The food is amazing. The tuna carpaccio is one of the best dishes I’ve had!
the food is always superb and the service is very attentive. Always my go to place for client events
Excellent service from beginning to end! I’ve been going there for years, but this is my first review for them. They really take care of you and your guests. If you provide them with special requests, they put it in their system to make sure they don’t forget. All staff are fantastic and the food is great. They are very good about recommending but there is no pressure in any way. Very professionally run and all the staff are very service oriented from check in to service to the end. Highly recommend them to anyone who wants a great restaurant experience!
Service and food was great. The service was just right and the food was great quality. I look forward to eating at Bymark again.
Mediocre overpriced food accompanied by mediocre service.
Surprise birthday dinner
Entrance not easy to find. But once inside atmosphere and food was better than expected.
The food is really good
Food and wine were awsome, great service, noise a bit high but ambiance is very nice.
Always a great meal. Shrimp tacos are a must and the tuna salad was solid and flavorful. Service as always on point.
The cauliflower gratin was very creamy with no flavor. The potatoes had too much green in them and we didn't want to finish them. The waitress was friendly but seemed to forget about us. The tomahawk steak was not med rare. Some parts were rare. For a 250 dinner, I would not go back. I had a nice time but the food was not worth it.
Spectacular evening to celebrate my bestfriend’s
We had a great meal! The Burrata and Figs was a standout for a starter. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich which was good. My co-worker had the Veal Schnitzel and it was huge, but he managed to eat it all.
Late lunch at Bymark is always a delight. This is also one of Marc McEwan’s beautiful restaurants. It’s been here as long as I can remember. And every table was taken. We had reservations.
Starting with an absolutely marvellous squash with a touch of ginger, cilantro, a few chilli peppers and a dash of tiny crumbles of bacon ... perfection in a soup. Linda had the ahi tuna, with papaya mango salad (she says OMG!), and I had the veal schnitzel with delightful house greens and a dash of some kind of incredible dressing. Insanely good! Our wine was a Blue Mountain (Okanagan) Pinot Gris we’ve never tried before. Perfect pairing for both of us!
Parking: NA. Service: 5/5. Presentation: 5/5. Ambience: 4/5. Portion Size: 5/5 Flavors: 5/5. Value: 5/5
Nice people. Forty minutes between finishing appetizers and arrival of main course. The halibut dried out, obviously kept warm while other entrees being prepared. Wine mark-up ridiculous. Stupendously expensive for what is offered up. You would get better value at the Keg.
Another great meal and excellent t service! We always have a nice time at Bymark and the food was top notch once again.
service was good, but my waiter stirred me in the wrong direction in terms of dish choice. I asked if the carbonara was any good, which he said was pretty good. I found it to be HORRIBLE. The noodles were super soft like cup of noodle noodles. And the flavor was bland instead of rich. Very disappointed and the restaurant does not live up to the expectations of being created by a renowned chef.
The food was great and the ambience was formidable. however the service could be improved. I feel there was a long delay between the main course and the dessert. The two gents who attended to are table were very pleasant though. Overall, the experience met my expectations. Thanks
I've been to Bymark in the past, but only for lunch, and I was always impressed. This time i went for dinner with my wife and while we had a great meal, I was disappointed by the incredible speed at which we were served, even though the restaurant was barely half full. It seemed that only moments after we ordered, the appetizers appeared, which to me says they were merely reheated. Main course followed at the same pace. The only thing that took a while was the wine. Overall, it was still a great meal, I just wished it wasn't so rushed when there was no apparent reason.
Really enjoyed ourselves. Good service. Food was excellent although the halibut was a little overdone. The scallops were perfect and the crab cakes were some of the best we’ve had. Make sure you have the tiramisu donuts to finish...wow! It was a quiet night at the restaurant so the vibe was just right.
The food and service were excellent. Unfortunately it was very noisy so difficult to have a conversation.
I chose a salmon and loved it but didn’t like my drinks. Service was great
Experience was great and food was very good
Tables were a bit tight to get in and out of.
Will be back.
Maybe once but only if your friend has an expense account. A burger is $40. Gimmi a break.
Every part was perfect except the tables along the walls are to close hard to have private time.
Exceptional food. On our table we had a duck, chicken, halibut and salmon and all of them were done exceptionally well from taste and presentation perspective. Excellent place for business lunch.
Dinner before Elton John concert
I had a very import client visiting from out of town and chose Bymark to keep it close by to the office and still have great food. Reservation was before 12 and it look 45 minutes to get our meal. For a venue to be in the heart of the financial district, where people are on tight schedules, this was terrible service. Our lunch was very rushed and not an enjoyable experience. I expect this kind of thing from a cheaper venue, not Bymark.
Not great for business meetings it's too noisy. tables are too far apart to talk to somebody and I had a hard time hearing anything.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The daily soup is always above & beyond. Most recently we ordered risotto, bone marrow, fish (halibut and black cod) steak and rack of lamb and everything was superb ... plus nice service wine recommendations and selection * A+
The food was very excellent, the only problem was we order too much and couldn’t finish it all.
Great place for our anniversary, my wife will be stopping by for my lunch when she downtown for work.
Initially the noise level was too high to easily converse with my companion. As the restaurant became less crowded, the noise level reduced significantly and I was able to easily converse with my companion.
Phenomenal as usual. A decadent treat.
Absolutely wonderful experience! We will definitely go back.
The restaurant itself with regards to visuals and food is good, nothing to complain about it was the service or lack of it with regards to a special request I made which makes me give a negative review of this place.
Open table allows for a section to place a special request, on special occasions I’ve always made a request to have the server bring two glasses of prosecco to the table upon seating, this is something every fine dining restaurant I’ve eaten at has been able to pull off without a hitch. Bymark completely failed to come through and didn’t bring anything, I decided to wait and see and didn’t say anything immediately. When the server came back we ordered wine and our meals.
15 minutes into our meal our wine still hadn’t even arrived as the server forgot, I had to flag down a manager to reorder our wine. They did end up apologizing about the tardiness and brought the prosecco, then also docked it from the bill but by that time the damage was done and on multiple strikes.
It was still a great evening but it’s the little things that make fine dining top class restaurants like Bymark try to project. I would not return.
We had the soup of the day that was elegantly presented, tasty and absolutely silky. Then we only had an appetizer each because we were rushing to the Opera. I had the crab cakes and my partner had the shrimp tacos on beet chips, both plates were beautifully presented and a delight to the pallet. I will definitely go to Bymark again but only on a very special occasion due to the price range.
The hamburger was superb but the salad was mediocre.
Consistently good food and service. They have done a good job at maintaining the quality that established them so many years ago.
Excellent meal, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines which was great. There was a leak in the ceiling and the waiter ensured we were moved and comfortably seated
Great staff led by the veteran Matt and Rashul best server loved it
