Cantina Beach Restaurant - The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne
Very nice setting, excellent service and good food.
Definitely a place to go to when in Key Biscayne`.
Must make a reservation.
Extremely hot. Terrible food. Expensive.
Great food and service. A little pricey, we could have easily shared portions but were not aware of size
Great place for dinner with kids! Fun to be on the beach - food is excellent and good kids menu!
Roberto was an outstanding server. Ambience more than anything is what brought me here, but the rest of it will make me a returning customer.
Nice place, but the food was nothing to really write home about. A place this expensive should not serve drinks in plastic cups when you are sitting in their dining area. I can say I have been there and done that.
Delicious fresh Mexican inspired seafood and fresh flavor fusion. Service was a bit slow and glassware for fine drinks and wine was plastic - a little chintzy for dinner I thought.
Want to pay double for simple Mexican food? This is the place. I paid $24 for dry chicken and over cooked vegetables.
It’s very clear that Marriott now dominates the food and beverage service for the Ritz Carlton. You’re paying Ritz-Carlton prices for Marriott Courtyard food.
I felt the greeting and wait for seating was not the world class of the Ritz. Because I'm a woman who dines alone I was ignored. Not cool. Dinner took so long I was no longer hungry. For this price that was disappointing as was the food flavors. Tortilla soup called sweet corn chicken tortilla had neither corn nor chicken in it. This is the Ritz?
Our evening started with great drinks at the Rum Bar with our bartender, Anthony. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We then dined at La Cantina which is outside right on the ocean. Food we as great, the view was spectacular and our server, Raul, was very friendly and attentive. It was a great evening.
An AMAZING experience, the food was great! We had the guac made at the table churassco steak and $5 tacos. The blended mojito with mango juice topped the night off for my wife. The valet is a bit high at $25 for only an hour or two.
The beach view was lovely, however, we expected more from the quality of the food considering it was a Ritz Carlton. It was average at best. The mixed drinks were good, though. I ordered the sea bass and far from being moist, it was overcooked and dry. The guacamole was tasty although it was not made 'table-side' as described on the menu which was disappointing. The desserts were a good final note to the evening. And the wait staff made a big deal of the birthday girl, bringing mariachi hats and taking a picture with a polaroid to remember the occasion plus a complementary dessert for the birthday girl. That was greatly appreciated. Don't go for the food alone.
Great food (scallops & mango shrimp) excellent service and an amazing view. My go to restaurant every time I’m in town. Favorite place to catch up with friends.
Beautiful setting and beach view! Food was great and service was awesome!
The service was horrible, we never received our guacamole that we ordered. The waiter took forever to bring us water or even get our drink order. They didn’t know who ordered which meal and we waited forever for our food. The food was good. The service was extremely bad, but now I know why, when you sit on the outer rim closest to the ocean they add a 18% tip no matter how many people are in your party! Don’t go there. Ritz Carlton you should be ashamed! This is not the service indicative of your hotel!
Lovely setting right on the beach. Good service, and the skinny margarita and red snapper were great. A little pricey, but it's part of the Ritz-Carlton resort.
Consistently Fresh & Delicious
Outstanding food the guacamole is the BEST.
Service is not the best but very friendly.
Overall love this place.
The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful - on the water, perfect for a sunset dinner.
The food is delicious and not skimpy in its servings at all. The fresh made guacamole is good (just wish they gave more!), but the tuna tacos are fantastic!!!
The service was great: our server was friendly, knowledgeable and not at all overbearing! He was the kind of guy you didn’t mind having around the table. And we were visited by not one, but TWO managers who came to check on things, which I thought was both smart and lovely. It’s nice when that happens...showing care and consideration. More places should realize how much that little effort goes towards a clients’ feelings,
Très bon restaurant
We were excited for table side guacamole... but lands up the call it “made table side guacamole” but it’s not, it’s premade- not the same! Food was ok, but nothing special.
Fabulous view, passable food, horrendous service.
Cantina is our go-to place on KB, either when we’re staying at the Ritz or just close by. Great food, great service, great ambiance
Very nice place. We celebrate our son’s birthday, outstanding service!, food was excellent, I recommend the Black Diamond Margarita. They surprise us with a wonderful dessert as a birthday present
I'm from Texas and this was one of the best chicken quesadillas I've ever had!
We went to have a nice Mexican meal.
Well it started great and had wonderful guacamole to
start. Home made at table side.
Mark our waiter was very good. We spilt the
Fish tacos and the braised chicken
They were ok but nothing more than that
The last dish frajitas was very good
The view makes it very nice
Overall decent place. Expected more for the Ritz Carlton
Had a great time with my wife. The waiter Conde was awesome, very nice, patient, and caring person.
Wonderful service who made our dinner a lovely experience
Even though we had a reservation, when we arrived the restaurant was closed for the evening.
Casual, poolside Mexican restaurant at the Ritz Carlton. Of course the setting was lovely and the service very good. The appetizers were large and delicious. The octopus was very tender and the ceviche was perfect. The price for meals (mostly around $30 for entrees) and cocktails ($17 for a margarita) were ok. However, I didn't feel it was a good value because the Ritz charges $25 for mandatory valet parking on their property. Open table listed this restaurant as a $30 and under dinner restaurant. When you add the $25 parking charge, you are well above that.
A very nice meal by the ocean. The kitchen was a little slow, but they made up for it by writing off our app and giving us dessert.
Cantina is an open-air restaurant, adjacent to the pool area of the hotel. We had no problem walking the short distance from the hotel. It's more of a sundress and flat shoes place--don't wear stilettos. The view of the ocean is really lovely. And, even though the weather was intermittently rainy, we were fine throughout the meal. The food was good, the servers were pleasant, and the ambiance was just what we were looking for.
The restaurant was nice, a little bit pricey. We didn't like that on a Saturday night it closes at 10pm, also it is not fun that there is no cover pass way to get from the hotel to the restaurant, it was raining that night and hard to walk to the restaurant, everything outside was wet and hard to walk with heels under the rain. The food was great, service was good too, but next time we are choosing a restaurant that we can enjoy a late night with friends.
Loved the ambiance, the food and the service. Great view beach view!!
Service was poor and when bad weather rolled in staff was unprepared to handle situation.
Beautiful restaurant with good service and nice live music limited menu and very expensive children's menu. $15 for a small bowl Mac and cheese with no sides. Really obnoxious price. They need to fix children's options at Ritz. No parent likes to feel ripped off.
We are here twice this trip so far, incredible service and spectacular food.
Great food , Great staff.
My only issue was that the lighting was dim
I brought up this with my Waiter. Max he was so kind and professional , he told me the reason , I felt so bad after
The reason for the Dim lighting is that they have Sea Turtles that hatch there and the light May Confuse the beginning of their Journey
Great setting with spectacular views of the ocean!
The food was great, our server was great, it was just busy for the amount of staff they had working. Small menu, and what's on there is very good. The view of the ocean is unbeatable. Only down side is you can run into the occasional smoker which if you don't smoke, can be a drag (no pun intended)
