I like the ambiance it’s classy and fancy, the famous cake was overrated it’s so average and the food was so expensive and the service was so good.
The food was good (not great, but very good), however, the service was inattentive and pretentious. After spending GBP600 for 4 of us, you would think they would not be upset if we asked to have the cheese that was on top of a pasta left off or to refill our wine glasses or ask if we wanted another bottle when we were done.
Amazing bolognese pasta, best in London
I have been many times to Cipriani restaurants around the world, but the prices at C are just way to high, does not make sense anymore. Probably only the Saudis who love to pay crazy prices feel comfortable. Europeans tend to be a bit more moral on how much they spend.
A lotw of noite
Incredible restaurant food and service 🙌🏻
Food was great
Amazing food, great service, I enjoyed the vanilla meringue cake the most
Service was a bit snooty, refused to give us a better table despite the place being empty. Served us cake for my husbands birthday without my ordering it and then charged me for it. Food was good but simple and not worth the price charged.
The food was ok, nothing special. Wasn’t offered a wine list. And the food came out very quickly, felt like we were being rushed
Very bad service
The quality of food is poor (similar to what you would expect from a restaurant on a beach)
It pretends to be "Italian" but - believe me (and I'm Italian) - it's far from what you should expect from an Italian restaurant
A very nice Sunday brunch place.
Tried C London for the first time with friend as Mayfair restaurant near where I live that I’d not previously tried. Asked waiter for a recommendation as my first visit. Ordered cod starter and recommended pasta/ham dish. Also asked the sommelier for recommendations on wine. “Sommelier” turned out to be waiter who had done a wine course but had apparently not been taught that the best wine depends on food choice. He had no interest or knowledge of what I’d ordered and immediately recommended the most expensive red wine by the glass without knowing what I was eating or asking what I liked and continued to insist it was a good match even when I told him I was eating cod to start (it was a terrible match so I picked a white wine too). The cod starter was ok but Luke warm. The recommended main pasta dish was a very thin layer of cheesey white pasta on a chipped plate slightly larger than a side plate for which I was charged £27. It was under seasoned too and we were sat at the only table without salt and pepper on it. I told waiter I was still hungry after eating it and he cheerfully suggested that I order it again. Instead I ordered an octopus dish which was similarly bland and underwhelming. The two of us left less than an hour after we sat down, still hungry and with a £200+ bill. I’m amazed this restaurant is in business and we won’t be back. With so many amazing restaurants in the area I see no reason to go there.
You shall enjoy both the ambiance and eating there. Sensational menu and wine list.
Always an excellent choice for a quite and relaxing business dinner with high quality Italian food.
Over priced food! Pasta was overly al dente , almost hard.
Was great as usual
When we arrived - we had a table in the middle of the room. People were loud. Waiters running around , talking and chatting to each other. I was shocked that they were so annoying and literally watching us when we finished each meal in order to kick us out of the place and have the next guests. We had Buratta to share with my friend, each of us took a plate of simple pasta ( nothing ordinary) and one Vanilla cake (the famous one) ..... Guess what we paid 140 Pounds... for this experience. Also when we were sitting one guy started to fight at the entrance of the restaurant and someone punched hi so hard that he fell down on the floor. Seriously??? Wow - not worth the hype. AT ALL.
Attentive service and faultless food!
Top service, knowledgeable staff, properly attired. Always an incredible experience
This place wasn’t great
Under cooked pasta which had to be sent back, had to ask for the cocktail menu 3 times and then finally you get one in a tint shot glass for £14
When asked if the food was good we said it was awful and morning was done.
Really dissapointed with this place, wouldn’t return
It was wonderful, the food was amazing and the were extremely welcoming and nice.
Interior is bit old fashioned, but food and service is very good!! Especially the Cipriani cake!
pasta was hard and chewy, over priced for such average food. desert was good.
below average food and expensive
The host was mean and rasicst. Gave us the worst table!
Not what it used to be. Still great food though but ambiance is gone and it just costs way to much for what you get.
The food was ( very very very ) expensive $$$$
Slow service , waited a while before being asked if we would like any drinks . Once we managed to order food and it arrived the service was reasonable. Was also sat next to a table of very loud group talking about obscene things which made the meal less enjoyable as there were plenty of alternative tables we could have been sat at . The food itself was phenomenal as always!
Great but expensive experience, food couldn’t have been better, service impeccable
IKEA glasses as wine glasses, despite they were changed to other IKEA class wine glasses destroyed the entire wine experince. Embarrassing level of such a restaurant
Wonderful service, delicious food - especially recommend the pumpkin ravioli and the meringue cake!
My favorite Italian place, that I usually visit for special occasions and every time is better than the previous one. Thank you!
Comprehensive menu of Classic Italian dishes.
Outstanding service. Proper linen and shining glass.
Better value and food than the Venice Cipriani.
We had high expectations in dining at C and staff attentive on arrival- however the room is very open with tables back to back and very noisy. The service was attentive and the food great. We both had the fresh pasta which was delicious and quite a large portion which was great. The desert of lemon pie was very sugary and not cooked well - my friend enjoyed her vanilla cake. On a level of overall enjoyment- this was not good - the tables proximity meant other diners pushed into us to reach their tables - the waiter asking us to move our table forward to allow access to diners thereby pushing our table next to someone else. The waiter put our bill in the table without us asking and we had been there 2 hours and had finished desert- we may have wanted another drink? Felt rude and arrogant - there were empty tables - so it was unnecessary!!the place was so noisy and by the end of our meal we were shouting to speak as wee others. Would we go again- definitely not !
Staff kept laughing at me and my friend during our meal and made us feel very uncomfortable
Not freindly mangers, they choose always good tables reserved for their cup clients , they don't give attentions to other guests , bit rude with guests
They gave us a great corner table! Very nice evening and food
The restaurant did not provide a friendly environment for a single diner. The restaurant was empty as I planned to have an early dinner- yet I was seated next to a swinging door in a dark corner. I had a book with me and had planned to have an enjoyable dinner. The waiter wasn't happy when I said I would order my food after I had my glass of prosecco---he kept coming back to ask if I was ready to eat ( not order, eat). Both courses came out at the same time and I never was offered a second glass of wine, To say I felt rushed and unwelcome would be the understatement of the year. A shame as the food was good.
I typically tip 25% since I dine alone a great deal-- the waiter missed out on a nice tip if he had been courteous.
