Attentive and busy staff, eager to please. Kitchen is very good but the menu is somewhat restricted. Very good wines, but most are pricey. Ambience is lively, and yet the main room is noisy. Interesting private dining roon downstairs. Reasonable value for money (for Bishopsgate).
Lovely food and wine menu; not huge or overwhelming, but plenty of choice. The service was respectful, attentive and efficient. The lunch crowd was a bit noisy, but still atmospheric and we were able to communicate at our table with ease. The food was spectacular; full of flavour, well cooked and seasoned, well proportioned and beautifully presented.
Really lovely atmospheric place. I had mentioned it was my sisters birthday celebration and we were surprised with a free glass of fizz. Lovely friendly attentive staff, food was delicious and great decor. Would highly recommend this place for a romantic meal or friends/ family get together.
Great food and great service!
Great room and very friendly unpretentious staff. Excellent Italian food with wonderful fresh ingredients which is simple yet delicious. Always an absolute winner.
Lovely dinner. Food was amazing. Great service. Nice to see things busy again.
We were late but that wasn't a problem. Lockdown has clearly ended as the place was packed. The chili sauce dripped on the padron peppers was hot (which was good, not bad). Two of us had the pasta carbonara and my colleague (French) said it was the best carbonara he had ever had - which is high praise. The guanciale obviously packed with flavour made the dish as did the black truffles. House Sicilian red was the best value on the list. Service was excellent and it was good to be back.
Stunning restaurant!! Excellent food, a little hidden gem in London on the back streets, well worth the visit, i would say its a little bit £££££ but still a stunning restaurant!!
Upon arriving they were able to seat us 20 minutes early before our reservation of 19:30 which was nice. The restaurant runs very well and stayed calm. Our server was pretty attentive with our wine glasses and water. My major complaint was the pork was 50% fat and bone. While I love “off the” bone meat and small bits of crispy fat this portion was a bit sad.
Good quality food and the server was chatty BUT it got really crowded and the service became slow. This is an expensive restaurant and so we hoped for less noise and in particular a quasi hen-night of women sitting near us was not good
This is a gem of an Italian restaurant. The staff are fantastic and the food was to die for. They have an excellent wine list alao
My wife and I ate here to celebrate a wedding anniversary. I simply cannot fault the service from everybody. We were very kindly given two complimentary glasses of Presseco as soon as we sat down, and the subsequent table service from everyone was attentive and extremely polite. We were given a great table in the corner as well.
The food...hmmm....we just felt it was trying a little too hard to be different. Italian food in our eyes is simple and effective. I had the Chicken Milanese which felt a little greasy, and my wife the pork chops, which again had a lot of fat on. The accompanying sauces were a little too rich as well. The starter of prawn arancini balls and the dessert of tiramisu were delicious though. Overall, a lovely evening.
The food at the restaurant was very nice I will say that. However, unfortunately the service let the restaurant down. We were not asked if we wanted to order drinks, felt very rushed as if it was a McDonalds trying to get people in and out as quick as possible.
Always good - small menu but good choice and wonderful flavours. Small menus always seem to deliver better results !
Friendly, discreet service and delicious menu. Lots of vegan options too!
Nice food, very nice service and very cosy place. Can only recommend!
Hadn't been here since before lockdown. It was great to see it as good as ever. Lovely food and excellent service. Great to be reacquainted with an old friend. Will definitely be back.
This was a lovely experience with the service being so good it puts other places to shame. The sommelier was helpful and gave us exactly what we asked for and the food was sublime
Great buzzing restaurant. Excellent wine list of Italian wines, and a great menu. The arancini, and ceviche starters will brilliant and the pasta main did bit disappoint.
We had an excellent meal with very good service and are happy to return again...
Excellent meal. Will definitely be going back in the near future.
My favourite restaurant that I wouldn’t go back to. Never be sure but strong sense that the new manager and his staff has killed this once fabulous restaurant. With the exception of the lady who greeted us (charming) waiting staff walked around busy with their own importance but completely unobservant of customer. A dropped napkin picked up but never replaced until asked for; unsmiling staff; wrong drinks served after asked for three times (is martini that difficult?) and a restaurant that was 2/3rds empty of a Saturday night. When complained to manager he just blamed his staff… but frankly not convinced he’s not the real problem. Food still great but I’d never go back to my once favourite restaurant in town who just seemed to get everything right and justified the price. There’s now much better options nearby.
Great food and wine in a lively atmosphere. Good friendly service
Good Service Ambiance all first class
The food was nice but expensive. Unfortunately there was hardly anyone in the restaurant (and it was a Saturday evening) so there wasn't much atmosphere.
Food and service both fantastic - will be back very soon!
Absolutely lovely lunch - great food, service and company
Ordered every dish on the brunch menu and everything was incredible, staff could not have been more helpful.
Good food but not much of a vibe sadly. Would have been better if there was some music playing. Also, half empty on a Friday. Just felt a little dead :(
Great brunch menu - something for everyone. Service was excellent.
Food was ok but not worth the money. So many other Italian restaurants with better food. Also a very dull atmosphere.
Great service and food.
Ambience very relaxed.
Definitely recommend it.
Great front of house welcome and service throughout. visited 3 times now in recent months and food has been consistently good, although the pork chop this time was overcooked. Great varied wine list.
What a fantastic lunch! First class, friendly service, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent.
Wow wow, an amazing food, fantastic and attentive service, great value… were even treated to a special anniversary sweet.. highly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed.. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fabulous meal, great service. Meal was pricey but not over priced. Really nice restaurant design and setting
Excellent food ,wine and service knowledgeable staff
Food was fantastic, service was very good and staff were very friendly and attentive. will 100% be coming back.
Love the food lovely staff can't go wrong.
We came here for a birthday lunch but didn’t realised it was only serving brunch on Saturday. We were slightly disappointed as we were looking forward to order from the A La Carte menu. However, when the food came, all our disappointment disappeared! The food was very delicious and service was amazing especially the front of house. We even tried to go back for dinner but the kitchen doesn’t open till 6pm and we wanted an early dinner. However, we will definitely be going back! Thanks for a lovely brunch :)
