The overall ambience and food was amazing. Would definitely go back.
Wonderful food, old school atmosphere, impeccable service.
The staff are always so pleasant and the food is by far the most delicious cuisine I have experienced in the capital district! It’s our favorite place to dine when we want to feel fancy, well feed and have the most amazing ambiance!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Carefully prepared, nicely presented, creative dishes with attentive service.
Definitely our favorite restaurant in Albany!!! So many other restaurants claim to have authentic Italian food but this is the only place that has true authentic Italian food. The menu changes nightly and is always delicious and amazing. The ambience is something out of a movie set.
First time for us out- of -towners. Wine list was good, drinks robust and Kevin our
waiter was attentive. The Veal Cheeks were different, tender and moist. The shrimp and
fresh pasta were delicious. We come to Albany for business and we'll definitely return and tell all our Albany friends and colleagues to check this restaurant out!
Arguably best Italian dishes in Albany. We end up eating two loaves of bread due to every sauce being delicious - every time. Jennifer you’re awesome.
Everything was great, but do the main course pasta dishes have to be so big?!
Celebrated our first anniversary here with a bottle of Prosecco and good food. Cozy and comfortable with social distancing observed. Would definitely go back!
Everything on the menu is great! The staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your experience.
Authentic Italian restaurant near Albany's downtown district. Really love the older Italian atmosphere. Keeps its roots while staying clean and having a modern, helpful staff and menu. And the same can be said for the quality of the food. Some classic Italian dishes with premium taste. Do not expect any sell-out Olive Garden dishes here.
Absolutely incredible experience. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. We will definitely be back!
Always a great meal! My grandmother really enjoyed celebrating her 80th birthday with the Capriccio staff. Thank you for going above and beyond for her on her special day. It is much appreciated!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Albany. It's my place of choice for special occasions, and a relaxing night out.
Great setting - food was top notch and the service was on point.
Start to finish, it was a very nice night!
Great restaurant. Wish the lighting was a little better. The food is top notch. Service is great. We had a good time.
Great food and service; can’t wait to go back.
Me and my wife’s anniversary; I dropped off flowers they set up on the table for us. Set us up in the corner booth very special occasion.
The food, appetizers, and drinks were all on point. They may have the best sauce we have ever had. They will not disappoint, whether it is a special occasion or just a dinner out this place is great.
I have been a customer at Cafe Capriccio since the late 1980s, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots to eat. The eggplant with four cheeses alone makes a trip to Capriccio worth your time. The menu changes often, so you will not get bored. The service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Cafe Capriccio.
Their demonic steak special was the best steak I have ever had.
A Brilliant destination. They're doing pizza again and it's one of the best I've ever had. Great house made ingredients with a masterful touch. An oasis of quality especially during these crazy times.
The food and the service were excellent. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but there is parking right outside.
We loved the intimacy, the attention, the overall ambience. Felt like a great neighborhood restaurant, old school Italian, and just joyful!
Better Mask Wearing technique by waitress would have been better.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely date night here. The food was just fantastic, everything we had was on point delicious! We’ll be back!
Fresh baked bread, homemade pasta, and homemade pizza dough! Need I say more? This was my first time coming here and I was blown away by the quality of the food and how delicious and tasty everything was! Service was outstanding as well! I highly recommend coming here!
Always awesome, comfortable, and enjoyable...and super food!
As always, excellent
Always the best in town.
Excellent food! Perfect wine pairing and appetizer suggestions from Jen! A true Albany gem!!!
I have had dinner here a half dozen times in the past three years. The food has been consistently excellent and so has the service. Go for the meatballs, the pizza and the red sauce. Pasta always fresh!
Food was fantastic.
Have dined here many times before over the years and generally found it to be very good overall. Unfortunately, we had one of the most mediocre meals ever this time. I ordered the chicken eggplant sorento, which is usually my favorite because chicken thighs are used instead of the breast, which I find dry and lacking flavor. My dish was served with a chicken breast, and no mention was made of the change in person or on the menu. I ate it bit should have retruned it. It was dry and not what I ordered. Then for my second glass of wine I ordered the house red. Apparently, it's called famiglia. Instead of asking to clarify my order, I was brought a glass of a dark red wine. I asked what it was because it didn't look like the house red. I was told it was a pinot noir. When I clsrified that I ordered the house red, we figured it was the famiglia red. Instead of attempting to correct the order, the waiter told me that I'd like it much better. Again, I should have sent it back, but drank it instead even though I do not like pinot noir, or I would have ordered it. It is too dry and biting for my taste. Chainti would have been mych better as far as I'm concerned. The bread wasn't fresh. The ravioli special was not very good since the pasta and filling were like mush with little flavor, and certainbly not worth the price when you can cook store bought ravioli at home that taste better at a fraction of the cost, and at least drink what you want with your meal. Nothing was particularly good. Everything was average at best. Couldn't even prepare dishes properly, get the order straight, or care enough to correct it. I usually don't leave reviews, and particularly don't like leaving negative ones, but someone there should straighten things out before you lose your repeat customers.
Great to be back, EXCELLENT as usual !!..Great compliance with current situation..Thanks to all...
The service is always next to none. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here. The flavor is incredible, it does not matter what you get, it’s always going to taste better here! Fresh and delicious, consistently!
As always, Cafe Capriccio is an outstanding place to eat. Great service, and the food is always excellent. We always enjoy coming, and we will always be back.
Enjoyed the meal but wished there had been a few more selections. Although I understand that could have been due to just reopening.
As always, a delight. However, I think they have changed the puttanesca recipe? Didn’t seem as flavorful to me or as stewed as in the past. I had the feeling that the sauce had been assembled as opposed to having been simmered for a while as it should be.
Excellent food and great service! We will be back!
The best place in the Capital Region to take your other half. We had such a nice dinner. Thanks to the staff for being so accommodating. Awesome place to build memories.
The food was made with the Italian tradition. Excellent flavor and taste. Great staff as always. Will continue to dine here
