The food was excellent and the service was first class and the staff were friendly and attentive would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely evening out.
back to Canto for lunch and reassured to see some staples still there - prawn arancini but standout this time was the pigs cheek carbonara. Excellent; lightly cooked egg to break and mix around, deep flavoursome cheek. Good size portion as a main. Too full for pudding which was shame as it's normally very good here. Restaurant was moderately busy but it's spacious enough to feel private and hear what your guests have to say.
I think in that part of London there probably isn't a better Italian restaurant. Cooking is simple in style but excellent in quality. My guest started with the "ribs"- small, off the bone and sliced - polished off with ease. My Chicken Tagliata main course was excellent with crisp artichokes and a pearl barley "risotto" - we cooked in the Josper, moist and crisp at the same time. Excellent wine list, starting at some reasonable (for London) price points and understandably a wide selection of Italians, with plenty by the glass. Normally it's very busy and buzzy, it was a tad quiet after the Bank Holiday weekend but I doubt that will last - well worth a visit.
One of my all-time favourite restaurants in the City. Great food, drinks and ambience, made even better by friendly management staff.
Canto Corvino proved to be a good location for a business lunch. The food and service were both very good and the noise level was reasonable.
Delicious food regardless of what you order and fantastic setting. Will gladly always come back!
Great food, good service and warm ambience.
I went there for a birthday meal with my husband and some friends. The service was very relaxed and friendly. The food was lovely and the ambience was pleasant - we went on a Monday night and most other customers were city workers who appeared to be having some group meals. Staff were very nice throughout the evening
We went for a team lunch and it was very delicious well presented food. It is quite expensive as we went al a carte but the quality of the food and presentation was exceptional.
great restaurant and cocktails and bar / resto too
Great meal thanks
Lovely breakfast with clients. Nice ambience and great service. Food was lovely - one wrap seemed a lot crispier but still tasted great - wouldn't have noticed but we all had the same! Lovely cappuccino served too! Definitely recommend!
Food was a little bit disappointing, but that was set against great expectations.
Excellent staff and Fantastic food
Really great, relaxed but attentive service. Delicious bar snacks and a lovely selection of wines! Will be back!
Nice food, good service but not many other people there on a Friday lunch time
Although it was a nice restaurant, I ordered the special which was beef, it was 3 or 4 pieces of beef in a plate 'full' of mushrooms, it was nice enough but when the bill arrived £39 was too much, I could have had the steak, but the waitress never mentioned prices of the specials, I know its London but £160 for 2 courses for 2 people with no wine and just one vodka each was a little too much.
I ordered a vodka diet tall glass 2 ice cubes, no fruit and a straw for my partner but to make life easy I had the same, we got a glass rammed with ice, diet tonics, lemon and no straws, I had mine as im not fussed, they took the other back and now brought the diet coke with TWO lemons on a sideplate, a seperate glass full of ice and still no straw, 'really'... how hard can it be...
The food was utterly delicious!! Pasta with artichoke, burrata, lemon and mint
Amazing pasta and wine. Highly recommended! Staff are very polite and knowledgeable.
my appetiser was "Lamb Ribs" I was looking forward to fresh lamb meat on the bone...instead i got a little plate of thin slices of fatty meat totally drenched in gloopy salty sauce...the main course was a little better but again way too salty and everything was basically cheap ingredients dressed up to justify an unjustifiable price tag...the waitresses frowned and sneered at us...basically expensive rubbish and staff that cant be bothered...never again for me...
First time at Canto Corvino. Nice ambience and excellent service.
Lovely restaurant. Food excellent. Friendly attentative staff. Nothing is too much trouble
Too expensive - small portions, but very good service and nice location
We had a lovely reunion dinner and bid January a glad farewell at Canto Corvino. Everything was perfect from the delicious food to the attentive and personal service we were provided. There was also an impressive vegan menu which included a delicious, flavoursome celeriac soup and the pasta is to die for. Great steak for those craving something more meaty! Thanks for helping us fight the winter blues Canto Corvino!
Cold and wet Saturday evening, but the welcome is warm and genuine. Excellent cocktails and great value during happy hours ( 4-8pm). all of the food was well cooked and well presented, very good choice of wine. The staff are very helpful and friendly, but maintain an air of professionalism at all times. Everything about the restaurant is high class.
Incredibly overpriced, unimaginative food and an even more overpriced wine list (500% markup is just excessive). For a £29 bowl of pasta, I’m expecting something more than just a bland carbonara which was under seasoned and lacking in depth. It’s not simple classic food and it’s not experimental and interesting - it’s just dull. The service was excellent though. Attentive without being imposing.
A spacious Italian restaurant serving very good food and wine, with good service and a very pleasant relaxed ambience.
The lobster ravioli, whilst tasty was an incredibly small portion for a main. It was a rather expensive experience.
Very good quality meal and great atmosphere.
Great food, nice service, lovely vibe, will go back again.
Great ambience,food and wine
Pretty nice place. Good food and good service.
A little on the expensive side for what it is but still worth it.
The best Italian restaurant in the East End. Great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. Wholly recommended
Had a set menu in the evening. The food was very nice except for rather dry tuna carpaccio. It is a nice place but can be pricy.
As ever, great food. Attentive and professional service.
Excellent food, extraordinary choice and desserts like „heaven“.
Service was slow and bordering on rude throughout the whole meal. Requests for water/bread were met with eye rolls from our waitress. Meals came out at different times (table of 8). Made to feel stupid for not guessing some ingredients of a dish that weren't listed on the menu (we'd just asked for the ingredient to be taken off the plate... didn't ask for a new dish).
We were told without warning that the kitchen was now closed but we could order desert if we did so RIGHT NOW. Our table was regularly bumped into, (knocking over glasses) by staff carrying around tables and chairs.
Lots of the food was tasty. One dish strangely full of cubes of fat. Table was a business lunch, and 4 people independently told the host the service was appalling.
The meal was great, small issue with my steak but was replaced quickly, other than that the food was great.
Wine menu was amazing.
Would visit again.
Buzzing Italian near Spitalfields. Good cocktails and atmosphere. Service was fine.
