Nice evening, if not a little loud. Did not appreciate the £1.50 donation to charity automatically added to The bill at the end
Although the food was really nice, it was a bit overpriced. Also on a busy evening the service can be a hit and miss.
The menu offers enough options, the food is tasty and the staff nice, but the food is way (!!) overpriced and the portions very small.
I wouldn’t recommend going, unless they have a set menu offer.
Had dinner here on Valentine's day (but just had the ala carte menu) and the ambience was lovely, each table had a red rose on it. The wine selection was good, I enjoyed a really good dessert wine (solalto) paired with tiramisu. The food was also of a really good standard, however I think it is expensive for what it is, as you can enjoy a meal at a michelin star restaurant for a similar price.
Quite a small restaurant with an open kitchen. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is superb, with great flavour. Only minor annoyance is the wine prices.
Top venue in this location.
Lovely food but I think very pricey for what it is
We had bottomless brunch on a Saturday. The venue is lovely, and was nicely buzzy without being hectic. The rose prosecco was great, but there was some confusion between when it started (we had to ask a couple of people for it), and when it finished, but they rectified the situation well.
The food was nice, and there's a good variety of brunch type options - some I've never seen before (in a good way!) and good vegetarian options too. I'll be going back...
I thought it was really good value.
Chose this restaurant as a place to meet up with old school friends. Good atmosphere, noise level average, service initially slow with drinks order but better for the food. Portions were smaller than expected which was probably why we all ordered desert. Bill was £50 per head for main, desert and one bottle of house wine. Great location as only walking distance to Liverpool St station.
The Prawn Arancini is worth the entrance fee alone, just superb.
The food was nice enough but was very overpriced. We paid £28 for a version of a carbonara. Also was only half full on a Saturday night. We went because of its star rating and left feeling it was nice food but was way too expensive for what it was.
The staff are absolutely wonderful! Food is a little bit pricey for the portions but nothing outrageous. We went there for a party and they catered to our every request. Such a wonderful team of staff
Lots of good choice in the area but Canto Corvino stands out for the quality and seeming simplicity of its cooking. Everything we had was executed to the highest standards - both the swordfish carpaccio and the pappardelle rabbit ragu I had packed tremendous depth of flavours.
I'm not normally that keen on Italian - tends to be the same ol' same ol'.
The pasta at Canto Corvino however was exceptional - the best I've ever had by a long way.
Great food. Very expensive for an Italian. Some mains at £36 without sides!!
The food was delicious - we ensured no overlap so we could share.
The wine list is extensive and represents good value.
There is a great vibe in the restauarnt.
The service is attentive but not intrusive.
Excellent all round evening.
Amazing food in a very elegant restaurant with excellent service. Our waiter helped us pick a wine which complimented our meal greatly. The welcome staff could improve.
The food is great but it is too expensive for the size.
Food was delicious and service and ambience both good. However, £28 for mushroom pasta was a bit of a shock!
Excellent food, homemade pasta was delicious, very helpful sommelier and the staff were professional and friendly.
Great atmosphere for a business dinner. Staff are professional and welcoming. Price was reasonable considering the location and quality of food. Food was a great fusion of ingredients for a twist on traditional Italian flavours. Highly recommended for a more formal than casual setting.
The staff are absolutely amazing. The food was amazing too. Everything came on time and we were treated so well. I have no negative points to say about this.
Always first rate, great staff, good specials and a small menu that always has the freshest ingredients. This place is a delight !!
We like this place . Easy to find, good food , excellent service ... what else you need ?
This is a top quality Italian restaurant with fantastic food and great service I return here all the time and am never disappointed.
As ever Canto Corvino is a joy with attentive staff and excellent food. The restaurant was very full which, given time of year, was not surprising but quality and service did not suffer at all.
Really nice set up, decorated lovely, staff very helpful, food was amazing
Food overcooked and overpriced won’t be returning
Incredible food, service was a little slow but I think probs because it was so busy! They honestly couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely go again!
Ribs were cold, cannelloni was as hard as a taco shell, beans were more like soup. Service was slow, manager came over to tell us we had 20 mins before we had to leave but they never brought desert menus or the check. Ambiance was nice, wine was good.
This is about the third time I have been there.Food, service etc. was all very good as usual.Only hiccup is they seem to have initially marked us as a "no-show"but I understand that this was a mistake and quickly rectified.
A bit stressed but it is the Christmas period with everyone trying to have a festive lunch. Quality of food and wine beyond reproach and still the best Italian in the City. Service a little off for the aforementioned reason.
I've been to Canto Corvino at least a dozen times and this wasn't the greatest to be honest. Even though it was only about a quarter full it took an absolute age to get served at the bar. I've always taken drinks at the bar there for at least an hour before dinner but next time I think I'd go somewhere else as bar service was appalling. Food was as ever great but it is still on the pricey side. As an aside, I was due to eat there the previous week also but my guests cancelled that morning due to train strike and sickeness. I tried to cancel via OpenTable but was told that I need to contact Canto directly. I emailed them at 9.26am to cancel. At 1.30pm I got a very rude phone call telling me I would be charged £40 for not turning up. I pointed out that I HAD let them know and that I'd cancel this week's dinner if they charged me. They relented but were very, very rude which soured me wanting to go back this week. It's always been my favourite place for dinner and I've evangelised about it to many others but their halo has slipped a little based on this experience.
Great interesting food in a lovely setting. Open kitchen was good to peak at the courses being prepared.
Excellent food and service - definitely be back soon.
Honestly a super meal and was made to feel really welcome. Will be back!!
Went for my girlfriends birthday. The food was amazing and really attentive staff. The perfect start to a lovely night!
Nice environment and a very good service. Main courses were all good, well prepared and presented, on time, while the entries were average from a small list. Good wine list at logical prices.
Mains were delicious and ambiance is lovely which is what we really liked. Desserts were quite a disappointment unfortunately - nothing creative, exciting or even just tasty. Service was not very attentive, we had to ask for our water to be topped up more than once.
Was very busy for a Tuesday evening but service and attention was good. Had booked offer, but nothing on that menu appealed so ate from a la carte menu. Very happy regarding quality of food, but felt it was somewhat pricier than anticipated.
