Phenomenal as usual. A decadent treat.
Absolutely wonderful experience! We will definitely go back.
The restaurant itself with regards to visuals and food is good, nothing to complain about it was the service or lack of it with regards to a special request I made which makes me give a negative review of this place.
Open table allows for a section to place a special request, on special occasions I’ve always made a request to have the server bring two glasses of prosecco to the table upon seating, this is something every fine dining restaurant I’ve eaten at has been able to pull off without a hitch. Bymark completely failed to come through and didn’t bring anything, I decided to wait and see and didn’t say anything immediately. When the server came back we ordered wine and our meals.
15 minutes into our meal our wine still hadn’t even arrived as the server forgot, I had to flag down a manager to reorder our wine. They did end up apologizing about the tardiness and brought the prosecco, then also docked it from the bill but by that time the damage was done and on multiple strikes.
It was still a great evening but it’s the little things that make fine dining top class restaurants like Bymark try to project. I would not return.
We had the soup of the day that was elegantly presented, tasty and absolutely silky. Then we only had an appetizer each because we were rushing to the Opera. I had the crab cakes and my partner had the shrimp tacos on beet chips, both plates were beautifully presented and a delight to the pallet. I will definitely go to Bymark again but only on a very special occasion due to the price range.
The hamburger was superb but the salad was mediocre.
Consistently good food and service. They have done a good job at maintaining the quality that established them so many years ago.
Excellent meal, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines which was great. There was a leak in the ceiling and the waiter ensured we were moved and comfortably seated
Great staff led by the veteran Matt and Rashul best server loved it
Love the duck. My favourite! The bread was delicious too.
Went there for our wedding anniversary on a Saturday night. Surprisingly quiet. Great relaxing ambience but not too serious. The food were all amazing. Service was immaculate. Highly recommend this restaurant for special occasion.
I told bymark it was for a birthday, staff did nothing. Staff did not serve bread in the beginning either. The quality of service dropped off. Would not recommend to anyone celebrating any milestones.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bymark. The food was excellent and we would highly recommend the Chopped Kale Caesar, the Burrata & Focaccia and the Roasted Duck Breast.
The wait staff were attentive and friendly and our server, Lara we believe her name was, was excellent!
We were there to celebrate our 40th Anniversary.
We could not have been more pleased. Nenita was our server and she was perfectly professional and personable.
Thank you for wonderful service and food
Lovely, sophisticated patio, and a great setting for any occasion.
My girlfriend and I happened on Bymark because of its proximity to The Reservoir Lounge, and decided it was best to get a quality bite to eat before an evening of dancing. I wasn't quite sure what to expect to be honest, as most restaurants in the downtown core are rapidly becoming homogenous; in design, aesthetic, atmosphere and food. Meaning - they are all of quality, but the dining experience is becoming a bit routine.
What stood out for me with Bymark, and what prompted me to actually write a review, is that the food was surprisingly outside of the mould of the sameness that the Toronto restaurant scape seems to be suffering from. My lovely date and I ordered a bunch of starters (no mains) and they were all interestingly plated, and robust in their menu design - and were fantastic where it mattered the most, taste.
Kudos Bymark, maybe I shall return to you the next time I decide to brave the cumbersome and ill scheduled TTC to make my way downtown.
Service was very slow and the food was not very good. Over priced for what it was
Food was quick and good. A bit noisy though.
Unnecessarily calls in the morning of the appointment to confirm if we will be going.
Service was excellent, prompt, and friendly. The food was delicious, picture perfect, and cooked awesomely. We love this restaurant after so many years and it still keeps a high standard.
Our first visit to Bymark. We enjoyed the Bymark burger , fries, Caesar salad, oysters and Tuna. I did find a hair in my tuna dish, which I noticed immediately. They promptly returned my dish and brought out a fresh one. There was no discount offered for this issue. They did apologize.
It was not my hair, as I have long blond hair and this was short brown.
Other than that, ( which I understand can happen ) we enjoyed our experience.
Very good as usual. A little pricey. I will be back.
Great food as usual and excellent service. Really appreciated the extra touch as the waiter acknowledged my colleagues retirement which was the reason for the lunch.
Loved the food and were accommodating to gluten free diet.
It was overpriced for the experience. The decor was dark and dated...food was expensive and a bit confusing. I had the halibut and "snow crab" served in a bowl with risotto. In the end the flavours came together, but I struggled to get there. The size of the snow crab put me in a bad mood, but the quality of the cook redeemed the plate.
Super excellent!! The wine was great and the food even better.
The Bymark's Summerlicious menu was outstanding
Food was great! Service was excellent! Highly recommended!
The food service as very slow. Easily 25 minutes between courses. They said it was the number of people upstairs but it was more like under staffing. I’ve been there for business lunches and dinners before and this was my poorest experience
The food is excellent
Delicious food, wonderful service, and a great room. I had a business meeting and it was a perfect location!
Great choice options for Summerlicious. Generous servings.
It was good but not extraordinary. It may be because we tried the summerlicious menu. I was personally a bit disappointed with the duck confit, it was not moist as I've come to expect from confit. Add the cerviche would have been nicer had it been at a lower temperature.
Had better summerlicious menu
Great food. Quality reminds even though I happened to be there around summerlicious time.
As always, the food was fabulous: in freshness, taste, temperature and presentation. Enjoyed the interesting flavour combinations. Portion sizes were manageable. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional. The dining experience was well orchestrated and effected in a timely manner, especially important for those of us dining between meetings!
Food and atmosphere was amazing. We came here for Winterlicious before as well. I think it is at the top of our must-try list for Winterlicious/Summerlicious. Service was a little slower than the last time and we came after the lunch rush. Overall still great and we’ll be back. :)
Thank goodness for summerlicious. We are in Toronto often and had not eaten at this wonderful restaurant. Will return many times.
Main course for the summerlicious lunch is amazing. Beef brisket tastes Good! Amazing service too!
We went to Bymark for a Summerlicious lunch and it was a complete hit with all three of our party. The restaurant is beautiful and the tables are well spaced so you don't feel crowded and it was not noisy. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful with suggestions on our drinks. The Summerlicious menu gives everyone good choices and we were all very pleased with our selections. Highly recommended!
Sea bream was too fishy
Should have taken servers recommendation to order the shrimp!
Otherwise tuna was great
Service was great
But would have expected better from mccewan
