Caravan King's Cross
What Insiders Are Saying
The Kings Cross branch of Aussie coffee shop and all-day restaurant is perfect for flat whites and laid-back brunches. It’s also good for groups.
My favourite place to go and have recommended this place to many of my friends. Will be back soon.
Excellent evening. Good choice of vegetarian options. Friendly staff. I found the booming bass out of the speakers a bit loud.
Food was superb but service cold and calculating. It was all about getting our food out so that we could leave in time for the next seating.
Great food, tasty and combines old standards with modern flavours.
Busy, exciting venue with great food. Good for veggies and meat eaters alike. Highly recommend.
Delicious food, amazing, exciting flavours. £60 for lunch for 4 with non alcoholic drinks.
Seemed a little understaffed, was tricky to get attention although when we did, all the staff were lovely.
This used to be a favourite restaurant. This visit was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The table was not ready, the service was really terrible, nobody could be bothered, the food was very poor, thrown together and sometimes actually horrible, and the disappointment was huge. I could not recommend this restaurant to anybody. It used to be great, buzzy, and delicious, it's now expensive, unfriendly and awful. Shame!
Incredible food and atmosphere. I recommend trying the confit duck and the spiced cauliflower
Pleasant enough restaurant, industrial style however we had to ask for the music to be turned down as we were shouting at each other over the table and it was only 6pm. They did turn it down but it was still a tad on the loud side.
The Cod dish was really tasty and satisfying. Followed by orange almond cake, really good. The noise level was high and difficult until peak lunchtime was over. We were greeted with 2 glasses of apple juice which we thought were a gift until a waitress came to take them back! But by then we'd already consumed half, so a difficult conversation was had. Eventually it was agreed that they would be on the house
I am a regular diner at Granary Square branch and have enjoyed the experience every time. It is a vast cavern of a space and noisy so wouldn’t recommend as a romantic venue but if you don’t mind the chatter of other diners I’d say definitely try
Fantastic experience! Loved the food and the atmosphere. Staff were excellent and would happily go back.
Caravan was an ideal place for lunch. We chose the small plates and a salad bowl and all were very tasty. I especially liked the broken lamb meatballs. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is large and the music quite loud but there is a good atmosphere. Would definitely go there again.
Love it here, such good food and really friendly great service.
excellent food and cocktails. really interesting flavours. great value too.
This was our first visit to Caravan and we enjoyed every minute. Food was creative, atmosphere was buzzy and fun. Service was good, although there was a mix up with our desserts, which I felt it should have been reflected in the bill. We will definitely return, and recommend the venue to our friends
We had a catch-up with a group of 6 friends at Caravan. The food was yummy, but portion sizes are a bit small - definitely room for dessert! I've been here loads of times, and would definitely recommend!
Excellent lunch, good service and very convenient location.
Super quick and attentive service. Interesting food that was really tasty. We had a number of small plates which were delicious. The beans and lentils were pretty hot and spicy, a minor criticism as quite overpowering Loved the desserts. Looking forward to going again.
Winner winner chicken dinner. Love this place.
Lively, busy atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Good range of dishes available. Would recommend ordering a selection of small plates and treating them like tapas.
The food is fresh, full flavoured and delicious. Crisp, spicy, inventive. However, it's quite dark so if you're planning a working early dinner you might struggle to see your notes and from 6pm onwards it's noisy.
The waitress was fantastic which made the whole experience even better ( food was superb)
Awesome service and great atmosphere
Perfect as always and great service from Tom and the other staff- sorry I can't remember the others' names
Good food but terrible at catering for gluten free (despite having rung before & being told almost everything could be done gluten free). There was I think two small plates and one big plate and that was it, ie no choice. A lack of understanding of gluten with some staff members too. Generally unhelpful and despite the only things I could have being nice, the stress prior to that totally ruined the enjoyment of the place. Wouldn’t go back or recommend it to anyone with any allergies.
Good food, great choice. Good atmosphere, lovely location.
bustling and noisy location ojn the beautiful granary square development
There weren't enough gluten free options on the menu, which was disappointing as tapas usually has many gluten free options. The waiter also forgot to bring a side we asked for and it was difficult to get anyone's attention. The chocolate delice was a very nice dessert.
Fantastic food! Cauliflower and tofu delicious.
Why is the all day menu not until 5 on weekends?
Food was great but our waitress rushed us for the entire time we were there.
Exceptional hospitality and service experience. From front of house to waiting staff. Fantastic; great job Caravan!! Keep it up. That coupled with the ambience and the quality of the restaurant made it a wonderful dining experience; yet again.
The food was innovative, modern and delicious! Lots of small plates meant we were able to try a range of dishes. The vegetarian options were very good. The atmosphere on a Friday night was energetic
Good interesting dishes, quite generous portions so you don't need more than 3 or 4 max if you are sharing small plates.
Good quick lunch service, decent value but quite noisy - no sound absorbing materials on walls or ceiling.
Food was good. Service was professional - but could have been friendlier & warmer.
Fabulous restaurant - great staff and divine food. Well worth a visit
We met up with friends when visiting London for a few days, none of us had been to Caravan before. We had 8-9 dishes from the small plates menu, plus some fries, between the 4 of us and we loved every dish, I especially liked the cod dumplings.
After a friend introduced me to this place for an early lunch last month I booked a table for six this evening. We had a family reunion and do not know each other well. Various different food requirements - two of the party were Pescatarian and one has difficulty with too much spice. The waiter guided our choice and we had various sharing plates and a couple of pizzas. Eclectic food I particularly liked the cod and sea bass but all was tasty and fresh. Desserts to die for, excellent tea and coffee.
Courteous and friendly service from the moment I phoned to say we were arriving late (not knowing London well, we got lost).
Looking forward to my next visit.
Friendly efficient service and tasty food portioned well. Would revisit and recommend.
