Cantina del Ponte is inspired by the three Rs that make Italian food truly great: rustic, robust and reasonably priced. A classic trattoria, the service is as welcoming as you might expect, the food is delicious and authentic and there’s even a riverside terrace overlooking the less classically Italian view of Tower Bridge.

Great dinner and very good service, we will be happy to come back soon!
It was the last day before lockdown 2 and it was a great time but tinged with sadness because of the circumstances
It felt like being being in Italy. Food was excellent and very relaxed setting. Would definitely recommend.
Nice location and good food and service
Best mushroom tortellini I’ve ever had, throughly recommend. Staff were also lovely.
Really quite day on the area not been at cantina for a while
But the atmosphere is always warm and let you feel always welcome
As always the superb quality of product and good value
Makes the difference
We try it the new carbonate in the cheese wheel
AMAZING !!!
The staff really looking after us, we definitely come back soon
Pretty basic food not too enjoyable other than the starter. Disappointing compared to previous meals
Really lovely waiting staff, enjoyed the meal but the staff made it.
Excellent service and food - off the set lunch menu... amazing value.
Beautiful food that was woefully undermined by the horrendously shabby dining room and patchy service. On arrival, the inhospitable and unhelpful hostess led us through a largely empty dining room with to a table in the corner next to the toilets and busy service area. What was even weirder was that this section of the restaurant was already occupied by diners - so much for social distancing! We moved ourselves to a more suitable table for two in the centre of the dining room. The inauspicious start to our looked-forward-to evening did nothing to detract from the unpleasantness of our surroundings - the interior resembles an unflatteringly lit, grotty, 90's kitchen. We only had a main course in the end finding the ambience repellent and the service poor. While some of the servers were pleasant enough, it became tedious to repeatedly have to request and remind about drinks orders. So while the food was lovely, I cannot recommend Cantina del Ponte based on our brief evening there.
Good service, food excellent, ambience was perfect
. Views of the Thames and Tower bridge made for a fabulous afternoon dining seated outside.
Fantastic al fresco dining experience with friendly service and amazing food! Thank you!
Would recommend the truffle pasta and the cannelloni for desert!
Disappointed overall ,booking was not know when we arrived .No problem to have a table so resolved .Menu to be downloaded via QR scanner ,it appears to only be A La Carte and no set menus .We assumed they had removed them and ordered from the menu .No mention of Eat out to help out menu ! After we had ordered couple at the next table asked and were given a separate menu !!
Wine list ,reduced choices - failed delivery .
Starters arrived and placed on the table ,we were left sitting with no cutlery and had to flag someone down to ask for some .Main course mushroom risotto was incredibly salty .No condiments were offered to the table .We were given the £20 discount but charged £11.69 service charge which felt like an insult as we had seen such poor service .I paid and left as I was so deflated by what I had experienced and just wanted to get away .This was my first experience eating out in a restaurant after lockdown ,I absolutely understand things will be different but this was just indifferent
Menu is limited. Nice location. People are great.
Lovely location. Great meal and a good and reasonably priced drinks menu!
Mains portions were quite small
Extremely friendly, perfect location and very reasonable price. Food was delicious! Excellent precautions taken to ensure safety but not intrusive at all.
Amazing deal for our lunch meal on weekend we hapless pasta brunch with pasta made on the cheese wheel on live station great idea
We really enjoyed our time definitely we will be back
Quite lunch with friends on tower bridge
We got a really warm welcome from the staff
The food was really nice and tasty we had a generous meal from the starter to the dessert
Really good value for the area
Will come back
Excellent food and service.
Great evening standard set menu and good value. Would recommend
The food was delicious, and the service was great.
It was a little noisy in the dining area, but nonetheless the food, taste and service made up for it.
Very good value for money too.
The 20£ menu has an incredible good quality/price. We enjoyed it a lot and will come back again!
Everything was amazing, we went for our anniversary last Saturday and it was wonderful, food very tasty and delicious, service quick and the staff friendly. I'll see you soon 😍
Good quality with an affordable price. attentive service We really enjoy our meal all the dishes was tasty and generous
We really loved our tiramisu’ for dessert
I have said that I wouldn't recommend Cantina, but we went on a quiet night and the place was empty with no atmosphere. The meal was not encouraging either because after our initial tasty mackerel starters, which were like cichetti, the rest of the meal lacked on many levels. The seafood linguine was rather salty , but worse still was unimaginately served in an aluminium pan! It has been known for years that aluminium is highly reactive to acidic foods like tomato and can affect the taste... not a good idea. On top of this the desert we ordered, Tiramisu, was pathetic, it looked old and tired, tasted very watery and was the worst one we'd ever had. We left it. This was not a good experience. The restaurant is in a lovely location but seriously needs to look at what it serves and how it delivers food.
Christmas Italian atmosphere on the river side We been at cantina several times one of our favourite Italian choice in the area
Food is Always outstanding tasty and generous we got a selection of starters arranged from the chef
Then lasagna and pork cheek as main
All really delicious
Staff always friendly and attentive
Wait for next visit
Amazing experience on pasta brunch that’s a weekend deal nice to have a chef live prepare our pasta
Tasty and well presented always attentive service
One of our new spot for the weekends
Lovely atmosphere, nice views along the river and food very tasty
Great restaurant. Food was delicious and right on point. The place can be a bit cosier though. It is really noisy and resembles a bit a canteen.
Nice restaurant on the side of the Thames. Fairly scenic, the restaurant has a nice feel to it. The pre-theatre set menu is good value for money, although some vegetables would benefit on the side. Staff were accommodating and lovely. Would recommend.
Great food amd very nice service
Bargain set lunch. 3 courses for £15 for a delicious and generous beef carpaccio, a competent pollo pizzaiola and good cheese with tasty mermelatta is already good and when you add the riverside situation and view, this must be one of London's best set lunch deals. The restaurant was quiet Thursday lunchtime, so lacking a little in atmosphere, but service was efficient , informative and friendly. Only criticism was that the cheese was served with a too small piece of wafer bread to accompany it, but it would be churlish to gripe at this price!
Excellent food
Good food, great location. Unfortunately staff is putting pressure on guest to eat quickly and leave.
First time been here for try pasta brunch
Definitely made our day smiley staff and happy chef at outside station with cheese wheel for the live show
The menu is a really food value for money
And the fresh past with sauce on your choice are really tasty
Thank you to all the staff
Birthday celebration.
Anna was a good host. She is an asset for the establishment.
Good food and serving staff.
PreFix menu was good value comes with a glass of fizz which my husband had it. I ordered food from normal menu then saw next table was given 2 glasses complimentary prosecco which obvious when I asked why I didn't get one. The host lady explained that she only could offer to VIP customers no matter what and how much I spent first time she couldn't be bother to please everyone... understandable but the way she explained it was a bit unfair.
