Anniversary Dinner which was indicated in our reservation. We were hoping for a more intimate booth by the window away from much of the noise. We were actually sat in the center with mist of the families with young children. Although the food and service were very good we did not want to stay long. Would live to gave say with another glass of wine. Absolutely nothing against families, I would suggest paying attention to the reservation and seat accordingly.
We ate outside on the patio. Had an early dinner 4:30. Was very quiet and the waiter was amazing. As alway the prime rib was fantastic.
The service was great and the food was pretty good. We ordered the mushroom steak and top sirloin with shrimp on the side for the main. We found the shrimp a little too salty. Otherwise it was pretty good.
Fantastic dinner. The prime rib was delicious and cooked perfectly Monday night is 1/2 price for a bottle of wine. The everything was perfect. Definitely will have dinner there again soon.
The prime rib had a lot of fat on it. Also had to send my potato back as it was barely warm. The salted caramel creme brûlée was way too salty and the custard layer not tasty at all. They did exchange my potato and bring it back very quickly.
Everything was great, as always. Disappointed that the price for “Taste of Burlington” was up but yet you could only choose 2, instead of 3 courses.
It was a quiet night at Canyon Creek so it was a perfect setting for a conversation over dinner. There were three fixed price menus available in addition to the full dinner menu. A good deal at $40 per person for a three course meal. Everyone was pleased with their selections and the service was attentive.
Great service and food! Will be back.
Went out for our anniversary - tried it on a recommendation from open table- great meal... ravioli is a definite fav!! Will go back - our server was also great
We were there for a late lunch at 230 so it was quiet with not many people. We tried the ahi tuna salad with beans, it was excellent, flavorful fresh and light. I hope they keep it on their menu.
Everything was perfect.
Party of 4 all had prime rib that appeared to have been warmed in a frying pan.
We ordered our meal and after selections were made we were than told our coupons weren’t valid. Rather awkward to have to reorder.
The service and atmosphere was fantastic. The ribs were overcooked and chewy. The burger very greasy. A disappointing experience on a special occassion.
Absolutely enjoyed our meal. Marta is a wonderful server.
We sat out outside and enjoyed the Thursday night live music. We each had a caesar salad—very fresh and tasty, but way to much dressing.
The NY steak with mushrooms was tender and delicious, but be warned, it was quite peppery. The restaurant also was serving free samples, which was very cool, interesting appetizer choices as well as free beer samples. Service by Leslie was very good, especially appreciated that she offered to have our shared meal plated separately. We always enjoy Canyon Creek!
My wife’s steak had to sent back, needed a few moments more to get to her ordered preference. Overall again a very good experience/dinner.
Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food is always delicious and prepared exactly they way we ordered. The food came super quick. We were just n and out within an hour for a 3 course meal.
Date night with the husband... dinner was great as was our server! Ambiance was nice and quiet and we sat in a beautiful comfy booth. The food was delicious!
Excited to go back soon.
The food was quite good for 3 of the 4 diners but the forth was dried out probably too long under the heat lamps. Service was slow with one salad delivered late. Overall we were a bit disappointed compared to previous visits. The reservation made through Open Table was not registered at the restaurant and we were fortunate to get a table since they were not busy. Assuming you have a reservation and then finding you don't is rather annoying.
The menu is fairly limited but the food was very good and the service was excellent. The day was hot and humid and the restaurant was pretty warm for our liking
Great food ,excellent service ,good value ,nice atmosphere
Jack was great and enthusiastic as our server. He made sure we got the most out of our evening and the variety of coupons we presented him with at the end of the night!
Chef forgot to remove toothpicks from steaks before serving. They were found prior to eating them. We’ve been to this particular location many times and this is the only time we remember having ANY issue. Will still return another time.
Service, ambience and reputation were great going in. I had been to this location once about 5 years ago and had high expectations for a great dinner to mark our evening's celebration. The appetizers came quickly and were quite good, however the mains were not enjoyed by anyone in our group. Steaks were cooked properly but the meat was thin for a steakhouse, flavorless and grizzly in 2 servings. Side dishes were small and not well prepared. The poor quality of the food at a time when the restaurant was only 60-70% full was most disappointing as it must be the accepted norm now for this location. With so many other good choices locally, we will not be back.
The food arrived warm not hot. I paid 12.99 for a lobster tail with my Prime Rib and it was burnt, dry and not much larger than a tiger shrimp.
For the price, the value is not there.
Ordered medium rare but was medium well prime rib.
They have 3 different seating areas, restaurant for families and talking, bar seating and patio, when you reserve you should tell which area do you prefer
Everything good as usual. Prime rib dinners served promptly and as ordered but what made this particular visit memorable was the exceptional service by our waiter. He made the overall experience 5☆!
Spent a lovely Friday afternoon enjoying lunch on the patio with friends. Service and food were great.
Great place. The service is always good, servers are friendly. The prime rib is the best we have ever had.
Serves Wes was amazing. Good food. Comfortable chairs and cozy ambiance. Little loud but overall excellent experience. Will return
My husband and I are regular diners at canyon creek. My brother and his wife were visiting us from B.C. and so we brought them to our favorite restaurant! They were thrilled with the whole experience. Our server, Allison was lovely and very attentive. The food was excellent as always!
A perfect place to enjoy a conversation with a friend or date while enjoying an amazing meal at the same time.
Disappointed in appetizers. No _ mussels, oysters, escargos, shrimp cocktail. Most 5 star restaurants feature above , which Canyon Creek use to do.
We had high expectations that were most of all met, but I became quite ill from the Chipotle marinated sirloin halfway through the meal. I became unable to swallow, even water was impossible and I am not sure if I had a reaction to the Chipotle or not, but it was quite disconcerting to say the least. Anyway, that is not the fault of the restaurant or the chef as my wife had the same dish without any ill effects so perhaps it was an allergic reaction. Great way to ruin a fine evening however, a shame. Might wish to warn folks who may be sensitive to spicy food however, it packs quite a punch it seems.
We have been to Canyon Creek s few times and have always had a fabulous experience.
This time the service was excellent, very attentive.
We got our appetizers super quick. The food wasn't as good as it has been in the past.
The Prime Rib was delicious. The sirloin ok. I got my food last and it was warm but not hot.
Can’t go wrong with a meal at canyon creek. Food is always prepared to a high level
I found the food to be lacking in both presentation and quality. The lack of presentation with dessert literally turned us off the dessert. The dessert was very plain Jane. Even with advance notice that we were celebrating my wife's birthday it was a terrible effort. Most restaurants offer dessert on the house not here. The waitress was ok but we definitely didnt feel that she was going to go out of her way. Disappointed with the entire experience and will NOT be returning.
Canyon Creek was busy by the time we arrived. Although our waitress was lovely, she was very slow and I suspect this was due to using the computer to take our order initially. She was just busy after that! I received my caesar salad - terrific! My lobster tails were gross. The first one barely had more than a tablespoon of meet although it should have been 4 ozs and there was no butter on the side for dipping. I waited 15 mins to tell the waitress and managed to eat some vegetables in the interim but sent both tails back. I was hungry and received another 2 lobster tails but no vegetables. Again the first lobster tail was extremely mushy which I couldn't eat but managed to consume the 2nd one. My son never received the mashed potatoes that he ordered and my son's girlfriend never received her gluten free bread. I have always loved Canyon Creek but the consensus was to never return. I'm sure I will again in future, but left hungry and disappointed. The manager did take my dinner off the bill so my son didn't pay for it.
We ate outside on the patio. It was around 2:00, a late lunch. Not very busy. Lunch consisted of 6oz prime rib with a salad and a burger with salad. Both meal were good portions and delicious. The server was amazing, helpful with suggestions and very attentive. Definitely one of our favourite lunch places.
