About

CABANA is a relaxed, vibrant and affordable Brasilian Barbecue restaurant. The menu features marinated chicken, beef and pork skewers which are grilled fresh to order, such as the best-selling Spicy Malagueta Chicken or the popular Bossa Burger with guava-cue bacon. The street food selection includes delicious Pao de Queijo (cheese dough balls) as well as sides of Sweet Potato Fries, Black Beans and Cassava Chips. To finish off, Cabana offers some decadent desserts including Chocolate Raindrop Doughnuts (delicious fried dough balls stuffed with Nutella) and Oreo topped Sundaes.

Cabana’s cocktail menu showcases Brasil’s most famous cocktails, such as flavoured Caipirinhas and blended Batidas.

The interior exudes the best of São Paolo with “up-cycled” design features such as denim banquettes, streetside-inspired posters, and kites, all maintaining CABANA’s lived-in and hand-made feel.

Menu options include Vegan, Vegetarian and Halal.

Booked this restaurant before going to see a theatre production at The Dominion Theatre. Friendly waiter, didn’t get his name. Food was nice, service was quick, price was good. My only criticism is that they placed us next to the till, so we always had staff coming and going at the till during our meal. Even though the restaurant wasn’t full, they seem to cram everyone together in a small space. The table next to us was positioned wrongly, so we had to disturb the person sitting at the next table to let us to go to the bathroom. Felt very wedged in.

We were very disappointed to turn up and find out that our booking for 6pm done online 2 weeks prior was not on record. The place was busy and luckily managed to get a table for 6 after all. We told them we were going to a show at 7.30pm and would need to have our meal quick. Managed to order by 6.20pm and received starters soon after. But no drinks for ages until we enquired at 6.55pm and it turned out the drinks order was misplaced. Received our drinks and meal at 7.05 and had to gulp everything down by 7.20pm. Not a good meal after all. Received 2 cocktails for free as a token which was nice, but the evening meal was spoilt.

This was for 2 family members birthdays which we booked. When the food took an hour to arrive and we asked where it was we were told by the waiter that it wouldn’t be long but they were struggling as everyone in the restaurant arrived at same time and they were busy. No apology was offered. Mine and my partners food was fine but the two steaks were disgraceful. Both ordered medium rare and were medium/medium well at a push. They were completely different sizes in thickness and one was completely inedible as it was all fat/gristle. We asked another member of staff for the steaks to be taken off of the bill which they did and they came round with 5 shots (still no apology) however as the service and attitude was poor we didn’t even stay for dessert which is a shame given it was for birthdays.

I think I've told everyone about this place by now. Great food and hilarious staff. Definitely helps when you can see they are happy to be there.

I recommend the massive wings to start and you couldn't go wrong with any main

Will be returning next time I'm local!

I order the chimichurri steak with beans and salad as side dishes. The steak was too tough! Beans were great but I think 16 pounds it's a bit expensive for great beans!

This place was ok. Service was a little odd as, even though we arrived very early and the restaurant was mostly empty, it seemed like they were trying to cram all guests into one corner of the restaurant. We asked to be moved, as the first table we were given felt very cramped. But then we ended up sitting in the coldest and draftiest part of the restaurant, which felt like a punishment. Our food, although arrived hot, became cold very quickly. So to be honest, it is hard to comment honestly on the food as it was too cold to enjoy the experience. Other than that, the menu offering seemed nice, and there was a good selection for different dietary requirements such as halal, gluten free and vegetarian, which suited us.

Not good, it does not taste Brazilian at all. Go to Five Guys or something like that. It is the same type of food, cheaper but without pretending to be what it is not.

Not quite what I've experienced before in a Brazilian restaurant but pretty enjoyable none the less. Staff friendly and food was good. Would say that the Chicken was better than the steak though.

I don't often write reviews good or bad but my visit has compelled me.

The reviews for the restaurant were good, hence I decided to book. When I arrived for some reason my booking had not registered but they still found me a table.

We had nachos and squid ring starters which were fine and two chicken skewers, which were expensive for what they were (three bits of chicken with some veg and fries). The fries I had were a Cassava replacement for potato fries, however when they arrived they were tasteless wedges. In addition we had a bottle of Malbec, the food was unremarkable really, and the wine was awful.

The wine was so hot, which I tried to explain to our server but he did not understand (bit of a language barrier). He kept saying to me "but it's red", yes but red wine should not be served at the temperature of mulled wine . In the end he supplied me with an ice bucket which I used to reduce the wines temperature, it was still not pleasant but that happens sometimes.

I didn't expect too much for a chain but was disappointed considering some of the positive reviews I had read and the face it still cost £75 for two.

Not impressed by the feijoada but my pther friends loved thier mela, the skewers and the curry chicken for example. The sweet potatoe fries, the nachos and the croquetas were good.

The drinks we ordered were very good--highly recommend. The food, however, was disastrous. We left after ordering two appetizers (we sent one back and got a replacement...still terrible) and drinks, even though our reservation was for an entire dinner. What we paid for those was totally not worth it at all. The highlight was absolutely the drinks---somewhat reasonable prices for a pitcher to share and two cocktails (though the pitcher was not strong at all). I personally wouldn't come back. Service was great, really nice employees, amazing location, and ambiance. Shame about the food, I was so excited about this place!

In my opinion really disappointing food, atmosphere and service. The place was empty, it took a long time for the food and drinks to arrive. Food was warm and tasteless. We just wanted to leave. It was about 2pm in the afternoon.

We had veggie burger and chicken in pitta. I could have made this better at home. Chicken was poor quality and I left most of it. Tasteless veggie burger.

Do not recommend, try somewhere else.

When we arrived, the staff at the door were clueless and it took them ages to figure out my booking which I had made online. We ordered the 2-4-1 cocktails; these took some time to come out to us and were smaller glasses and barely filled in comparison to the ones not on the 2-4-1 menu/not during happy hour.
We ordered the starters - definitely not worth the money. Over priced small portions, and under cooked. Then the mains - two of ours were cold, and my friend found a hair in her food. We told the waiter, who took the food back without a word. We asked to speak to the manager, who said we would get another meal, but we did not want to stay, so she ended up giving the meal/drinks free of charge. Very disappointing though, definitely will not be going back!

Food was delicious and brilliant value, we had the sweetest waitress who was so kind and helpful, we went for my mums birthday and I had asked if they might be able to bring us something as a surprise which they took open heartedly and gave us a cocktail each with a happy birthday. Overall was delightful I would recommend to all type of party's!

Very enjoyable time at Cabana's. food was pretty good, and a 2-4-1 cocktail deal will always sweeten the deal! Service was fairly quick too - maybe don't go on a Saturday eve if in a rush, as it is a popular place which will inevitably slow things down a bit. Great time there will go back

We had a meal at Cabana before going to the theatre. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Ewa made us very welcome and her smile was infectious! The food was very tasty and was brought promptly to our table. The atmosphere was very 'buzzy' and just right! I would certainly recommend Cabanas and will definitely be going back!

Service very slow to start, because it was busy. However, very friendly and amiable service overall. Great drinks. Flame grill flavour was tasty, but steak was very chewy. Food had no garnish and extras were small and pricey. Very nice ambience in the restaurant.
