space for coats or bags save a couple of coat pegs at the edges of the room and no assistance offered in hanging them up - very surprising since the shared bench seating obviously makes getting up and down difficult! Food was good and reasonably priced however.
The food was very good but the place was packed and the service poor. Waiters were very friendly but customers don't know who their waiters are and we spent quite a lot of time waving to get their attention. One of our waiters was Argentinian and he was lovely but the place looks disorganised!
I love this restaurant, delicious food, good service, excellent environment.
Only that food quantity per serving just cannot fulfill even a normal woman... It's too little... I understand the concept of small dish for fine dining, but not that small, right?
Anyway, overall experience was good. Will still go if I want Thai food.
Staff were not very attentive. Waited a long time to be seen to.
No dessert menu.
Although living in the area, this is the first time I have visited this restaurant and unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed. The restaurant itself is 'OK', but very cramped, and when busy somewhat hectic.
The food itself was edible, but nothing to write home about, and seeing as it is basically a glorified Wagamamas the price was not warranted.
Won't be going again, sorry!
I love going to this place. It's a really nice place to sit and have dinner, with a good ambiance and the service has generally been pretty good too. My favourite dishes are actually the vegetable side dishes - Chinese broccoli and morning glory, but the squid and fried chicken are also particularly good.
I dined with a large group from work and we had a really relaxed and delicious meal. One of my colleagues eats here regularly and everything was great, the squid was amazing and the service relaxed and friendly
Great food at a very reasonable price for the location.
One drawback was limited spirits at the bar.. I like a good whiskey after a meal.
