Very welcoming and staff very attentive and helpful. Nice ambience and great location. We had the set menu as a pre-theatre meal. The food was good but nothing special. As always, it is the add ons that bump up the price - side dishes, wine, water and coffee doubled the cost of the meal. If you didn't have any of these, it would be very good value and I would recommend it for the wonderful staff and location.

I love this place, second visit, this time for an early supper before going on. I thought we’d have the place to ourselves but it was quickly humming. Excellent service which might not not have been the case as none of our party were drinking and in so many establishments you can be treated as less than worthy clients do we felt good about dry Feb rather than dry Jan’
Food simple, perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented

Excellent meal with friends. We were in the window seat which is a bit cramped but it did not detract from the excellent food and attentive service.

The menu is varied and the set menu good value. We had a combination of the two.

Very good food, friendly but not over-friendly service and a really good ambience. My wife didn't like the paraffin oil candle because of the smell but otherwise everything was excellent.

I use a lot of restaurants in London and would say CM is the best at the moment. It has the perfect balance between interesting food and style, without being too formal or ponsy.

Booked as a celebratory lunch. We had the set menu which was exceptional value and very filling. The wine list was extensive although my wife just a glass of the ‘house’ white was was lovely. My son had a delicious cocktail - all good value. It is a Cafe by name and has a great atmosphere. This would not be a place for a quiet intimate meal if that is your thing.
Overall, great location, lovely decor, great ambience, attentive staff, quality food at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend

We enjoyed our meal at Cafe Murano. Our food was far better than the usual Italian, with very fresh ingredients and interesting combinations in the pasta and gnocchi. An exceptional tiramisu.

Warning: this is not the restaurant Murano, the great italian one, this is something else, a sort of humble brasserie. The food is nothing special, I hardly remember what I had apart the pasta that was quiet good,

Service was fabulous. The ambiance was a little stuffy but it is the neighborhood. The starters were delicious however only one of our mains delivered on taste (the tuna linguine was like a school lunch... but the tortellini with homemade n'duja was awesome). Desserts were both good but not great. Overall solid italian for the area but not one I'm hurrying back to

Great location, food and service once sat down, very enjoyable evening.

Awful welcome, though - we were a few mins early for our 7.15pm table for 4, and were essentially asked to leave and come back as bar not available and table not available. Could have simply said 'goodbye' at that point...

Lovely relaxed atmosphere and good simple and elegant menu. Chatty and helpful table staff all happy to answer questions or indeed go and find the colleague with the knowledge. Lovely recommendations for dessert wine. Will definitely be back.

We were left waiting a long time before being offered a drink or any menu. Then after requesting the set menu we had to wait another 15mins. The food was good but the noise of other guests meant we could not hear each other from one end of the table to the other and we were only a group of 5.

Cafe Murano had a real buzz about it. The staff were excellent, knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and wine list. The food was of great quality and was truly authentic Italian rustic cooking. We really enjoyed the experience.

We eat here regularly at weekends as the cooking is exceptional, the atmosphere bright and relaxed and the service great. The arancini and caponata make an authentic Sicilian antipasto, the duck starter was delicious and the veal risotto and the tagliatelle were beautifully cooked. Good Italian wines by the glass and carafe add to the experience.

I love this place normally. This time, however, it was only midiocre. The personnel was very very nice, attentive and timely.. until it got busy. Then it was like we didn't exist and sat there for 40 minutes waiting to order dessert... crazy. I love the food there, but this time, as lovely as it was, the portions really disappointed. My appetizer and my main were essentially the same size.. makes no sense to me! My pasta main was tiny. I also find the desert menu a bit lazy. It's all premade mostly cold deserts.
Overall, will go somewhere else instead.

We sat at the bar counter. The Barman was great and his service was excellent. The food was wonderful. It is very comfortable with adequate room between the barstools. I would highly recommend Cafe Murano. Very convenient if you are visiting the Royal Academy.

I was keen to try the murano brand but slightly disappointed. My fish soup was I would say too salty. The main could have been hotter and some of the staff lacked experienced.
However. I like the restaurant and will go again.

Disappointing without being awful, we just felt that this restaurant could have done more. Service was slow, the food arguably over seasoned in places, venue quite noisy. Staff were friendly and some of the food was good. Just not as good as we expected.

On the evening that we dined there it was extremely busy which is usually good however the noise level was quite high and we struggled to have a decent conversation with our 2 guests

Also the AC was quite fierce and as a result our “candle” wouldn’t stay alight

Our friends enjoyed their first experience at Murano so a success

High noise level a negative. The wine we ordered was mediocre; the 1st course was fine and commendably hot when it arrived at table. Finished 1st course. Waited 15 minutes for the main course (plaice to be shared by 2) at which point the waiter brought the whole fish to the table to show us, then took it away to fillet it. We waited 12 minutes - nothing, no fish - finally asked a waiter what the delay was. 4 minutes later he returned with the fish. It was lukewarm tending on not warm; it had disintegrated into small pieces of mush. A pity as we were looking forward to trying this restaurant. Something went badly wrong.
