Everyone was friendly and very attentive even in this difficult situation we are all under.
Congratulations on giving a Covid 19 safe experience
Very attentive service. Helpful explaining menu. Considering just about to have to close due to Tier 3 restrictions very pleasant. Will go again when open
Excellent service. Full on flavours. Great easy spot in KX
Caravan never lets me down..it consistently delivers on great food, great service and a fun but relaxed ambience.
Delicious food and very attentive waiter. We sat outside which was lovely when the sun shone but unfortunately clouds, rain and wind came which made it chilly and a bit wet. They are definitely trying though and it is lovely to sit with Granary Square behind you rather than a road/pollution and traffic!
Bday celebration breakfast - really lovely food, easy and comfortable ambience - look forward to coming back again soon
Good food and service but outside dining not best equipped! Small umbrellas and not-powerful heaters. Do not go to eat outside if it’s raining as you will get wet.
Really lovely and varied menu. I love how easy it is to spot plant based and dairy free options. The cocktails are gorgeous.
Always a great night here. The food and the staff are lovely.
We had to sit outside due to covid rules and it was not set up well for the weather, just parasols and largely ineffective heaters. Although we were a 4, the table was very small, as were tables for 6, which didn’t feel overly covid compliant. When the wind blew we got rained on! The service was fine, as was the food.
Interesting brunch menu and all our dishes were fantastic! Big fan of Caravan coffee. We sat outside on a rainy day in December but the covers and heaters made it cosy and relaxed. Staff were fab and service quick.
The food was tasty but overpriced for what it was. The service was friendly but a bit slow.
We were outside, we had a really good time. The staff were very good and very CV19 aware. We should eat outside more. A nearby restaurant was giving out blankets, which might be an idea for Caravan.
outdoor dinining was fine with heaters etc. Food excellent as usual
The gf bread wasn’t celiac friendly and was also quite hard. Poached eggs were cooked in malt vinegar so also not celiac friendly. However the waiter was v good at communicating this! It wasn’t clear that we had to use the QR code the access the menu and could have done with slightly more attentive service as I only had one coffee during the meal. The outside seating is a real bonus, heat lamps, cushions and blankets available.
Everything about the experience was great except that the outside heaters aren't powerful enough to take the chill out of the December air. So take a woolly hat and gloves.
Caravan King's Cross is our new favorite destination because they do everything right. The staff are fun and friendly and it is easily accessed at their wide-open Granary Square location. The air is fresh and the ample outdoor seating with heaters, umbrellas, blankets, and rugs is comfortable and away from traffic. Their food is delicious with a good range of menu items for all including Vegetarians and special food allergy adaptions are offered for an acceptable price. But, sadly, our real reason for choosing Caravan King's Cross over any other London restaurant is that they follow social-distancing regulations as it should be done. Family can meet inside in a high-ceiling venue and friends can meet outside in ease knowing that this establishment has the security, safety, and comfort of guests prioritized. NHS apps. are scanned; temperatures taken, hand sanitizer offered, tables distanced and patrons screened. Caravan is not just a destination - it is an oasis in tough times. All - in - All; the coffee is great too. Make a reservation!
Food and service was really good. Our group had a mix of small plates and others having main meals - everyone very happy with the food.
Heaters outside are also very effective!
Only disappointment was the juice box cocktail which tasted more watery than juicy! And some of our group had slightly different menus after scanning the menu code!
Really helpful and friendly staff. Good vibe and lovely food & drink too!
Great pizza. Think you need to space people out more and not make everyone huddle together around those heaters. Surely investing in more heaters would be a good idea? I won’t be going back as the arrangement stands as it felt unsafe, I was definitely not far enough from other tables
Normally love coming here unfortunately this time the food was a real let down.
‘Smashed avo’ was barely a thin spread that didn’t cover the bread. Whole meal was on the Luke warm to cold side which didn’t make it very enjoyable and toast burnt. Dissapointing. However service was greet and ambience. Food did come out promptly just not how we had hoped
Loved the atmosphere and the staff! Felt spacious and not overcrowded but it had a buzz. Lovely food and drink. Great!
Check-in was easy and we were seated very quickly, right by a heater thankfully! It was busy but not too loud, making it the perfect atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and helpful making recommendations for meals and drinks. Plenty of social distancing and one way arrows inside for using the toilets. Will definitely be returning soon!
Saturday lunch outdoors with friends. The outdoor terrace is covered and the heaters were effective, so a good spot to meet, especially as Granary Square looks lovely at the moment. Service was excellent - super friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the all day dining menu is not available until 5pm on a Saturday, so we could only choose from the brunch menu (which we were not expecting). The dishes are quite interesting, the food is tasty (and came quickly), although portion sizes are quite modest - some of my companions ordered additional courses. Also some of our preferred desserts were not available, but I can recommend the vanilla ice cream with salted caramel sauce.
Really helpful member of the staff on the phone who assisted with my booking. Although the service was slightly slow, the food was absolutely delicious and great value for money. The outside area was suitably heated, and beautifully decorated for an ambient evening meal. Fantastic!
Not worth for a 5pm tea time with colleagues. They did not have cakes, heaters not enough for all the seatings required, waiter not properly trained.
It was just very cold, but this was no ones fault! Thanks very much
Tasty, great quality food at a fair price. By selecting the vegetarian options only, the result was an eclectic mix of dishes. I felt some dishes (eg the Labneh) could have been a bigger portion. I liked the selection of beer and wine. We will return again and again (as we have done for years).
Drinks were delicious and love the setting / general vibe, very relaxed! Service was great but they charged us for an additional drink then removed it as if it was a discount...so this drink was still included in the tip %. Meaning we ended up paying about 20% tip...service wasn't THAT good and hope this wasn't done internationally!
Overall great place for drinks and food!
Delicious food and overall good service considering how busy it was and being the day before starting latest lockdown. However, I did have to wait 15 mins from seating to being able to order, and my coffee arrived about 10 minutes after my food arrived. Nevertheless, Caravan is a good venue for an excellent coffee and delicious food: a fine way to go into lockdown.
Fairly disappointing. Really slow service. It took about 20 minutes before a waiter acknowledge us to get a drink order. Food was served before we got our drink, which simply was a bottle of wine, it then took 3 different waiters to bring it over. Food was good but nobody checked if we needed anything else foodwise or drinkwise. Same story for the bill...
Always delicious and varied menu offering a fresh and healthy choice of dishes. Its a large space so good distance between diners and all necessary measures put in place to keep everyone safe. Well worth a visit!
Great service and as always great food. Always enjoy Caravan.
As always, generally good, imaginative food, albeit from a limited menu, though main courses were very salty. Starters and drinks arrived extremely quickly - as did main courses, when we were still eating starters. When we ordered our mains, our waiter told us that he needed to check availability and disappeared to a computer screen - then did not return. We eventually persuaded another member of staff to call him over, when he confirmed that our order was available, and we asked to add a side dish. As a result, although the main courses arrived too early, the side dish did not arrive at all. When we questioned this a second time (as our main courses sat getting cold), we were treated as if it were our fault for not ordering the side at the same time as the mains - when we were not given any chance to do so! The side dish eventually came and was offered on the house. After we had finished our main course, and some (not all) of our plates removed, we were studiously ignored. Eventually, we attracted his attention to order a dessert.
We have eaten at Caravan numerous times, and service has generally been warm and efficient. We can only assume that this waiter was having a bad day. To be fair to Caravan, the dessert was also offered on the house.
Cracking service, tasty food and delicious cocktails. Couldn’t recommend more!
lovely place defo come back again and recommend to others.
Moh our server was amazing and really looked after my son after hearing it was his birthday in lock down and would have to be cancelled. He made my sons night and I didn’t have any cash to tip him so I hope he gets a pay rise soon.
Not up to it's normal high standard when it came to food. Appreciated it came quickly as we were sitting outside & staff were lovely- but food was just ok, not amazing
The food was very tasty and customer service was fabulous from start to finish. All staff were friendly and helpful. Will go back again
A great place for brunch and the staff have done a great job on COVID-19 awareness and management
