Good meal. I think a tad overpriced, but good food. One of my daughters cocktails was forgotten and came after we ordered the wine.
Inside very noisy unfortunately by speaker outside so also noisy, toilet area unsatisfactory
A disappointing visit. The kitchen had ran out of chicken and the halloumi I ordered instead was the smallest slice I’ve ever seen, especially for the price.
The large sweet potato dish that my brother ordered was a very interesting large also.
It seemed that the kitchen had ran out of everything and therefore had changes the portion sizes to cater for customers.
Amazing food and atmosphere and we especially loved Francesca’s superb service. Super friendly and did everything possible to help us enjoy our time. Thank you!
Came here for dinner for two, was seated promptly. Drink order was taken quickly. Waited at least 20 minutes for the first drink to arrive. Ordered a glass of wine before ordering food, food arrived. Asked 3 times for my wine from various other servers ( our server was busy with some group tables) , but it never arrived. Was in the bill though. We were going to order dessert but service was just too slow. So we paid and left. We would have had 2 or 3 drinks each of we had had the opportunity. Our server was in fact excellent, she was clearly looking after the entire large and very busy section alone. The pizzas were good, unfortunately the two dishes I had my eye on were not available, but please with our food. Food also came quickly.
Met up with friends here had a lovely evening . Only gripe starters arrived with the mains . Everyone loved there food but my chikpea Dahl was a little dry. Definitely come back staff friendly and ambiance good .
Food was excellent. lovely relaxed vibe. Just a bit more attentiveness from staff required....found we were waiting quite a while to get the attention of staff for drinks orders. other than that would have been on the money!!
Lovely brunch, jalapeño cornbread with poached egg and chorizo was delicious
Lovely lunch. The seabass is one of my favourites on the current menu. Tender, tasty, fresh and ideal for lunch. We were seated outside, which was great despite one the seas being in full sun. Given, the current heatwave, this is fine. Staff were attentive, professional and friendly.
Daughter released from
Poor acoustics plus music makes conversation difficult. Nobody serving wearing masks.
Great as always! Small plates are the way to go! And lovely wine.
The staff were extremely accommodating and the food and drink was top notch
The three dishes that we thought of ordering were not available as, according to the waitress, the oven was broken. This limited our choice severely. We ended up with the chickpea dahl which was tasty and filling but the onion bhagees were over cooked and hard. There seemed to be only 3 desserts to choose from so not a great variety.
The waiting staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere very pleasant but |I had heard very positive feedback from friends and was a little disappointed. I thought the prices were rather high but put this down to the central London location.
Terrific offering on the menu construed with imagination. It is wonderful to read a menu and a wine list that is original and one that is easily enjoyed in the heat!
Top service but cold poached eggs are a big fat no! I also felt some of the fruit In the fruit bowl was very syrupy and possibly yesterday's fruit. Service was really excellent and lovely relaxed atmosphere
Good food, good atmosphere, good service, great spot, good fun!
Was really looking forward to having the vegan pancakes .. but some reason they ran out!? I mean how do you run out of flour? Was never brought any water to the table. The coffee was great! But the food which I had to get dairy free wasn’t anything to brag about . It’s a Shame as I was really looking forward to having breakfast here .
Great vibe, friendly staff, and lovely food and menu - went for breakfast - highly recommend (did have to request service a few times but that was ok)
Excellent food, great atmosphere and top service
Beautiful meal - flavours amazing. Atmosphere warm.
Always a pleasure to dine at Caravan. The food and ambiance are perfect.
Pizza was yummy, outdoor area has a great atmosphere, service was good. A little on the pricy side but, all in all, very good
Lovely restaurant in the heart of the Kings X granary district. Filled to the brim with hip, young, trendies. Lovely bar that looked buzzy. The food was surprisingly good value considering the location. Drinks were good - with a reasonable choice on offer. Menus faded to noting so waitress helpfully advised me to QR code it so that I could view it online - good idea. I would go there again - I had the seabass, which was tasty and an ice cream dessert, that could perhaps have been more adventurously designed - 2 scoops in a glass. Others on my table had pizza. The silence the descended when the food arrived is testament to the fact that it was good. Not outstanding, not awful and definitely worth another visit, if only for the buzzy atmosphere and Kings X magic. Btw, they were screening films just outside in an open air amphitheatre.
Lovely meal at caravan, great cocktails too. Good atmosphere and weren’t rushed.
Food was a strange mix, no idea what type of food it is supposed to be, apart from trendy. Didn’t recognise half the
Ingredients. Not for me. But was very popular, so will suit some.
Food was uninspiring - and not tasty, but great location
Not their fault but a gas leak meant once seated we were told a lot of choices were off the menu. It was more than half 😱 we managed to order a few dishes, not what we would have chosen but still tasty, seated outside, great waitress. Such a hot day so felt sorry for the staff but very enjoyable
Although the location and coffee is great when we went for lunch on a busy Friday we were told half the menu (at least 6 items) weren't avaliable leaving my only option as a veggie to be a really overpriced (£16) pizza that was undercooked. I asked if it was possible to get a simpler version of the brunch ot breakfast menu but this was refused. We weren't told about the lack of options avaliable until we had already been seated for 15 mins and a drink so couldn't leave.
The person who served us was quite rude and didn't apologise for the lack of options. It then took 55 minutes for the food to arrive (a salmon bowl and pizza) bill for two courses (soft drinks and main meal) was over £40.
Had a great breakfast sitting outside in the glorious sunshine.
Staff were very attentive and food was excellent. 5*
Pretty good food and coffee but the staff were quite rude and not very organised - we had staff checking in with us either every minute or not at all - seems to be no in between.
Nice staff - but badly trained. However relaxed, some things are just service in a restaurant!
The food is really expensive for what it is, I didn't find it very tasty, it's nice to sit outside but the food is really nothing special for the prices. Won't be going again.
Great place and lovely food. I would visit again!
Nice atmosphere, great variety of food selections. Just a bit pricy.
Great location. Bit of a mixed bag menu though.
We have visited Caravan Kings Cross before (2017). This was our 2nd or 3rd visit.
We arrived early and after scanning NHS App, we were shown to our table inside.
The noise was deafening and we could not read the menus so had to rely on the table staff to read the items out. We could not see the prices !
Whilst the food was good, we did not want to order alcoholic drinks as we could not see menu prices, etc.
Staff members were polite and attentive.
The cleanliness of the surroundings was of concern as although tables were wiped down, chairs were not.
Cutlery was left on the tables which is not ideal given that there still is a rampant pandemic. Cutlery should be brought out to the table just before food is served to maintain high hygienic conditions.
Tables laid out inside with minimal social distancing measures.
I/we hope this review helps you to adopt a more safe environment for all your customers.
Was very disappointed that it was only the brunch menu.
This was not made clear when booking or on your website.
The vegetarian options were not great.
The veggie brunch plate was mediocre at best and not cheap.
Great food, wonderful service and plenty of outside space!
Great food and atmosphere. Slightly over priced for what it is and service good except drinks came long after the food and one was forgotten. This was deducted from the bill without any discussion which was appreciated
