   Absolutely love this place! First of all, food is always amazing. Despite the fact that it’s a cafe, the attention to quality is astonishing. I had booked late, but they worked me in for a table for one. Great service. Very professional and attentive. Great value. Great food!

   I am afraid I would not go back! The ground floor had a better atmosphere with tables that fitted the seating, we were on the first floor brightly lit not very appealing. Sadly, the starter was plonked on a plate, no garnish, olive oil or balsamic were available or offered. Fish main was a bit cold, in all disappointing and overpriced!

   Oh dear main was totally over seasoned to be fair the waitress took the main off the bill Will not be returning as both of us enjoy home cooked Italian food we expect better Maybe a few visits to cafe murano by the owner would help

   Kids food was fine. Mine and my partners main course was horrible. we sent it back twice and then gave up. Tasteless, watery, pasta that was so hard it was inedible. Over priced and would never return.

    The service and food both great. Unfortunately we booked a table & were ushered into the back half of the restaurant, which on a sunny day felt particularly dark - as we left, we resalías there were plenty of seats in the front light space at the front. We’ll specifically ask for the front next time. There was also - all the more common nowadays - a family seated on the other side of the restaurant entertaining their child with the usual iPad, without headphones, volume up, & loud enough we could all hear it over our conversations on our table. The waiting staff very kindly took this very kindly and seriously, but there should either be a policy of no loud devices, or without headphones, or maybe parents could be a bit more aware of their environment. Either way, we left & had coffee & dessert elsewhere.

    overall an enjoyable meal tasty well presented and good service one dish seared trout was disappointing It was piping hot but served with room temperature mashed potato We had jersey royals hot and delicious as a side. A much better choice for this dish another table 2 people also made the same comment

    Having previously hosted a work event at cafe Murano with great food and experiences I booked again, the place and staff are fantastic but the two pasta options that were vegetarian were both very average and totally overpriced.

    As good as I hoped. We shared three starters of which the broad beans, ricotta and lemon was the stand-out (a lovely whipped mousse!), then I had the amazing gnocchi with girolles and my partner had the crab spaghetti. We finished with chocolate tart and apricots with ricotta. Simple straightforward, beautifully executed. Staff were knowledgeable (one was able to tell me the ingredients in the salad dressing without checking in the kitchen). I found the music a bit intrusive and the furnishings did nothing to absorb general noise so not quite five stars.

    I absolutely loved the service, location, restaurant design. I opted to try the very reasonable set menu but was a little disappointed with the main on the flavours, just a little bland. However I would return I just wouldn't order that dish and go for something bolder.

    The restaurant was really dated, very old fashioned, the place was barely half full, the menu was completely outdated, there was weird pop music playing out it the speakers which seemed completely out of place in a fine dining Italian restaurant. The starters were decent but the pasta mains were very average, remember you are competing with old school heavyweights like Bocca di Lupo or River cafe and new stars such as Padella or Bancone. They need to up their pasta game.. the staff really seemed to care and service was busy but attentive. They were the only bright spot in an otherwise dull and average meal

    Food was lovely, waitress was extremely curt borderline rude. Asked us if we wanted desert 30 minutes before they needed the table back and then promptly told us we would need to rush desert as we only had 30 minutes! Go for the food and wine, but not the service!

    It was not a busy Saturday night on 14/3/2020 We were seated in the very rear of the room Given menus promptly Then took ages to get a waiters attention to order anything. It really want that busy but the service was lacking,so for example after our main course took 5 mins for them to clear our plates and after our meal, no one seemed interested in asking us if we wanted the bill. So I asked for the bill on my way down to the WC, when I came back it still hadn’t appeared , so I asked the same waitress again and she intimated that’s she’d asked a colleague to get it. Sorry that this review isn’t about the food, which was tasty and they also had inexpensive wines by the glass However as an evening of enjoyment , it was not. I don’t go out for the evening with the intention of complaining. I’ve eaten in the St James’ branch, which was much better. Won’t be rushing back here.

    The waiter was unwell (coughing and sniffling) and when asked politely to not stand as close to the customers got very rude and brought govt advice on covid-19 !yelling! at the customers that the restaurant is safe (and still refusing to step away) - no matter what cold/sickness he had she shouldn’t have been serving food when sick! Incredibly rude service, very average food. Do not go.

    Lunch with a girlfriend. Great location and lovely ambience. Service was charming. Authentic Italian food, fantastic ingredients, beautifully cooked.We had a small problem with the meal which was quickly resolved and adjustment was made to our bill. Will definitely return.
