We went for the set menu (for £28) and having the vegetarian option was not good value. My main course of pasta cost probably £1 of ingredients - no vegetables, nothing fancy to make it a bit special. The starter was simple but again boring. The pumpkin pie was easily the highlight. Try again Canto Corvino.
About our 20th meal here and it never disappoints. Great kitchen and wine list. Friendly service and great value. It’s an institution
Superb food, great wine and a lovely atmosphere. A hidden gem in central London and a must-visit if you like Italian cuisine
Really quick and effective service.
Loved the lamb ribs to start and the iberico pork and meatballs.
My wife and I went for our wedding and and had a great time. We went with our infant daughter and were looked after throughout by the waiting staff who did everything they could to me is comfortable. Would happily recommend to other people and we will definitely return here again
Was there for my birthday celebration. A touch of class in Artillery Lane.
Had a nice table, great wine & waiter service and the food was excellent- not much more to ask for. Thanks.
The service was welcoming when entering the restaurant and showed us to our table promptly. Drinks were at the table quickly and Starters arrived shortly after. The portions were small but the quality was exquisite. I ordered drinks for two, starters and mains which came to a total of £135. However the large lobster ravioli which was £29.00 had eight parcels/bits of pasta. As the larger more expensive option this was extremely disappointing. I did not expect a huge amount as you come here expecting fine dining but that seemed too far.
Great restaurant, lovely ceviche and great pasta. My friend's monkfish looked really good. Portions were ample, ambience great. I will definitely visit again.
Had a very enjoyable business lunch. Great authentic meatballs and an excellent bottle of Primitivo.
Lovely meal - my pigs head carbonara was delicious. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and extremely accommodating of my toddler. Bonus that they do good kids' plates. Great bloddy mary. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet as I'd definitely return. One thing I would suggest is broadening out/including more lunch dishes on a Saturday as a couple in my group were looking for a proper lunch, which I'd been told on the phone was catered for (just a very small handful were available). Highly recommend though and will go back.
Great vibe - excellent cocktails and personal service and great value in happy hour. Food isn’t cheap but v. Good quality - I had swordfish which I thought was a little over salted which I mentioned in passing and was happily surprised to find it reduced to half price on the bill - nice touch and showed they listen to feedback- lobster spaghetti was to die for - amazing flavour. Efficient yet friendly service- very well run team. Wine is all £30 plus per bottle but again great quality even at lower end
Very enjoyable evening, had a great table in the corner and were well looked after by the team there. We tried the tasting menu which was great food and great wine pairing.. Definitely recommend
My favourite City Italian. Lovely menu and always interesting specials.
This is one of my “go to” restaurants in London and it never disappoints. The menu is ever changing and inventive. The ceviche is delicious- probably the best I have ever had. The staff is helpful in suggesting wines and food pairings.
great food, my girlfriend was very impressed with her pasta with truffles said it was best she has hd, and my food was great. so thanks so much for a lovely evening
Food was superb and service attentive without being intrusive.
Buzzy atmosphere if a bit loud
The food here was excellent. The tables were well spaced for privacy.
A very pleasant restuarant with attentive staff and excellent food. There is also an amazing wine list.
Came for a lunch meeting on a Friday - lovely chilled atmosphere and really delicious food! Highly highly recommended.
Great staff and great attitude.
Great location, food and service. Worth a trip.
Food was great but the wine per glass was very over the top in my opinion
Just excellent Italian food. The pigeon pasta was brilliant, as was the lobster linguine.
The food was tasty but I think particularly over priced. The service was okay, although there was no complimentary bread. When the bread we ordered came out, it was one slice each, with no butter or olive oil. When we request these, the waitress seemed baffled. However, a manage (I think) made an effort to meet our requests.
The food was excellent, with the pasta dishes all outstanding. The service was also excellent, and we will definitely return.
Here for a business dinner with colleagues from Greece. Shared starters of mozarrella, beef carpaccio and, the best, Arancini (2 per plate so buy 2 plates). Foe mains the quail fell of the bone nicely, the seafood part of the seafood and bortelli beans was tender and tasty. Being greek my companions preferred their meat medium/well (don't go there) and it was served, apparently, perfectly to their liking! As usual the desserts impress with the chocolate in a cup still my favourite. Massive wine list with a helpful sommelier to assist. All round a great evening.
Very pushy service, we sat down and had a catch up prior to ordering food, Normally you order a drink and get some time to browse the menu, the waiter asked us 6 times before we were ready to order. I had a bottle of water with me as I am 8 months pregnant and the manager of the restaurant asked to take it away.... also one of the warmest days on London. Been once before with my husband and it was lovely. Today was a big disappointment - will not return or recommend.
My third visit to Canto Corvino and I have never been disappointed. Tucked away in Artilery Lane en route to Spitalfields, this restaurant has everything. The food is to die for with some unusual Italian dishes. I always try something new when I eat here. This time I had lunch with a friend and we just wanted a quiet time. It was a Monday so not too busy.
At the beginning of June I celebrated my 70th birthday in the private room with 10 of my dearest friends. The evening was amazing. The food of course was perfect and the staff helped to make my evening one that was extremely special and unforgettable. Thank you all!
The food was very average for the price you pay.
My Friend and I were very disappointed by the staff. Cold, not very welcoming and we had an issue with the bill. The waitress did not present bring us the set menu for which the Open Table had an offer. We ordered from the only menu available genuinely believing that the offer was applying to this. When we flagged it to the waitress when she brought the bill, she and the staff clearly questioned our honesty. Food was average. The bread was not good and we had to insist to get some. The dish of my friend came cold. Beautiful space but it’s a shame that the service ruined the experience.
Good food and nice location, def recommend for sure
Food was excellent, lovely styling and very relaxed atmosphere. All at a very reasonable price.
It’s a great location, lovely space, good service. Food was mediocre - but may have made poor choices. Dessert was small and tasteless.
Service was the only minor let-down as you had to ask for ketchup and toast was brought but no butter - but food was excellent
Great food but the staff could have been much warmer. Put us off returning to be honest.
I didn’t realise that they only served Brunch on a Saturday lunch time. The menu was mainly egg based which was a big issue as 2 of a party of 6 had an egg allergy. The alternative was a not very nice burger. Will not be going back because this put a damper on our once a year cousin get together as we live in different part’s of the U.K.
Very civilised evening with friends - great food, good choice, cloth napkins, delicious dessert, windows open to the street as it was a lovely summer evening, polite and authentic service.
I love this restaurant but was incredibly disappointed on Saturday evening ... starters were great but when it came to our main courses someone in the kitchen had added way, way too much salt to the meatball sauce and the courgette fries ... we couldn’t eat the courgettes!! Such a shame! Everything else is top notch here. We mentioned it to our waitress but no further action provided ...
Epic dinner as always. Ribs were beautiful, steaks cooked to perfection and fantastic Sommelier who helped with wines...
