Cambio de Tercio
We also offer traditional Spanish tapas, but it is our Chef Alberto Criado’s creative dishes, what defines us and has given us our name.
Our award winning “wine list” contains the largest and more diverse selection of Spanish wines anywhere in London.
Within our renovated premises, you can now have dinner at our Chef’s table situated in our kitchen or enjoy one of our Spanish style Gin & Tonic at our “C.Tonic” Bar, with a large 80+ premium gin’s menu.
The Restaurant has gained many accolades during the years including the much coveted “ PREMIO ALIMENTOS DE ESPANA 2003- awarded by the Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fishing and Food as “The Best Spanish Restaurant in any country outside Spain, 2003”

A wonderful experience. We first visited Cambio de Tercio about 20 years ago and it has developed into probably the finest Spanish restaurant in London. Excellent service, innovative presentation of imaginative food. A very enjoyable evening.
Brilliant food as always 😊 And more importantly - really lovely, welcoming staff. Have never been disappointed by any of the restaurants in this group.
Great to see this South Ken stalwart going from strength to strength. Lived around the corner 20 years ago, used to revisit on business trips 10 years ago, worried it would be dusty and/or coasting on its fashionable location. Happy to see the place is better than ever, with a sharp modern menu full of clever updates of Spanish classics. Service impeccable as always
We were inside, no air conditioned. Too hot, impossible to eat enjoyng the meal
This is an outstanding restaurant with a great wine selection.
Amazing find in London. Incredible food, fantastic wine list, great, friendly staff.
This time it was with my girlfriend, previously with colleagues and clients. The restaurant staff are always welcoming, to the point where as you walk through to your table numerous staff members welcome you. The staff themselves are normally Spanish and happy to assist with wine and food choices in a nice informal manner. The restaurant itself has bright attractive and fun colour scheme with good art. To top it all the food is marvellous and after many times dinning, the standard and consistency is high! Maybe why you hear so many Spanish voices.
Wonderful place. Paco and staff are terrific
My husband said best meal he's EVER had
And we're not young!
This long standing favourite is losing its "neighbourhood gem" placing and is slowly but surely edging into an expensive and over-commercialised restaurant. Sad to see.
Food and wine are always excellent (both are overpriced now) but the customer no longer feels privileged to have "discovered" the place.
As I say, sad.
My guests, who are not familiar with the place, each commented on how uncomfortable they felt about the commercialised feel of the place.
From now on I will have to think carefully as to who I recommend it to.
Unfortunately they said the kitchen is cl9sed when we arrived only 10 mins late
All around excellant restaurant that never fails for a great meal.
We had an amazing meal. The tapas were all very delicious and the staff were attentive but not intrusive. We would definitely be back!
Still a great place in London for spanish food. But its not quite as good as it used to be. Food sometimes served a bit cold, not as much attention and care as before.
Best Spanish restaurant in London
Food was great as always. Wait staff was a bit unfriendly - maybe new.
Food just gets better each time, well run restaurant
Great experience and food
Very good restaurant, the price-quality could improve.
Staff was very friendly, but despite having a reservation, we were not seated until 45 minutes later. We had an engagement after dinner which we had to miss because of this...
Had not been here for a few years after being a regular, it is still as good as i remember, attentive staff and delicious tapas.
Cambio di Tercio is by far the best Spanish restaurant in London. Simple tapas dishes like boquerones and patatas bravas are made memorable and baby octopus or pork dishes are cooked to perfection. Service is calm and efficient even as crowds build up. And the wine list has exceptional examples of Priorst and Ribera del Duero.
Fantastic food and service
As always, great food and wonderful attentive staff.
Full and buzzing - our favourite local restaurant.
Lovely meal, ox cheek and croquettes were amazing
We stayed in South Kensington and this place was right around the corner from our VRBO rental. It was absolutely so delicious that not only did we go on our second night in town but we also went back for our last dinner before heading back to the states. The food was fabulous. The tapas worked out great for us because we had my mother with us on our trip. She does not eat a whole lot in any one sitting so it allowed her to eat as little or as much as she wanted to while not having to split with anyone or waste food by ordering her own meal. The wine list is long. We had a mixture of the following plates between both of the nights we ate there: Iberico Ham Croquettes (my favorite), Spanish Baby Anchovies (not my thing but mom and husband loved them), Spicy Patatas Gravas, Spanish Omelette with Black Truffel, Galician Padron Peppers, the Lamb Cutletts ,the Pluma Iberica, and the Garlic and Chili Prawns. Definitely a good find.
Perfect Spanish place after all these years. Always a joy to go back and see the team at its best
A favourite place for a long family lunch or diner with a great range of Spanish wine. Their allergen menu along with knowledgeable and friendly staff removes a lot of worries when taking guests with allergies. Front of house orchestrates a great time for all.
Se come mejor que en España....................,.,.,
Brilliant food and service!
We found this gem whilst coasting the internet for somewhere to eat on our last day of holiday - it was certainly the foodie highlight of our trip. Also a big hit with our 9 year-old ("best dinner ever!")
Brilliant. Delicious. Great atmosphere. Yum.
Good service, friendly people and good food
Exceptionally good 'fine dining' Tapas. Very good service and a lovely quirky setting - some 'interesting' art
One minor complaint was the proximity of the door meant it occasionally involved a slight draft when new guests arrived
The staff were very attentive, but not overly so. The food was a real pleasure - especially the croquettes
This is not 'big scoff' but the tasting menu, for the quality and content, was very good value and more than sufficient for a full meal
Fantastic food, atmosphere and ambience but the service was a bit intense. The staff didn't have much patience for any questions (or bad but well meaning attempts at pronunciation) and also took to shooing us out before time, which soured the mood a little for me personally. But nonetheless a great spot for authentic and delicious Spanish food. Truly wonderful ambience (lively, vibrant and noisy - not really a place for whispering sweet nothings to your sweetheart) and there was a delicious Volver on offer for a reasonable price too. Would recommend.
Un petit restau à tapas plein de charme. Cuisine savoureuse.
The food was exquisite and the service was the best we have ever had!
The best Spanish restaurant I’ve found in London and will definitely be returning
We absolutely love this place!
Everyone is super welcoming and food is brilliant. Fun to share small dishes with friends and family alike!
Delicious food, friendly and professional staff and a great atmosphere. You can’t be wrong going there for any excuse :)
Great food and ambiance, we both loved it! A cut above most tapas by a good margin
